About the Job
We are seeking a hands-on and driven Electrical Engineering Technician to join our interdisciplinary team in building and deploying electrical reservoir stimulation equipment in both laboratory and field environments. This role will support the R&D team in the fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of electromechanical systems, including high-voltage devices and low-voltage control systems. The ideal candidate will be deeply involved in installation, troubleshooting, and operation of our systems, and will travel to work sites across the U.S. and abroad to ensure successful setup and field execution.
Tasks:
- Assist in day-to-day assembly and repair of field and lab equipment
- Provide hands-on support for equipment installation, setup, and operation during field deployments
- Execute preventive maintenance on electro-mechanical assemblies and troubleshoot issues on-site and in the lab
- Document repair and maintenance activities accurately and thoroughly
- Identify inefficiencies and provide root-cause analysis and solutions to the design team
- Ensure equipment is operating safely and reliably under rigorous field conditions
Minimum qualifications:
- Electrical Engineering Technician Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and assembling equipment

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will help build and test critical hardware products for Kodiak autonomous trucks. - Minimum 3 years experience as an engineering technician working in a prototype/ engineering development lab environment.
- Ability to read and understand complex PCBA schematics, cable assembly drawings, and test procedures, without the need to have detailed assembly instructions.
- Some experience with building and troubleshooting prototype electro-mechanical hardware, such as PCBAs, cables and wiring harnesses, and electro-mechanical assemblies (drones, vehicles, or eq.).
- Familiar and comfortable with standard electrical prototyping processes, such as PCBA rework
- Extensive prototyping experience: Soldering, crimping, assembling cables to IPC Standards.
- Knowledge of electrical components & connectors, familiar with basic hand tools and crimping equipment.
- Basic electrical understanding and understanding of fundamental electrical engineering concepts.
- Familiarity with basic electrical test equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, function generators, etc.
- U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
- Associate level degree in electronics/electrical assembly or equivalent
- Strong understanding of PCBs, PCBAs, prototyping and assembly techniques
- Experience with task management software such as Trello or JIRA.
- Experience with electrical CAD tools such as Altium, Rapid Harness or other EWIS software
- Able to hand solder PCBAs per J-STD / IPC-A-610 / IPC 7711.
- Wire harness experience in accordance with IPC-A-620 standards.
- Willing to work overtime, and weekends, as needed.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Unassisted.

**We are looking for an Electrical Engineering Technician. This position will be based in Pomona, CA.**
**Position overview**
Siemens Industry is looking for an Electrical Test Engineer for their Pomona, CA manufacturing facility. This person will perform electrical testing on power distribution products of 600V or less. This position is essential for maintaining quality of highly custom and complex products. In this role you will be able to work a flexible afternoon schedule. The hours will be 5am to 1:30 after we do an initial training period on an 8am-4:30pm schedule.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Test and Inspect Low Voltage Switchboards and Panel boards to applicable standards
+ Use multi meter and electrical theory to verify power readings and circuit build to ensure accurate wiring and operation.
+ Use Hipot, test cart, hand tools and various other tools to aid in testing.
+ Use specialized software for testing/inspecting when required (i.e. Siemens WinPM, PowerConfig, Step 7, MicroWin, WinCC Flexible,SAP, etc).
+ Perform inspections/audits of electromechanical assemblies
+ Maintain and input records or reports related to testing/inspecting activities
+ Assist in training other specialists and employees as the need arises.
+ Participate in best practice sharing with other facilities.
+ Maintain and improve test procedures and documentation.

**Basic Qualifications:**
+ 2 year technical degree or equivalent experience
+ Experience in the engineering or testing of power distribution equipment
+ Knowledge of power distribution components is required (Breakers, relays, communication devices)

+ Strong work ethic with a focus on exceeding customer expectations
