  • Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit (both Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT) and rigid, and wiremold). Measures, cuts, and installs wires into conduit and makes proper connections at junction boxes and equipment.
  • Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads and twisting wires together, and applies tape or terminal caps.
  • Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment. Installs or replaces control and distribution apparatus such as switches and circuit-breaker panels.
  • Connects power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor, and installs grounding leads.

SUMMARY : Plans layout, installs, troubleshooting and repair, wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONIBILITES include but not limited to the following:

  • Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
  • Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment or follows diagrams or blueprints.
  • Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit.
  • Pulls wiring through conduit.
  • Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps.
  • Connects wiring to lighting fixtures, power equipment, and machinery.
  • Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
  • Connects power cables to equipment.
  • Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments.
  • Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, and replacement.
  • Repairs faulty equipment or systems.
  • Discusses layouts, assembly procedures, problems with Supervision, Engineering and can draw sketches to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic or electrical circuitry.
  • Checks functioning of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are a representative of the minimum acceptable job qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :

  • Two-year degree in Electrical Technology or related field or Journeyman Electrical License and a minimum of two years of industrial field experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of direct work experience in an industrial setup will substitute for the above requirement.
  • Interpret documents such as Schematics, Wiring, Ladder diagrams, Operating and Maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Experience working with electronics and solid-state devices such drives
  • Numerical Control or CNC experience is desired but not a requirement.

LANGUAGE SKILLS :

  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules and manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively to other employees and vendors.

MATHMATICAL SKILLS :

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts and fundamentals of plane, solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY :

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

  • Ability to operate a fork truck and aerial lift.
  • Ability to work with computers and specific software.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $28 to $35 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented **Utility Electrician Support** professional to assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will support senior technicians and engineers, troubleshoot electrical issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Assist in the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and components.
