SAIC is currently hiring for an Electrical Engineer in Lakehurst NJ.
**This position is ONSITE in Lakehurst NJ.**
**Job Duties:**
· Provides professional electrical engineering technical support to the full scope of assigned projects in naval or maritime applications, including field or on-site engineering services.
· Performs feasibility analyses and design/development, prototyping, testing, and evaluation of new components and engineering changes.
· Develops and reviews plans, specifications, and estimates to identify and resolve technical issues.
· Interprets data and performs studies and investigations to propose new or improved system designs, design criteria, and installation, operational, and maintenance practices.
+ Has familiarity with and follows the Systems Engineering process to clearly identify program/project risks and technical barriers.
+ Takes direction and tasking from supervisor and senor engineering team leads, provides status, and accomplishes work assignments meeting quality and schedule expectations.
+ Performs and documents troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions in support of test site activities and efforts to commission, certify, deliver, and sustain Ford Class aircraft carriers.
**Qualifications**
**Required Education and Experience:**
+ Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics engineering (BSEE) and five (5) years of experience.
+ BSEE and eight (8) years experience -OR- MSEE and five (5) years of experience.
+ Possesses experience in design and development of new components and engineering changes, by leveraging systems engineering processes to reduce risk.
+ Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders of varying technical knowledge and viewpoints.
+ Has technical experience with low-power systems, complex programmable logic devices (CPLD), programmable logic controllers (PLC), computers, and human interfaces.
+ Has been successful in the execution of technical projects within and electro-mechanical system.
· Preferred - Has technical experience with high-power systems up to 13.8kVA.
+ Familiarity with the Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process a plus.
**Required Security Clearance:**
· Must have an active secret clearance on first day of employment.

Asplundh Electrical Testing (AET) is seeking highly skilled and motivated Relay Technicians, Sr. Relay Technicians, and Field Engineers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical and engineering support during fieldwork, as well as preparing internal and client reports.
Responsibilities:

Install, adjust, and troubleshoot relays with technical capabilities

Support the sales effort by assisting with labor estimates and job walks
-
Remain up-to-date with all safety and technical training; attend company sponsored safety training when required

Collect field data and perform arc flash studies, coordination studies, and short circuit analysis

Provide technical insight concerning substation systems and electrical power systems
-
Adhere to all company, industry, and client safety protocols and standards ensuring our " Safety First " priority

Install, troubleshoot, commission, test, and maintain protective relaying equipment

Calibrate and perform functional tests on microprocessor-based protective relays for high-voltage substations

Conduct end-to-end relay testing using Doble ProTest software or Protection Suite
Minimum Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older

Professional skills in protective relay logic, protection schemes, write-ups, and documentation of test plans related to full commissioning substations

Knowledge of Doble ProTest or Protection Suite

Excellent written and verbal communication skills together with a proven commitment to safety and customer service

NETA certification is strongly encouraged
Education & Experience:

Minimum of 6+ years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing protective relays in high-voltage substations

Experience installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and similar equipment

Two-year degree or technical school graduate; or relative field experience
