This position will support our Trachte facility in Oregon, WI. As a part of nVent, Trachte is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered metal buildings for industrial and commercial applications. Today, nVent connects and protects our customers with inventive electrical solutions. We design, manufacture, market, install and service high performance products and solutions for mission-critical equipment, buildings and essential processes. Offering both prefabricated and on-site building capabilities, framed and frameless building construction types, and products ranging from build kits and modular units to fully engineered integrated buildings.
- The primary responsibilities of the electrician will be to install wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus and control equipment by performing the following duties:
- Apply knowledge of all types of electrical conduit so as to measure, cut, bend, tread, assemble and install.
- Familiarity with 120/240 single phase, 120/240V delta 3 phase, 120/208V 3 phase, and 277/480V 3 phase systems
- Splice wires and/or terminate wires to lighting, power and control equipment.
- Connect power cables to equipment.
- Possess a working knowledge of the NEC.
- Working knowledge of switchgear integration is helpful.
- Indoor work
- Drive to the same location everyday (Oregon, WI)
- Year-round work Journeyman or Master Electrician license required.
- Commercial/Industrial Experience preferred, but not required.
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
- 6am -6:30pm Friday/Saturday/Sunday. Work 36 hours, get paid for 40!

Perform entry level tasks involved in electrical maintenance, repair and renovations of campus buildings, systems, and equipment to include, but not limited to, distribution systems, motors, relays, starters and transformers. This position is considered to be essential during emergency situations and the incumbent is subject to being requested to report to work.
Supervison:
This position reports to the Supervisor of Mechanics (Electrical) and will receive day-to day direction and guidance from the Assistant Supervisor of Mechanics (Electrical). This position may require additional guidance from various Master Technicians and/or Master Mechanics as appropriate. This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform duties and responsibilities congruent with departmental goals, energy conservation and in support of institutional goals.
- Complete all work to established standards or required specifications.
- Isolate defects in wiring, switches and other electrical equipment using suitable testing instruments.
- Plan, layout, install and assemble materials and fixtures as requested by the scope of work.
- Review service requests from the computerized service request system and update as needed.
- Run electrical conduit.
- Repair, maintain, alter or erect any wiring apparatus.
- Examine and test elements or electrical systems to locate obvious faults, such as blown fuses, short circuits, broken wires, loose connections etc.
- Read and follow schematics and blueprints as directed.

Qualifications:
This candidate shall have a High school diploma and a minimum of a two-year electrical degree from a vocational college or equivalent, with knowledge of commercial and residential electrical systems. Experience working with single and three phase voltages and regulatory codes. Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, the ability to lift and carry 80 lbs., experience and ability to operate a variety of power/hand tools and testing devices, a valid Driver's License and adherence to the requirements of the Office of Risk Management.
Work Environment:
Most of the work of the incumbent is carried out within a generally accessible, safe, indoor/outdoor environment. The incumbent must be able to operate power/hand tools used in day-to-day operation of duties. The incumbent may be required to use scaffolding, lifts, climb ladders, and stand for long periods of time while using power/hand tools and equipment.
This position is 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

This field office is a designated 24/7 emergency essential facility. Therefore, the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during adverse weather conditions will be required.
Estimated Pay Range:
Electrician: $50,233.92 - $9,070.88
Senior Electrician: 55,256.40 - 75,978.12
Lead Electrician: 60,782.49 - 83,575.93

- Ability to install, bend and maintain various types of conduit and wiring systems.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Accomplishes work in accordance with blueprints and specifications, and national and local codes. Updates as-built drawings as necessary, according to department policies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
