**The Shift:**
This is a Monday through Friday day shift position working 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position will be based at the Plaza but may travel to other locations as needed for patient appointments.

+ EMG Tech works to prepare patients for and perform nerve conduction studies NCS and prepare patients for needle electromyography EMG to be performed by a supervision physician.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interprets physician orders and schedules patients appropriately, maintaining the schedule to optimize patient care. Communicates information about the schedule following department policy.
Contacts the appropriate person for clarification/resolution when unsure of an order or scheduling conflicts arise.
Documents all pertinent patient demographic and insurance information. Properly identifies the patient according to policy 100% of the time.
Competently prepares patients for testing. Performs such task(s) in a manner appropriate for the age group of the patient.
Competently performs EEG testing as well as providing OR monitoring during carotid endarterectomies.
Responds immediately to emergency needs throughout the hospital
Communicates information and instructions regarding tests and specimen collection to clients (e.g. patients and/or family members, physicians, other healthcare providers) in a manner appropriate to and respectful of the age group of the client even under adverse conditions.
Monitors equipment function and documents information as required by department policy. Takes corrective action as needed, if required, and documents it.
Performs clerical functions to support the department's needs including, but not limited to, filing, obtaining signatures, notifying neurologists of test to be interpreted, etc.
Maintains current competency with regard to polices for chemical and biological hazards found in the workplace, universal precautions, TB and CHIP policies.
Ensures work area is neat and clean.
Monitors adequacy of supplies adhering to department policy for restocking.

**Job Summary and Qualifications**
The Neurodiagnostic Specialist is an advanced level position in the epilepsy monitoring unit and/or intensive care unit able to perform all neurodiagnostic procedures (EEG, LTM-ICU and EMU, EP) and may also perform additional responsibilities including, but not limited to WADA, PET, and Ictal SPECT. **What qualifications you will need:**
+ 3 years' experience in neurodiagnostics which includes a minimum of 2 years monitoring experience in EMU, ICU/EEG monitoring.
+ Well-developed computer skills with experience in windows and office suite.
+ Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology (NDT) Program, or an Associate's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university is desired.
+ Credential in electroencephalograpy (R. EEG T.) required.
+ Credential in long-term monitoring (CLTM) or must be board eligible.

**Role Purpose**

Qualifications

· Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately.

+ Notifies physician and or nurse immediately of life-threatening findings as in status epilepticus, prolonged burst suppression, grand mal seizures or other unsuspected findings which require physician's immediate attention.
+ Possesses knowledge and maintains a constant awareness of potential safety hazards ensuring the necessary safety precautions.
+ Knows how to call for assistance and responds to emergency situations.
+ Technologist is responsible to maintain equipment in good working order through routine adjustments and to report malfunctions to the supervisor and Bio-Med.
+ File all EEG tracings saving to disk and archiving as required.
+ Retrieves data for PI and CQI purposes and other job-related duties as requested by manager.
+ Assists in the development of policy and procedures as they relate to areas of responsibility
**Position Summary:**
EEG/EMU/Nerve Conduction Technician performs a variety of neurodiagnostic procedures on patients of all ages in outpatient and inpatient settings. This includes routine EEGs, extended EEG monitoring, EMU studies, and nerve conduction studies (NCS). The technician ensures accurate data collection while maintaining patient comfort and safety. The per diem role supports department needs on an as-needed basis and may include weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
**What you will do:**
+ Apply electrodes to a patient's scalp, connected to the EEG machine by wires
+ Monitor patients during sleep cycles to diagnose sleep disorders
+ Perform office tests and administrative duties
**What you will need:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Graduate of an AMA approved program for Electroencephalogram preferred.
+ Registered EEG Technologist (American Society of EEG) preferred.
+ Minimum one (1) year of work experience preferred in field of Nero Diagnostics.
+ Prefer experience with nerve conductions

Requirements

What You Will do in This Role:
  • Design, develop, and execute a full suite of performance, stress, and load tests , building robust automation code and integrating it into our CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Domain Expertise: Prior experience in intralogistics, supply chain, or material handling industries is a strong plus.
  • APM Tooling: Hands-on experience with Application Performance Monitoring tools like DataDog, Dynatrace, or New Relic.
  • Front-End Familiarity: A basic knowledge of HTML, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Networking Fundamentals: A foundational understanding of networking concepts to aid in diagnosing system-wide issues


Education: B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
