Riverdale Mill, located in Selma AL, is a complex, fully integrated pulp and paper manufacturing facility with two machines, one producing Brite Top liner and one producing uncoated free sheet. In addition to the machines, the mill includes multiple process lines, including wood handling, pulping and OCC, power and recovery, sheeting operations and effluent treatment. The E/l FLL leads a electrical instrumentation maintenance crew of approximately ten (10) hourly team members supporting one of Riverdale Mill's operating areas, and works in partnership with the area Mechanical FLL to ensure the reliable operation of the area equipment. This position reports to the Business Unit Area Maintenance Manager (AMM).
**The Job You Will Perform:**
+ Lead and direct the E/I team in a goal-oriented environment to deliver results in the areas of safety, engagement, and reliability excellence.
+ Manage team compliance with company and mill policies, procedures, and other requirements.
+ Approve pay and vacation scheduling for the team, and complete other administrative tasks consistent with the requirements of the labor agreement and mill/company policy.
+ Conduct 1:1s with employees to provide and receive guidance and development feedback.
+ Identify individual and organizational training needs and implement training plans (hard and soft skills).
+ Coordinate with operations to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities.
+ Coordinate with AMM and with other areas of the mill to share maintenance resources when necessary to accomplish maintenance tasks mill wide.
+ Implement and sustain 5S
+ Effectively manage available resources on daily basis through efficient planning and scheduling activities
+ Continually assess training needs of crew members in order to provide learning opportunities
+ Respond appropriately to off-shift, off-day and maintenance shift problems
+ Responsible for team's time and attendance, performance, and record keeping
+ Communicate appropriately to ensure operations is knowledgeable of maintenance activities through the daily and weekly planning meetings
+ Troubleshoot equipment issues and support identification and implementation of solutions.
+ Serve as contractor coordinator for vendor or contractor resources when necessary.
+ Serve as a key member of the MWS team, fulfilling positional responsibilities within the MWS process.
+ Complete responsibilities in alignment with IP reliability systems (RCFA, PM/PdM, Precision Maintenance, etc.)
+ PLC knowledge and experience
+ Working knowledge of Allen Bradley and ABB drive systems is desirable
+ Improve existing or implement new work systems as necessary to ensure the sustainability of progress/positive results.
+ Serve on a weekend duty team for the Maintenance department.

Role Summary:

The Supervisor, Line Maintenance oversees the execution of aircraft maintenance at Alaska Airlines (AS). Key Duties:

  • Communicates with the Shift Manager, On-Duty Maintenance Control regarding the status of aircraft at or transitioning to/from the station.
  • Ensures all scheduled line maintenance work is accomplished in accordance with the plan for assigned station.
  • Reviews all logbook items to ensure discrepancies are corrected to prevent recurring write-ups.
  • Monitors inspection forms, work orders, and all paperwork as well as inventory to ensure the prompt requisition of materials.
  • Checks the accuracy of all log sheets.
  • Accurately estimates maintenance delays and advises others of delays.
  • Enforces all safety rules and encourages and promotes safety awareness to all assigned personnel.
  • Complies with the provisions of the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternity Association Agreement and address any concerns or issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills:

Required

  • 3 years of experience in Aircraft Systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
  • Airframe and Powerplant licenses.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and company procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate people and communicate effectively (e.g., verbal, written, listening).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

  • Airbus and Boeing Experience.
  • Ability to learn union labor workforce contracts application and administration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve technical issues.

A Day In The Life of a Maintenance Manager

The position you are applying for plans, coordinates, and directs aircraft maintenance at a line station to produce cost-effective, reliable maintenance operations in compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations. You will also ensure the facility is maintained in compliance with company and OSHA regulations.

Essential Duties of The Maintenance Manager

  • Manages mechanics in overall maintenance operation in compliance with 14 CFR, manufacturers' specifications, the GMM, Company policy and procedures, and other methods accepted by the FAA and OSHA.
  • Assists in and/or develops effective schedules to meet the operation's demands. Utilizes manpower and schedules to complete maintenance effectively.

  • Develops innovative solutions to make aircraft maintenance processes more efficient and effective.

