Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-depth diagnostics on automotive electrical and electronic systems using advanced scan tools and equipment.
- Interpret diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and technical service bulletins (TSBs) to identify root causes of problems.
- Repair or replace faulty electrical components, wiring harnesses, sensors, and control modules.
- Utilize oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools to test circuit integrity and performance.
- Service and repair vehicle electronic systems, including infotainment, navigation, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and body control modules.
- Maintain accurate repair records and document all diagnostic procedures and findings.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive electrical technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training.
- Ensure all repairs are performed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding repair recommendations and findings.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Principal Accountabilities
- Completing preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial electrical work throughout the facility
- Documenting all completed work and the conditions found, utilizing maintenance computer software as necessary
- Installing, maintaining, testing, evaluating, and repairing various electrical components and systems including medium voltage automation systems and motor control circuits
- Comprehending mechanical/electrical schematics, blueprints, and/or operation manuals
- Operating forklifts and/or scissor lifts
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions in a warm or cool environment, as well as slippery surfaces at varied heights
- Standing for long periods of time, the use of stairs and ladders, and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas of the facility
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work in the US without an humanitarian Parole status related to Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua or Venezuela which is subject to the Federal Register Notice of revocation by DHS on March 25, 2025
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have a valid and active Rhode Island Electrical B or M license
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting to 50 lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions with the use of PPE, which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays with advance notice
- Basic use of a computer
- Basic experience troubleshooting and maintaining various electrical components and systems including medium voltage automation systems and/or motor control circuits
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Technical diploma or certification from a trade school, or a minimum of two years relevant work experience
- Advanced experience troubleshooting and maintaining various electrical components and systems including medium voltage automation systems and/or motor control circuits
- Experience with programming software, such as Rockwell, Siemens, etc
- Experience working with food industry technology, such as scales, metal detectors, etc
- Experience with creating, installing, and troubleshooting wiring system layouts and circuit routing
- Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and Electronics Programming (PLC)
