Job Summary
The Retail EDI Transformation Program Manager plays a vital role in supporting the transformation of core retail systems that manage product, vendor, and customer data. This role supports the execution of enterprise-wide initiatives to modernize Master Data Management (MDM) and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) capabilities, ensuring seamless data flow between merchandising, supply chain, eCommerce, and vendor partners.
This individual works closely with internal business units, IT, and external vendors to enable more accurate, consistent, and automated data across the retail ecosystem — improving time-to-market, inventory accuracy, and vendor collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transformation Program Support | Coordinate and support MDM and EDI workstreams focused on improving data accuracy, speed, and automation across merchandising, supply chain, and digital commerce.
- Retail Data Governance | Assist in implementing data governance policies for core retail data domains — including product hierarchy, item attributes, vendor onboarding, pricing, and promotions.
- Vendor Integration | Partner with buying, planning, and supply chain teams to streamline vendor onboarding and support seamless EDI integration for PO, invoice, ASN, and inventory feeds.
- Project & Milestone Management | Maintain transformation project timelines, task assignments, and key deliverables. Track dependencies and coordinate efforts across cross-functional teams and external solution partners.
- Testing & Quality Assurance | Organize and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) for MDM platforms and EDI transactions. Coordinate data validation and triage data quality issues with IT.
- Communication & Change Management | Drive regular status updates, communication plans, and training materials to support organizational readiness and adoption across stores, warehouses, and HQ teams.
- Technology & Tools | Support the deployment and enhancement of MDM and EDI solutions integrated with ERP, PIM, and OMS systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in retail operations, merchandising systems, or enterprise transformation projects
- Familiarity with retail data domains: SKU/item setup, vendor master, store data, and pricing
- Experience with EDI standards (e.g., 850, 810, 856) and vendor onboarding processes
- Strong project coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in project tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence) and data platforms
Preferred Skills:
- Retail systems experience (e.g., ERP, PIM, MDM platforms)
- PMP, Agile, or related project management certification
- Knowledge of omnichannel retail operations and digital fulfillment
- Experience working with third-party solution providers for MDM or EDI

The Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Analyst will be responsible for managing Penumbra's EDI system and transactions. It is a critical position to ensure the success of EDI usage and will be the primary point of contact between Penumbra and customers to resolve EDI issues.

Annual Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000
