Duties
Support DHS Headquarters' Human Resources Management Services (HRMS) division with administrative tasks and/or processing within the retirement and benefits unit. Administrative tasks includes, records management, updating/monitoring various tracking systems, reporting, and responding to general customer inquiries. Processing includes FEHB, FEGLI Benefits enrollments, military service deposits and retirement applications.

Qualifications required:
- Knowledge of policies and procedures under tile 5 of the CFR.
- Experience administering employee benefits programs providing advisory, counseling and or processing services in the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS), Federal Employees' Retirement System (FERS), the Federal Employees' Health Program (FEHB), the Federal Employees' Group Life Insurance Program (FEGLI), the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP), Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Workman's Compensation.
- Experience with HR Systems: EOPF, FEDHR Navigator, EMPOWHR, NFC- RUMBA, NFC-SNOW, NFC-Reporting Center and ECOMP

The Veterans Affairs Transition Assistance Program (VA TAP) supports Service members and Veterans as they transition from military to civilian life. Through a structured curriculum and personalized support, VA TAP delivers education and career guidance, benefits briefings, and resources to promote post-service success.
As service members leave military service and return to life as civilians, they will need the proper tools and information necessary for a smooth transition. - Provide onsite support at military installations (both CONUS and OCONUS)
