JOB SUMMARY:
The Assistant/Associate Professor position is a split appointment (75% teaching and 25% teaching), full-time, 9-month and tenure track position in the Engineering Technology Department. The faculty will teach undergraduate level courses related to Electronic Engineering Technology and advise students as needed by the Department. The incumbent will also conduct research in one of such areas: Sensor Integration, Energy Efficiency, smart grids, power electronics and control.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach Electrical Engineering undergraduate level courses.
- Provide instruction in the areas of Electronic Engineering Technology and across the other departmental disciplines as needed via Face-to-face, Desire2Learn (D2L) and other technical modalities.
- Maintain office hours on campus and virtually (off-campus).
- Participate in student recruitment.
- Pursue a research agenda through various scholarly activities.
- Participate in research and extension activities.
- Advise students in the major.
- Participate in continuous assessment of program-level and student learning outcomes.
- Provide service to the Department, College, University, and professional organizations.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Provide an on-campus presence to meet with and to serve students, and to collaborate with colleagues in the department and across campus to fulfill service roles.
- Support the department in development and execution of in-person, hybrid and online courses, program evaluation, and accreditation processes.
- Conduct research in the field of agriculture, which applies up to date technology in Electrical Engineering into agricultural aspects.
- Seeking scholarships, grants to assist the agriculture college in developing innovative ideas for future proposals, writing grant proposals, and serving as Co-PI/PI on grants.
MINIMUM QUALFICIATIONS
- Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering field-accredited university.
- Strong evidence of effective and diverse university teaching experience.
- Conduct agricultural research in one of the areas: Sensor Integration, Energy Efficiency, smart grids, power electronics and control.

New York City College of Technology of the City University of New York (CUNY), a comprehensive college offering associate and baccalaureate degrees, invites applications for a lecturer position in the Department of Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering Technology to begin in the fall 2025 semester. This is a full-time position that leads to a certificate of continuous employment.
The department's associate degree program in electrical engineering technology (AAS) prepares graduates for careers as electronic technicians. The baccalaureate program in electrical engineering technology (BTech) prepares graduates for careers as electrical technologists. The BTech program builds upon the skills learned in the first two years and adds more advanced study in data communications, coding, computer systems, satellite, fiber optic communications, power systems, control systems, mechatronics, and power electronics among several other emerging telecom and electrical engineering technology courses. Both programs are accredited by ETAC of ABET. The employers of graduates include Citicorp, MTA, Verizon, and Con Edison among others.
Faculty members in the department teach a wide spectrum of courses, from basic electrical and electronic concepts to modern telecommunications, including support for emerging applications.
The department seeks a candidate with expertise in electrical engineering technology with emphasis in one of the following fields:

**QUALIFICATIONS**
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or related field and the ability to teach successfully.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
+ A master's degree, doctorate, or doctoral equivalent (master's degree and PE license) in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
+ A minimum of three years of teaching at the college level and/or of industrial experience is strongly preferred.
**COMPENSATION**
$69,983 - $88,998. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
CUNY is in the process of implementing salary schedule increases. Once implemented, salaries of eligible employees will be adjusted by 6.09% with additional increases of 3.25% effective 9/01/2025 and 3.5% effective 9/01/2026, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement.