Position Summary

Thales is looking for an Line Maintenance Supervisor, is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and controlling maintenance operations for line and overnight maintenance on all customer aircraft. Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Manages and supervises all aspects of Line Maintenance and ensures all work is scheduled and performed in a safe and efficient manner. Performs, monitors, and reports daily operational activities to ensure Customer and Thales objectives are met, underperformance identified and resolution plans executed.   • Monitor human performance factors such as morale, fatigue, stress, depression and other factors affecting personnel.   • The training program meets the regulatory requirements of local and applicable international regulatory agencies and company objectives. Ensure the General Maintenance Manual and Safety Management System is employed throughout the Line Maintenance Operation and Staff. Identify gaps in manuals and work with Safety & Quality Department personnel to resolve issues. Liaison with other departments and work as teams to plan future maintenance activities to include; forecasting labor requirements, identifying specialized training, tooling, certifications, and materials.
  • Represents Line Maintenance to identify and address material obsolescence issues with other functional departments such as Quality, Procurement, Engineering, and other departments as necessary to resolve issues. Ensures processes and procedures are established, maintained and followed within the Safety, Quality, Material, Repair, and Administrative functions of the Line Maintenance Station.
  • Provide a point of contact for the FAA, EASA, DGAC, GACA, and Customer/Company Quality Assurance for repair and service inquiries at Line Maintenance Station. May have interaction with customers to resolve issues. Accountability for maintenance activity costs. Be the guarantor of Thales' integrated service offering/branding. Manage Line Maintenance Station budget, analyze station actual cost, develop an action plan for the overage. Responsible for reporting regularly Station financial cost to management. Initiates process improvement opportunities and implement solutions to gain bottom-line financial results.
  • Ability to measure and gage financial impact on aircraft seat degradation and line maintenance errors causing significant disruption to operations and or major costs for Thales. Responsible for responding to ad hoc requests, capturing financial data/information from local customer management and work with Thales Program Management team to capture unplanned revenue. Maintain frequent communication with the local Customer Maintenance Management team regarding aircraft IFE and Connectivity status. Provide outstanding Line Maintenance support by collaborating with local customers' management to provide maximum operational performance while minimizing customer impact. Regularly interact with customers to promote Thales Brand and to measure the level of customer satisfaction. Use customer feedback to constantly develop and improve capabilities and processes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate Degree (Technical or Managerial), such as Aeronautical Maintenance / Engineering, Aviation Management, Business Administration, etc. OR a High School Diploma/High School GED with 5 years of Aircraft Maintenance experience. FAA Certification, Airframe & Powerplant License (A&P) under FAR Part 65. Or Thales Repairman Certificate working towards A&P certification.
  • 3 years of Aircraft Line Maintenance in a Leadership role. Demonstrated experience in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Ability to work independently and handle high pressure situations is essential. Demonstrated experience in developing relationships and networking within organization, regulatory agencies and customers.
  • Must have experience in one or more of the following: Line Maintenance, Cabin Maintenance, General Aircraft Maintenance, or Repair Station. Ability to read documents (technical and non-technical), maintenance, procedural manuals and wiring diagrams.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Knowledgeable of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR's). Willing and able to work rotating shifts including nights, holidays and weekends.

Position Summary

Thales is looking for a Line Maintenance Technician performs line maintenance work, installation work, repair station work, and ground equipment maintenance work on the Thales In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) Systems in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration Regulations (FARs), airline customers' maintenance manuals and internal operating procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to obtain local airport Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge and Customs clearance as required. Must be a US Person as defined in applicable law.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma required. Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate required. Meet recent experience requirements in accordance with 14 CFR 65.83.
  • Must be willing to travel domestically and, if required, internationally. Able to obtain and maintain Customs Clearance for airport security badge (as required for job duties). Must possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a record that meets our insurance standards.
  • Able to drive tugs, trucks, lift trucks, snorkel lift, boom lift and tractor after attending training.
  • Must pass 7-year background check which includes fingerprinting, pre-employment drug test, and criminal history records check (CHRC).
  • Strong in avionics, able to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and follow written procedures and instructions. Ability to terminate electrical connectors utilizing proper crimp methods as well as proper soldering methods acceptable in the aviation industry. Ability to work on problems of moderate scope and analyze data/situations. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Will be required to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge in Avionics/Electronics

  • Schedule: 3rd shift: 9pm - 7:30am, 4-day work week.

