Education/Certification:

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field Alternatively, a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• PHR or SHRM certification preferred.

Skills:

• Minimum of two (2) years of benefits and/or compensation administration experience

• Experience with HRIS systems, particularly UltiPro and Dynafile preferred

• Fluency in Spanish and American Sign Language is highly desired

  Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1.) Benefits Administration
• • Assist in the enrollment and termination processes for employee benefits programs

• Help with the reconciliation of carrier bills and processing payments

• Provide plan ID cards and other materials to employees

• Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOP), policies, FAQs, and other documentation supporting benefit plans.

  2.) Compensation Support

• Assist in the administration of salary structures, incentive plans, and performance-based compensation programs

• Help with market analysis to ensure competitive pay practices.

  3.) Compliance and Policy Administration

• • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

• Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures

• Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting total rewards function

  4.) Communication and Coordination

• • Communicate basic total rewards options to employees and managers

• Coordinate with insurance carriers and third-party administrators for routine benefits and claims issues

  5.) Data Management and Reporting
• • Maintain and update employee records, both physical and electronic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

• Compile data and assist in developing reports for monitoring and tracking monthly and annual total rewards costs and trends

• Validate HRIS system data and maintain data integrity.

  6.) Administrative Support

• Provide administrative support as needed to the Total Rewards team, including scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, and maintaining files

• Stay up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices

• Experience in using AI to support test planning/management, analyze requirements, identify risks, and create test requirements
• Skilled in AI development frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and/or Keras
• Understanding of and experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence testing
• Interfacing with range sensors to gather data for testing
• Understanding when tests apply to specific types of autonomy testing on the range
• Ability to clearly communicate design ideas to stakeholders and collaborate effectively with development teams
• Capacity to identify user needs and design solutions to address complex problems 

• Test/use the test harness developed by the team in real AI test events
• Make recommendations to AI developers (customers) and test harness developers based on test event results
• Work with customer to understand needs; especially to prioritize elements of the workflow for different use cases and recommend feature changes to the development team and report bugs in expected vs real operation

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, scientific, or technical discipline
• International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) - AI Testing certification or similar

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $84,000 - $119,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.

The Department of Defense SkillBridge program is an exceptional opportunity for service members to develop valuable civilian work experience via industry-specific training, apprenticeships, or internships. Assist Your Members Transitioning from Active Duty with DOD SkillBridge

As an installation or unit commander with service members preparing to transition from active duty, it's essential to bridge the gap between their military and civilian careers. By allowing SkillBridge participation with reputable employers, commanders can help ease the military-to-civilian transition period for their members.

Permissive Duty for Service Members with Industry Partners

Service members can receive up to 180 days of permissive duty, with written authorization from their chain of command, to focus exclusively on training with approved industry partners. These industry partners provide practical training and valuable work experience, as well as assess the service member's potential for future employment.

Active security clearance is required.

• Currently serving as an Active Duty military service member and eligible for the SkillBridge program.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and apply military experiences to a civilian career path in the fields of Technology and Innovation, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Modeling and Simulation, and Cybersecurity 

Responsibilities during the internship will be unique to the candidate based on their experience and career goals; however, the following can be expected of each SkillBridge intern.

• Assist with daily operations and support cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to the completion of projects, including research, analysis, and reporting.
• Participate in team meetings, offering input and suggestions based on your background and expertise.
• Gain experience in specific technologies, tools, or processes relevant to the role.
• Build and enhance professional skills in areas such as communication, leadership, and problem-solving.

STEM degree is preferred but not required.

The SkillBridge program is a capstone training experience that allows service members to gain civilian work experience during the last 180 days of their service. Industry partners provide the training and work experience, while the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) continues to pay the service member's salary and benefits.
