Looking for an electrical apprentice with a basic understanding of the electrical trade (e.g., familiarity with electricians tools, familiarity with electrical parts, basic understanding of the trade, etc.). The job required travel, typically Monday through Friday. We are a building automation/electrical company that works primarily in commercial/industrial applications. Daily per-diem is paid on ALL overnight projects, all other expenses are paid by EMSBD including travel to and from projects. Job Summary:

The applicant will have the knowledge, skills and ability to successfully layout a site and install electrical run. This will include PVC, Rigid, EMT. Able to perform job in a timely, professional, and safely manner.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for company provided vehicle, trailer, tools, equipment and supplies
• Dig trenches or running underground electrical pipe (conduit)
• Load / unload equipment and material
• Pull wire and install electrical services
• Learn how to bend and install conduit
• Clean up at the end of the day
• Set pole and meter bases
• Set and wire in cabinets
• Set concrete foundations for cabinets
• Shoveling and raking dirt and gravel
• Pick up trash on site daily
• Take pictures of final work and provide all turnover documentation
• Must be able to climb roof tops of all types and to perform job duties from high places.
• Must be able to pull own body weight plus equipment weight up roofs and vertical tower repeatedly
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, sit, and climb ladders and communication towers and work in an elevated position
• Frequently required to use hand and power tools
• Must have the ability to climb extended heights upwards of 200 feet
• Other duties as assigned

• The electrical apprentice is partnered with a licensed journeyman electrician and has on-the-job training (OJT) to become an electrician.
  
• You'll help perform electrical installations of a multifamily and commercial nature.
  
• Learn and perform all scopes of large-scale projects, from distribution to rough in, trim and deck work.

• Assist with safely planning and completing Main Panel Upgrades (MPU)  
• Assist with diagnosing and troubleshooting system components to resolve electrical    issues  
• Ensure work performed is of good craftsmanship and compliant with current NEC and local codes
