We are urgently seeking an experienced Electrical Designer with a strong experience in BIM design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing design in Revit for engineering services on design-build and/or bid-build projects across various sectors, including industrial, data centers, commercial, government, and energy.
Responsibilities
+ Provide drafting design in Revit for engineering services on design-build and/or bid-build projects.
+ Perform annotations independently and ensure accuracy in design work.
+ Model and coordinate clashes in Revit.
+ Conduct QA/QC on shop drawings prior to release for construction.
+ Ensure designs comply with National Electrical Code for safe installation of electrical equipment.
Essential Skills

Work Environment
Our office is located in Laurel, MD, where you will work most of the time, with occasional fieldwork. We maintain core hours, allowing flexibility in arrival and departure times as long as a full day is worked. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $57.69/hr.

Responsibilities
+ Create detailed electrical drawings under the direction of a licensed engineer using Revit.

**Job Description:**
**General Summary:**
The Electrical Designer, with some supervision from the senior staff and/or the Manager of Electrical Engineering, will provide electrical analysis, design and drafting skills for lighting, power and associated control systems, and low voltage systems such as IT and fire alarm for new construction and/or renovation of industrial, commercial, educational, governmental, and healthcare structures in conformance to client requirements and applicable codes. The Electrical Designer will provide design and engineering to develop construction documents for the installation, interconnection, and control of architectural, electrical, and mechanical components.
**Essential Job Functions:**
+ Possess / demonstrate the engineering knowledge and understanding to design and analyze electrical systems for the installation, interconnection, and control of architectural, electrical and mechanical components.
+ Using applicable codes and standards, design lighting and power distribution systems, low voltage systems (e.g. fire alarm systems, telecommunications/data networks, lighting control systems, power monitoring systems, etc.), and sizing of equipment.
+ Knowledge of the NFPA standards, as they apply to the electrical design
+ Able to adhere to project quality, budget, and schedule.
+ Prepare feasibility studies and schematic design packages of lighting, power systems, etc.
+ Possess / demonstrate the graphic ability to produce construction documents per company and client standards
+ Communicate and work with all other disciplines to produce coordinated construction documents
+ Conduct field measuring and checking at the project site

Your Opportunity
The Electrical Designer will work with direct supervision and general direction on tasks and smaller projects as a team member of a larger engineering team under the guidance of a Senior Engineer/Designer. You will assist in evaluating, selecting, specifying, and engineering certain electrical power and lighting systems or products for a project verifying compliance with applicable codes and internal engineering standards / practices. **Position Title:** Electrical Designer (Commercial and Data Center experience)
**Reports to:** Managing Engineer
**Location:** Roseville, CA- Hybrid-on-site 3 days a week
**Salary** **:** $125,000-140,000

**Position Summary:**
Engineer Level 3: Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications. Assignments have clear and specified objectives. This level requires developmental experience in a professional position or equivalent graduate-level education. Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions. Assistance is furnished on unusual problems. Work is reviewed for correctness and application of the QAQC Process and professional judgment. Includes responsibilities and tasks outlined in Engineer Levels 1 - 2.
**Supervisory Responsibilities:**
+ May supervise or coordinate the work of other designers and CAD/VDC production team.
**Essential Job Functions:**
+ Perform independent design and modeling of power and lighting systems for Commercial - Industrial - Data Center facilities
+ Perform design tasks assigned by lead Engineers
+ Assemble design drawings and documents and provide or coordinate delivery
+ Utilize software tools to perform broad range of engineering calculations and reports
+ Prepare and coordinates portions of design effort and project scope requirements
**Other Functions:**
+ Increased interaction with Project manager, external design team and information management
+ Maintain professional and technical development goals to acquire PE certification
+ Mentor Designers
+ Obtain Professional Development and Training
**Other Responsibilities:**
+ Thorough understanding of the Engineering department's design and CAD/VDC workflows
+ Thorough understanding of CEI's business inter-department functions
+ Thorough proficient use of AutoCAD - MEP/REVIT, CAD and file management
+ Thorough proficient understanding of fundamental power & lighting systems
+ Thorough understanding of the various State and National CODES governing our work
+ Provide Conformance to the Standards and processes outlined by the CAD/VDC Manager
+ Support team and department objectives for individual and department development.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Electrical Engineering or similar Bachelor of Science degree
+ 4-6 years working for an electrical design firm or design build electrical contractor
+ Basic Microsoft Office applications, AutoCAD - MEP/REVIT - Etap/SKM (desired)
+ Good time management, communication and people skills
+ Engineer in Training (EIT) certified desired

Electrical Designer
Job Description
We are urgently seeking an experienced Electrical Designer with a strong experience in BIM design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing design in Revit for engineering services on design-build and/or bid-build projects across various sectors, including industrial, data centers, commercial, government, and energy.
Responsibilities
+ Provide drafting design in Revit for engineering services on design-build and/or bid-build projects.
+ Perform annotations independently and ensure accuracy in design work.
+ Model and coordinate clashes in Revit.
+ Conduct QA/QC on shop drawings prior to release for construction.
+ Ensure designs comply with National Electrical Code for safe installation of electrical equipment.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in electrical design and engineering.
+ Proficiency in Revit for electrical design and BIM coordination.
+ Knowledge of AutoCAD.
+ Familiarity with National Electrical Code.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 2 to 10 years of experience in Electrical MEP design.
+ Experience with AutoCAD Electrical.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ No degree required
Work Environment
Our office is located in Laurel, MD, where you will work most of the time, with occasional fieldwork. We maintain core hours, allowing flexibility in arrival and departure times as long as a full day is worked. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $57.69/hr.

**Job Description:**
+ The Electrical Designer position requires 0-10 years of related experience and an associate degree in electrical engineering, electrical design, or a related field.
+ A bachelor's degree is a plus.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Job responsibilities include collaborating with project teams to understand electrical design requirements and objectives, develop electrical designs, including system layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams
+ Utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks Electrical) to create and modify electrical drawings.
+ Maintain proficiency in design software and stay updated on software enhancements, designing electrical systems for industrial machinery, building systems, automation, or other applications.
+ Specify and select electrical components, equipment, and materials, ensuring that electrical designs adhere to industry standards, electrical codes, and regulatory requirements.
+ Conduct code reviews and updates as necessary, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineers and architects, to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
+ Addressing design-related issues and provide design solutions.
+ Creating and maintaining organized documentation of electrical designs, including drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs).
+ Preparing technical reports and documentation for project deliverables and performing quality checks and reviews of electrical designs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project goals.
+ Skillsets and expertise required for this position experience as an Electrical Designer or a similar role, with proficiency in CAD software for electrical design.
+ Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and design practices.
+ Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE), effective communication and interpersonal skills, detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality electrical designs.
+ Ability to collaborate within a team and with project stakeholders.
+ Experience with PLC programming and control systems is a plus, and the ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors.
