Security sensitive; three-year driving record and criminal background checks conducted on selected candidate. Applicant required to successfully complete physical abilities testing to remove/replace a large manhole cover weighing 100 lbs. and drag 10 ft.; push/pull 100 lbs. resistance; lift/carry 90 lbs., lift one-45 lbs. of weight up a ladder, kneeling work in confined spaces, and other tasks. PurposeProvide journeyman-level skills and expertise applicable to the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, repair, and evaluation of medium voltage electrical power distribution systems. Repair and maintain the outdoor area, street, and recreation/spotlighting.
Responsibilities- Follow all University and UEM safety policies and procedures, take required safety training, and identify and report safety hazards. Perform work tasks in a safe manner, wear the proper personal protective equipment, and report near misses and incidents. - Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify low and medium voltage metal-enclosed and metal-clad switchgear. All underground, exposed and overhead distribution systems including raceway, insulated, and non-insulated cable systems, all lighting systems, and all emergency systems. It is expected you will document work electronically.
- Medium, and low voltage cable pulling, and splicing for lead jacketed and EPR cables. Designated personnel required to climb high structures for servicing lighting.
- Update record drawings and create switching orders. Review and evaluate design proposals and specifications for feasibility. Effectively communicate verbally and electronically.
- Operate forklift, bobcat, backhoe, bucket truck, cable trailer, cable pulling devices, and assorted personnel lifts. Drive UT vehicle. Experience with standard hand tools, digital voltohm meter, high voltage tester, high pot, megohmmeter.
- Perform other related functions as assigned.
- Training certification required within 18 months. Maintains acceptable driving record as required by UT Systems Policy UTS157. Required to wear uniforms and carry University issues cell phone during work and on call hours. Participate in the on-call program and working after-hours.

- Three years of lineman experience.
- Ability to use personal computer for developing drawings and providing written instructions.
- Accuracy in developing record drawings, and equipment specifications.

This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.

**Job Summary**
The Electrical Distribution Operations Manager provides administrative and technical management for projects and direction of field operations through subordinate managers. This position manages field operations and works with customers, senior leaders, as well as personnel from various other departments.
Responsibilities
+ Oversee total construction effort to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
+ Interface with field managers, clients, subcontractors, and owners to assure customer satisfaction.
+ Plan, coordinate, and/or supervise activities of all operations' employees on assigned projects.
+ Confer with project personnel to update project schedules on a weekly basis.
+ Keep direct contact with projects in progress by visiting project sites.
+ Assist in disputes on all projects, negotiating as required to reach a resolution of construction problems.
+ Oversee all bid projects, including P&L responsibility and management of fleet assets dedicated to bid projects.
+ Work with Office Manager to ensure compliance with all internal reporting deadlines.
+ Prepare weekly revenue and cost reports.

+ Cultivate and continuously seek to enhance an in-depth understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities.
+ Assist with implementation/interpretation of safety programs. Liaise with estimating to ensure projects comply with cost, revenue, and schedule.
