The R&D Department is seeking a candidate to aid in the support of all product development from concept through production. Looking for individuals who are performance-driven and dedicated to meeting the needs of the business, take pride in their work, and are team players who are enthusiastic and passionate about their jobs.

Essential Functions

  1. Support Engineers in all hands-on product prototyping construction, testing, compliance samples and documentation.
  2. Focus on safely prototyping, assembling, and testing electronic assemblies.
  3. Confirm system and circuit assembly performance by conducting tests and recording results.
  4. Document tests through reports, charts and graphs using Microsoft Office products.
  5. Provide support for Mfg. pilot production runs of new products.
  6. Interface with QC, purchasing and suppliers for existing and new components.
  7. Read schematics, PCB layout, component datasheets, detailed instructions, drawings, bill of materials, and specifications for product fabrication.
  8. Work with lab equipment such as but not limited to soldering irons, power supplies, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, hand tools, etc.
  9. Maintain an organized laboratory.
  10. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
  1. Hands-on PCB assembly, soldering, prototype construction and testing.
  2. Troubleshooting electronic components, printed circuit assemblies, and hardware.
  3. Ability to work on many projects at various points of the product development cycle.
  4. Computer literacy in windows-based systems and Microsoft Excel/Word.
Required Qualifications
  1. Associates/Technical Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent in related experience, or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  2. A minimum of three years' experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Working experience using schematic capture and PCB design software (Ex: Altium).
  2. Experience in electrical/mechanical product test setup.
  3. Working knowledge of analog/digital circuit principles and embedded microprocessor controls.
  4. Working knowledge of power supply principles and circuits.

Work Environment/Physical Demands/Travel

This job operates in a warehouse/manufacturing setting where various tools and equipment are used. This role must be able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel and exhibit good visual acuity to perform daily tasks. All necessary personal protective equipment will be required.

This is a full-time position. The hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. An occasional shift in hours may be necessary to accommodate project schedules.

Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is currently looking for a first-level manager responsible for leading a team of engineers and technical staff performing engineering activities in the areas of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects design, including EMI/EMC, TEMPEST/EMSEC, Lightning, HERO, and EMRADHAZ analysis and testing. The manager will develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals to ensure compliance with Boeing and Military E3 requirements.

This role requires providing technical management of suppliers, leading process improvements, and maintaining strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports. The manager will oversee technical approaches, products, and processes, while managing, developing, and motivating employees to foster a high-performing and collaborative team environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the successful execution of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects activities across multiple projects and programs.

  • Develop, implement, and manage viable schedules, project execution plans, and resource plans in accordance with Boeing Program Management Best Practices.

  • Provide technical guidance and foster collaboration on technical approaches and processes within the team and with external partners.

  • Acquire and manage resources for projects and processes

  • Implement policies and procedures, establish team goals, and monitor key performance indicators.

  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of technical data and deliverables.

  • Partner with senior E3 management to balance personnel with program needs and budgets, and create long-term staffing forecasts.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.

  • Manage, develop, and motivate engineers at all levels, conducting regular one-on-one meetings to support career growth and knowledge transfer.

  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes, including technical management of suppliers.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship . An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry from an accredited institution.

  • 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams and/or projects.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • 5 or more years of experience leading teams or projects in Electromagnetic Environmental Effects.

  • Experience with Electromagnetic Environmental Effects subjects including TEMPEST, HEMP, HERO, HERF, HERP, shielding, cable construction.

  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-704, and DO-160 standards.

  • Avionics, aircraft, or weapons systems experience in requirements decomposition, integration, and testing.

  • Strong program management experience.

  • Proven leadership skills in mentoring, coaching, and developing engineering talent.

  • Active Secret clearance
