We are seeking a licensed Electrical Engineer (PE) with strong design expertise and project management experience to lead federal infrastructure, water/wastewater and industrial projects. This role blends hands-on engineering with leadership responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who thrives in both technical and client-facing environments.

As a Senior Professional Electrical Engineer, you will:
Lead the design of medium and low voltage distribution systems, including substations, switchgear, and standby generation systems
Perform electrical calculations and power system analyses using SKM Power Tools, ETAP or similar software
Design lighting, controls, and similar low-voltage systems
Develop electrical plans and specifications for complex projects (e.g., federal, water/wastewater, industrial, transportation)
Conduct site investigations and coordinate with clients, utilities, and code officials
Review shop drawings and support construction services
Prepare cost estimates using RS Means or similar tools
Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 820, and other relevant codes and standards
Supervise and mentor junior staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Define project scope, schedules, budgets, and objectives using lessons learned
Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies
Manage client billing, subcontractor/vendor payments, and ensure profitability
Develop and implement project resource plans, including staffing and procurement

Summary:
- The individual(s) will be responsible for leading technical assignments to support production, design, test and other engineering activities. Supporting the production line, Testing equipment(setup, support and improvement) for MRO(Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) product; encompassing aircraft power generation and power distribution components.
Job Location: Sarasota, FL.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Advise, direct, and train MRO engineers and personnel in repair and test techniques/methods on behalf of the repair station per Title 14 CFR Parts 21, 43, 121 and 145.
- Review maintenance manuals and related documents to establish repair capabilities per the applicable product standard, FAA or EASA regulation and the established technical evaluation procedures.
- Develop or guide in the development of procedures for repair and testing. Documentation to be used by Operations personnel.
- Work closely with Operations and Quality to ensure repair and testing processes are performed in accordance with Safran Quality documents and return to service criteria.
- Design, modify, and prototype tooling required for use in the maintenance and repair of aircraft electromechanical and hydraulic products.
- Specify, develop and modification of test equipment for use on various aircraft components.
- Continuously improve production efficiency and quality to meet key metrics.
- Draft and assist in creating major repairs with DER and PMA submittals.
- Communicate technical data issues to the design authority and ensure updates are completed.
- Work seamlessly with offsite engineering team for support and approval when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Mentor interns and new engineers in all aspects of this position.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required.
- Must be willing to work overtime as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or a related Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment working as an engineer in a regulated industry.
- Experience and hands-on capability with troubleshooting and solving technical problems related to manufacturing and assembly defects
- Self-starter, drive for excellence and good organizational skills
- Experience with basic tooling including measuring equipment, drawing interpretation and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD package

Design reliable, functional, and cost-effective electrical systems. Provide product definition through bills of material and appropriate documentation for new and revised electrical system designs.