+ Oversee service deliveries to PAC customers within the assigned area, meeting contractual commitments in an efficient and cost effective manner.
+ Maintain 99.95 % Dispatch Reliability for MS Serviced Aircraft.
+ Coordinate with all "third party" maintenance organizations to ensure service agreements are being met.
+ Coordinate with MOC to ensure that tasks related to Customer Chronic Aircraft and open items are completed in a timely manner.
+ Coordinate effective media loading within area of responsibility.
The salary or hourly wage range of $97,200 - $175,000 is just one component of Panasonic's total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual's knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
**What We're Looking For:**
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
+ BA/BS degree strongly desired.
+ Valid A&P, EASA, CASA or appropriate licensing specific to region
+ 5 years of previous Airlines "line maintenance" experience, 2 of which should be in Electronic/Avionics line or work shop environment.
+ 4-Years in a front line supervisory position with 2+ years of direct responsibility for four or more subordinates.
+ Must hold a valid driver's license.
+ Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
+ Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).
+ Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
+ Manages, perhaps through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
+ Good computer skills including three years experience on actual application of MS Windows, Word, Excel, and email.
+ MS Project experience is a plus.
+ Practical and theoretical knowledge of electronics and troubleshooting (preferably acquired through commercial aviation, military experience or technical school education combined with one or two years of related industry experience) or technical ability and experience to learn and trouble-shoot computer networking systems.
+ Good understanding of financial controls and budgets.
+ Ability to work well with others in small groups and with difficult people.
+ Ability to interface easily with senior level management.
+ Ability to communicate effectively, in English, both in writing and verbally to all levels of the organization as well as external customers.
+ Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations at high level meetings.
+ Ability to manage a 24/7 operation.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
+ Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
+ Must pass extensive security, and background checks.
+ Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to meet the requirements of the airport authority for access and vehicle operation on their premises.

A Day In The Life of a Maintenance Manager

The position you are applying for plans, coordinates, and directs aircraft maintenance at a line station to produce cost-effective, reliable maintenance operations in compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations. You will also ensure the facility is maintained in compliance with company and OSHA regulations.

Essential Duties of The Maintenance Manager

  • Manages mechanics in overall maintenance operation in compliance with 14 CFR, manufacturers' specifications, the GMM, Company policy and procedures, and other methods accepted by the FAA and OSHA.
  • Assists in and/or develops effective schedules to meet the operation's demands. Utilizes manpower and schedules to complete maintenance effectively.
  • Keeps informed of the status of work-in-progress and prioritizes work.
  • Ensures proper staffing levels are maintained.
  • Develops innovative solutions to make aircraft maintenance processes more efficient and effective.
  • Ensures that the maintenance base has adequate materials, calibrated tooling, and equipment to accomplish maintenance effectively.
  • Maintains the maintenance base in good working condition.
  • Evaluates Continuous Analysis and Surveillance System process to ensure best maintenance practices are used.
  • Ensures that detailed accident or damage reports are completed when incidents occur and makes recommendations to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Recommends changes to GMM to eliminate conflicts and/or enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Supports other locations’ maintenance base operations by taking into account Company-wide interests.
  • Ensure OSHA/safety guidelines are followed.
  • Ensures safety training of all mechanics.
  • Manages timely and accurate information on aircraft status, including accurate communication with Maintenance Control.
  • Coordinates with human resources for questions/issues with leaves of absence, compensation, benefits EAP, etc.
  • Oversees vendors (building maintenance, uniform, janitorial, etc.) to ensure that all work and services are provided in a timely manner.
  • Fosters the Company’s core values and culture throughout the work environment.
  • Screens, interviews, and makes recommendations for hiring potential employees.
  • Coaches and provides leadership, direction, motivation, and supervision of direct reports.
  • Appraises performance, provides performance feedback, takes corrective actions, and oversees the training and development of staff.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned or required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Education And/Or Experience.

  • High school diploma or equivalent with an FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
  • 6 years of A&P experience on similar aircraft, with at least two of those years in a supervisory or lead position.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

Preferred Education And/Or Experience

  • An Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, management, aircraft maintenance, or related field.
  • RII and Run and Taxi qualifications on applicable aircraft.

Other Requirements

  • Possess a stable employment history.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
  • Able to work both in a team setting and individually.
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a stressful environment.
  • Must be able to communicate in a practical, calm, and professional manner at all times.

  • Able to pass an FAA-required 10-year work history review and pass criminal background and fingerprint checks.
