**Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
The Electrical Maintenance Technician (Controls & Troubleshooting) is a hands-on role responsible for keeping facility systems and production equipment safe, reliable, and available. The technician will diagnose and repair electrical/control issues, perform preventive maintenance, update documentation in the CMMS, and drive improvements that reduce downtime and improve quality and safety.
**Responsibilities**
+ Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and job safety assessments.
+ Support safety investigations and contribute to a safe work environment.
+ Diagnose faults on PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, safety relays, sensors, and control panels using schematics, ladder logic, and test instruments.
+ Identify root causes and implement permanent fixes.
+ Install, commission, and repair production and facility equipment such as pumps, ovens/furnaces, CNCs, air compressors, HVAC, and scrubbers.
+ Replace and terminate motors, drives, contactors, sensors, and cabling up to 480V 3-phase.
+ Use structured problem solving (5-Why, Fishbone) to prevent recurrence of issues.
+ Recommend design or component upgrades, such as adding surge protection and improving panel ventilation.
+ Execute preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical/control systems.
+ Accurately record work, time, parts, and failure codes in the CMMS.
+ Identify critical spares, verify specifications, and coordinate with the storeroom.
+ Coordinate with operators, engineers, vendors, and other technicians to plan repairs and minimize downtime.
+ Support unplanned events and critical operations; participate in on-call rotation and occasional off-shift/weekend work as needed.
+ Work to NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and internal standards; support audits and corrective actions.

As an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician, the primary duties include providing safe and timely electrical and mechanical support. Including but not limited to preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting and resolution for multiple operating machines within a corrugated manufacturing environment.
How you will impact WestRock:
* Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain mechanical equipment including but not limited to: VFDs, Servo Motors, pumps, pump & motor alignment, hydraulic, pneumatic, and all other electrical/mechanical systems.
* Completes preventative maintenance of scheduled machinery
* Provide resolution to mechanical and electrical problems of machinery.
* Performs Lockout/Tagout per procedure for various operations and maintenance personnel.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* Ability to work weekends and other OT as required.
What you need to succeed:
* This is a multi-craft position and as such candidate must have general industrial maintenance experience with an emphasis on electrical components.
* Operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes motors, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial/electronic controls, and power transmission systems.
* Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
* Must be able to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings.
* Able to read schematics and ladder logic
* Electrical knowledge
* Welding proficiency is a plus
* Knowledge of OSHA Safety Standards and Regulations
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
* Must provide own tools and toolbox
* Prior Corrugator / Converting equipment experience strongly desired
* Able to react and troubleshoot quickly in a very fast paced environment

The starting pay for this position is $36.06 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location. **What you'll do:**
**Eaton's** **Critical Power and Digital Infrastructure Division is currently seeking a Maintenance Electrical Technician to join our team. This position is based at our Worcester, MA facility.**
Install, inspect, test, dismantle, repair and maintain a large variety of equipment related to industrial production and building facilities as well as repair and maintain electrical and electronic equipment. Diagnose electrical and electronic equipment or installations by using prints, tracing and testing circuits for failure. Design control systems including the addition to and/or the deletion of existing control systems. Perform all work in accordance with electrical codes and sound electrical practices. Plan procedures, repairs and maintain various types of industrial and building equipment including heavy and special purpose machines, steam, water, air, and carpentry, cement and related operations involved in repairing and modifying buildings and maintaining grounds. Observe, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical devises in operation to determine the extent of repairs necessary; requisition or make parts, assemble, test and calibrate. Determine the extent of repairs necessary, estimate labor time required, requisition or make-up repair parts, assemble, test and adjust. Make periodic inspections of equipment and facilities to provide proper maintenance and recommend preventative measures to keep facilities in suitable condition for efficient operation. Ensure compliance to Worcester Plant Quality standards and makes necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals

**Qualifications:**

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Experience with CNC machinery and programmable controllers (Allen Bradley preferred).

+ Familiar with arc flash procedures.
**Skills:**
+ Working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.

Technical Requirements:
o Coordinate and execute repairs on all indoor and outdoor electrical systems.

o Special Skills:

Emergency Generator Inspection and Test
o Perform test and inspection of all emergency generators.
o Maintain and update emergency generator logbook.
Fire Alarm System Inspection and Test
o Perform quarterly test and inspection of all fire alarm panels with outsourced vendor.
o Supervise and coordinate the work of the fire alarm test and repair contractors.
Uninterruptible Power Systems
o Monitor and record input and output amps, frequency A/C and D/C voltage readings on a daily basis.
o Visual inspection of area.
o Monitor temperature and humidity of room.
o Report any changes.
