The Manager - Battery Technology group will contribute individually and lead a team to design and mass produce the "best-in-class" battery solutions. Job Purpose
The Manufacturing Process Engineer Supervisor is responsible for leading the team of engineers who maintain and develop the sequence of assembly and operations standards in the Assembly Department at our East Liberty Auto Plant. Process Engineer is responsible for assembly process development and determining the sequence of assembly for spec parts based upon existing process/parts lay out/ST and/or the maintenance and optimization of established process to achieve the SQCDM metrics.
Key Accountabilities
- Continuous development of self, colleagues, and team through training and mentoring to proactively improve areas of technical expertise for personal and team growth.
- Lead and/or support collaborative development and problem-solving utilizing manufacturing solutions with existing and new technology.
- Lead/support process development and maturation to achieve project targets.
- Build process expertise to represent the department through communication to management.
- Link to department initiatives in the area of technical expertise; (business plan, investment, FSI, Monozukuri, and Global Mother).
- Understand/manage T-Stage (Trail stage) or mass production design change impact to process design.
- Develop and maintain accuracy of systems required to support production. (Operation Standards, parts, PDDA, time standards, delivery locations, part flows, layouts….etc)
- Design and improve process efficiency for maximum manpower utilization to establish direct process coverage (DPC).
- Develop department sourcing strategies to optimize cost effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other departments, factories or experts for development and improvements as well as impact to the department (Packaging, Purchasing, APQ, QIC, New Model, Equipment, Safety, Quality… etc.)
- Strive for continuous improvement through cycling PDCA for area of responsibility to ensure associate success.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial and Robotics); or 8 years equivalent relevant experience.
- A minimum of two years of experience.
- 2 years mass production assembly experience, preferred.
- Knowledge of: Process Data Development and Analysis (PDDA); process engineering (MOST); parts numbers, BOM, and applications; Assembly (AF) quality control systems and specification; Assembly (AF) techniques and processes; New model project development; quality control systems and work flows; Assembly (AF) department layout and equipment.
- Skill in: Utilizing 2D and 3D drafting utilities - CATIA; analytical problem solving and decision making; project management.

**Pay Range:**
$91,800.00 - $153,200.00

The Engineering Program Manager will be responsible for managing embedded software planning and implementation activities for a light duty automotive application, with a secondary focus on systems engineering and change control process management.
This role supports the sustainment phase of the program lifecycle and will lead the effort in identifying obsolescence issues, gaining cross-functional alignment and approval on program scope alongside the Software and Systems engineering teams, and preparing documentation to transition the project to the platform team.
In addition, the Program Manager will drive the Software team's change control process by with a focus on organization, documentation, and communication.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical coordination, process discipline, and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
**YOUR IMPACT:**
+ Lead obsolescence planning efforts for embedded software-affected components on an automotive program, including initiating and managing the project approval process to formally launch obsolescence workstreams.
+ Developidentified obsolescence projects from issue identification toscoping and developing project plans alongside the Software and Systems engineering teams, gaining budgetary alignment and approval,organizing design review material, and preparing the appropriate assumptions, timing plans, and risk assessment documentation to transitionthe project to the platform team.
+ Manage the handoff of the project to the platform team and provide continued organizational support to the cross-functional team
+ Demonstrate a functional understanding of proper program management processes
+ Coordinate the Software and Systems teams change management process, including the organization and facilitation of regular change control meetings, reviewing engineering change tickets, setting meeting agendas, and ensuring timely resolution and closure of issues.
+ Ensure compliance with formal change management processes and protocols across all program activities.
+ Oversee cross-functional alignment with Systems/Software Engineering, Program Management, Configuration Management, and Platform Engineering teams to support both reactive and proactive change initiatives.
+ Monitor and report on change management metrics and project milestones to ensure timely delivery and risk mitigation.
+ Maintain comprehensive documentation for all program and project software changes
+ Identify and escalate risks or bottlenecks in obsolescence or change management processes and drive solutions to ensure project success.
