This includes driving solutions, installations, data collection, vending machine diagnostics, maintenance and training. This position is expected to focus on advanced solution selling and implementation tasks. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: * Collaborates with all MSC Sales Teams tenable explosive sales growth through Solutions * Maintains a thorough knowledge of all MSC solutions which include but not limited to: bar coded solutions such as CMI and VMI, Vending, Crib Software, etc. * Follows all required Salesforce protocols for project and time management * Drives proficiencies in the following areas: * Solutions discovery including data collection * Solutions recommendations * Installations * Break Fix (onsite service) * Post Install Support * Supply Chain Optimization * Fiscal responsibility * Cancellation support * Adheres to service level agreements to consistently deliver best-in-class results * Proficient knowledge with the tools, technology and related PPE is essential for success * Provides feedback to management for continuous process improvement * Represents MSC Solutions at branch meetings and foster partnerships with sales associates * Supports designated team goals and objectives * Follows all MSC policies and procedures documented in the associate handbook * Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required * Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC?s mission EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: * Associate's Degree or the equivalent relevant experience is required * Minimum two (2) years supporting value-added customer solutions / inventory management programs is preferred * Experience troubleshooting hardware and/or software preferred * Knowledge of MSC-like product lines/services & MSC related experience is required * Minimum of two (2) years of general sales experience is preferred SKILLS: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills required * Excellent interpersonal skills required * Organizational & time management skills required * Excellent Electro/Mechanical skills required * Problem solving, and situational adaptability skills required * Computer literacy & proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet & presentation software required OTHER REQUIREMENTS: * A valid driver's license & the ability to travel 75% including overnight is required * Must possess basic knowledge and use of hand and power tools * Able to perform physical activities such as lifting approximately 50 lbs. * Ability to work in various types of industrial environments * Must adhere to customer specific requirements such as wearing hardhats, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, etc. Compensation starting at $50,000-60,000 depending on experience. About the Inventory Management Team You will be part of the Inventory Planning organization that is responsible for the strategic planning of inventory positions to drive sales, manage inventory turn and meet or exceed financial targets for your area of responsibility. You will collaborate with other business functions to support a product strategy intended to meet our customer's needs. Overview of the Director, Inventory Management role Develop and execute concept financial and merchandising plans. Execute inventory strategies to maximize sales, profits and to protect the brand. Travel to stores and DC to identify opportunities; improve processes and resolve issues. Manage the career development of inventory management team. Develop specific measurable goals and objectives for team. Demonstrates leadership ability to insure consistent priorities are achieved for the brand. Responsibilities * Communicate inventory position, budget (OTB), financial re-forecast to senior management. * Demonstrate leadership to workforce and communicate overall strategy and financial goals across all functions at the organization. * Identify business opportunities and implement appropriate action to maximize financial objectives. * Principal contact with distribution center to insure appropriate flow of information. * Active leader in recruiting, hiring and development of staff to maximize retention. * Review current business and take appropriate action to maximize inventory productivity (daily, weekly, monthly). * Develop annual financial plans for presentation and approval by executive committee. * Review and forecast sales, expenses and cost of goods and take appropriate action. * Provide forecasts and sales, inventory and margins for concept department and/or item for organization (management, finance, merchants, etc.). * Develop and submit monthly daily sales to finance. * Responsible for purchasing and distribution strategies to support concept goals. * Review business and strategy with executive merchandising staff. Identify trends, opportunities and actions necessary to maximize objectives. * Review floor set with merchandising and visual teams to insure successful execution. * Manage inventory flow to insure appropriate in-stock rates are achieved for floor set and catalog drops. * Maximize inventory opportunities and minimize liabilities for the brand by partnering with mail order and internet channels of distribution. Criteria * 10+ years retail experience. * 5+ years people management experience. * 5+ years inventory planning and distribution experience. * Experience with MS Access/SQL, Lawson, Essbase and A3 is a plus * Strong consulting, problem-solving, and conceptual skills, along with interpersonal skills necessary to work with various levels of management * Ability to perform work onsite in the (San Francisco, Rocklin, Portland, New York, San Jose) office full-time pending state, local, and Company return-to-work guidance during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. **What you'll do**
+ Review and approve material purchase orders
+ Work with vendors to resolve invoice and order discrepancies
+ Assist with monthly inventory and reporting
+ Participate in the hiring and training of field warehouse technicians
+ Assist with the initial warehouse setup when new locations open
+ Build relationships with the operations teams and assist with their material needs
+ Ensure compliance with established procedures
+ Plans, develops, and implements warehouse safety and security programs and activities
+ Manages the activities of inventory personnel and yard workers on an ongoing basis
+ Identifies, defines and monitors performance-related KPI metrics and holds department personnel accountable to achieving departmental standards
+ Other duties as assigned
**What you'll need**
+ To be 18 years of age or older
+ Authorization to work in the United States for this company
+ 3-5 years progressive warehouse experience
+ Strong communication skills
+ Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
+ Self motivated, ability to multitask and prioritize work load
+ Ability to meet established deadlines
+ Business Management or Degree preferred. Previous management experience. Minimum 5 years or a combination of both
+ Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
+ Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
+ Ability to apply project management concepts, and methodologies
+ Proven leadership in a cross functional team environment
+ General understanding of Business Financial and/or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
+ Ability to safely operate forklift, telehandler and skid steer equipment
+ Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum guidance

