Responsibilities

• Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom and other electrical systems
• Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems.
• Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.).
• Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components.
• Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them.
• Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.
• Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Proven experience as a Journeyman. MUST BE A LICENSED JOURNEYMAN FOR THE STATE OF TEXAS.
• Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.
• Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
• Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician.

The Program Manager will oversee and lead wildfire mitigation and electric distribution projects to ensure the safety and reliability of power delivery. This role involves developing strategic plans, managing budgets, and overseeing both internal and external resources. The Program Manager also handles risk management, project scope changes, and maintains effective communication with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience leading electric distribution and utility capital projects. This work is critical in protecting customers and enhancing the safety of electric systems against wildfire risks and maintaining reliable power delivery.

• Provide overall program oversight for wildfire mitigation and distribution infrastructure projects.
• Lead coordination and performance monitoring across multiple project teams.
• Implement program governance structures, reporting tools, and KPI dashboards.
• Manage program budgets, resource planning, and portfolio risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with client leadership to align program priorities and resolve escalated issues.
• Track and report on key metrics such as cost, schedule performance, and project readiness.
• Identify process improvements to enhance delivery efficiency and mitigate wildfire risk.
• Ensure compliance with utility standards, regulatory mandates, and public safety requirements.

• 8+ years of experience managing capital project portfolios required, preferably in electric distribution or utility sectors.
• Direct experience leading wildfire mitigation programs required (e.g., hardening, undergrounding, vegetation management integration).
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• PMP or Project Management certification highly preferred.
• Expertise in program controls, cost/schedule management, and regulatory compliance.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead project teams and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6, Power BI, MS Project, SAP, and portfolio reporting tools.
• Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

$124,000 - $187,000 per year

Onsite 3-4 days per week in the Amarillo, TX office.

1. Locating Underground Utilities:
   • Correctly, safely, and efficiently locates underground utilities, including power, water, reclaimed water and wastewater lines.
   • Thoroughly searches for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location to standardized color codes and completing the necessary documentation.
   • Performs underground utility locates using specialized equipment and tools.
   • Identifies and marks the location of underground utility lines on job sites to prevent line strikes or service interruptions.
   • Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities
2. Documentation and Reporting
   • Maintains accurate and precise records of all underground utility locates performed.
   • Provides SMTXU or Engineering with detailed reports of utility markings and coordinates.
   • Communicates with team members and clients regarding utility line locates to ensure project objectives are met.
3. Miscellaneous
   • Adheres to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
   • Participates in safety meetings and ongoing training programs.
   • Provides after-hours locating services for emergency needs.

In this role, you'll use design software to support underground and overhead electrical distribution projects. You'll handle basic design engineering tasks, submit and manage permits, and assist in producing plans, specifications, reports, diagrams, and engineering documents from preliminary scope to construction status.

You'll also manage your workload and projects to ensure everything runs smoothly. Expect to travel up to 20% of the time for field visits, project data collection, and construction coordination and verification.
