The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

**What Is the Opportunity?**
Travelers is looking for a self-motivated engineer needed to join a small, highly skilled team of technologists and leverage the latest emerging technologies to solve real-world business problems. You will leverage your ability to design, build and deploy data solutions that capture, explore, transform, and utilize data to support Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and business intelligence/insights. **What Will You Do?**
+ Build and operationalize data solutions, correct problems, apply transformations, and recommend data cleansing/quality solutions.
+ Participate in the design of data solutions.

As an **Emerging Technology Product Manager,** you will be defining and driving the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of cloud-based AI/ML platforms and services that enable innovation across the financial organization. • Support and actively participate in ‘review and challenge’ activities by:
o Analyzing risk artifacts (including risk assessment forms, remediation plans, project documentation, etc.) to identify gaps or emerging issues
o Verifying that remediation actions for identified gaps are appropriate, timely, and tracked to closure
o Developing actionable feedback / recommendations to strengthen overall risk posture

As a Technology Risk Management intern working to support risk outcomes associated with emerging technologies, you will come out of this experience with first-hand experience identifying and assessing risks related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) based systems within the Financial Services industry.
You will gain direct knowledge of risk analysis, control evaluation and testing, policy development, risk reporting, and other associated aspects of risk governance. You can expect exposure to senior risk personnel, business managers, Information Technology teams, and several other disciplines. You’ll learn to support risk management activities to ensure that technology solutions and systems operate within the organization’s risk appetite, while helping to refine processes that manage the company's exposure to technology risk coupled.
Responsibilities of the Technology Risk Management internship role may include but are not limited to:
• Support periodic reviews of technology policies, standards, and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and leading industry practices
• Support and actively participate in ‘review and challenge’ activities by:
o Analyzing risk artifacts (including risk assessment forms, remediation plans, project documentation, etc.) to identify gaps or emerging issues
o Verifying that remediation actions for identified gaps are appropriate, timely, and tracked to closure
o Developing actionable feedback / recommendations to strengthen overall risk posture
• Execute ad-hoc reporting and develop materials that translate disparate risk information / insights into decision ready briefs, enabling senior and executive management to monitor Santander’s technology risk posture and prioritize strategic actions
• Stay abreast of emerging AI-based technologies, workflows, architectures, threat vectors, and evolving regulatory guidance
What we are looking for
• An undergraduate student with an expected graduation date between either December 2026 or May/June 2027.
• Area of Study: Information Technology, Business, Finance or related field
• Cumulative GPA is 3.0 or above.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Product Suite
• Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and courage.
• Strong English communication skills both written and spoken required.
• Analytical thinkers with a strong attention to detail.
• Organized and able to manage time and multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work independently on special projects.
• Ability to effectively contribute to a team environment.
It would be nice to have
• Coursework in or exposure to accounting, finance, economics, or business. (Preferred)
• Coursework in or exposure to fundamentals of machine learning / deep learning, software development lifecycle, cloud computing, and cybersecurity (Preferred)
• Foundational understanding of technology risk-awareness and risk management (Preferred)