**What you'll do**
+ All phases of underground construction include but are not limited to: Loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment
+ Assists the Inventory Specialist with staging materials for specific jobs
+ Assists the Inventory Specialist with maintaining location's inventory, reconciling physical inventory and offloading/loading trucks
+ Tracks, receives and verifies new material shipments and coordinates handling and storage as it arrives

+ Maintains a clean and orderly shop and yard area

+ Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures and policies

**What you'll need**
+ To be 18 years of age or older

+ Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
+ Ability to write simple correspondence

**What you'll do**
+ Maintain responsibility for the material purchasing process including issuing POs, determining appropriate timing of material orders (ensuring best price) and purchase tracking (ensuring in-time delivery)
+ Maintain organization of inventory and yard at assigned facilities
+ Order and coordinate project supplies to arrive on time and at the correct location
+ Receive new material shipments and verify order content and completeness
+ Physically or mechanically handle and store new material shipments
+ Develop and create reporting for Min/Max levels, material demand, forecast and budget purposes
+ Manage inventory for specific jobs by staging materials from each job's pick list
+ Communicate inventory needs to the Supply Chain Manager
+ Aid in holding employees and subcontractors accountable to appropriate documentation of inventory as it is taken and returned to designated yards/warehouses
+ Maintain location(s) inventory list by allocating inventory to individual jobs and tracking inventory changes using a scanner, computer and/or inventory system software
+ Coordinate and/or conduct physical inventory reconciliations and follow-up on inventory discrepancies
+ Act as the primary lead at the site for all customer material requests and check outs
+ Deliver material to other locations or job sites as needed
+ Participate in and adheres to all Company Safety requirements
+ Other duties as assigned
**What you'll need**
+ Minimum of 6 months prior related inventory maintenance experience
+ Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions, correspondence and memos
+ Effective and respectful written and verbal communication
+ Problem solver and logical thinker
+ Ability to control essential job functions in a fast paced environment that interacts with both internal and external work crews and customers
+ Team oriented, keeping the organizational needs at the forefront of mind
+ Proficient use of Internet software and databases
+ Familiarity with Inventory tracking systems and hardware
+ Familiarity with Google-based applications such as G-mail, Google docs and sheets is helpful
+ Understanding and use of general arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, units of measure and weight using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
+ Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
+ Ability to acquire and maintain a DOT health card
+ Forklift certified or willingness to be certified within the first 60 days of employment
+ Valid driver's license with favorable driving record is required - Class A or B licensure preferred
**Physical Requirements:**
