Summary:
Reporting to the Medical Director of Employee and Occupational Health Services, develops, implements, and evaluates well-being programs for employees. Works collaboratively with Employee and Occupational Health Services team, Benefits team, department managers and healthcare workers to promote a culture of well-being at all Brown University Health affiliates. Develops and enhances Brown University Health's Total Rewards initiative with specific focus on Health and Well-being and Life and Community domains.
Responsibilities:
Consistently applies the corporate values of respect, honesty and fairness and the constant pursuit of excellence in improving the health status of the people of the region through the provision of customer-friendly, geographically accessible, and high-value services within the environment of a comprehensive integrated academic health system. Is responsible for knowing and acting in accordance with the principles of the Brown University Health Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
Participates in the development and implementation of Team Brown University Health events. Organizes Team Brown University Health Captains for approved physical activity (walk, run, cycle, swim, etc.) and volunteer events.
Functions as an expert resource in all Living Well community outreach efforts to Brown University Health department managers and healthcare workers. Identifies and coordinates employee volunteering opportunities that may contribute to a culture of well-being.
Serves as point of contact for all Team Brown University Health events and provides regular updates to Team Brown University Health members to help promote and grow initiative. Monitors Team Brown University Health email, intranet and external web information, providing engaging and impactful content. Develop communication campaigns and event with marketing to raise awareness and engagement with wellbeing resources. Collects and incorporates employee feedback through surveys and other mechanisms to guide program improvements.
Maintains accurate database of Team Brown University Health membership, participation, and impact. Assesses program/event impact and recommend enhancements to further engage employees.
Serve as liaison to community health organizations, including the American Heart Association, American Lung Association, cancer prevention organization, Save the Bay, community food bank, state and local parks, etc.
Leads the design and implementation of a comprehensive wellbeing strategy aligned with the organization's missions, values, and employee population needs. Uses data to inform program development, identify trends, measure outcomes, and continuously improve initiatives.
Partners with HR, EOHS, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Benefits, and other stakeholders to ensure programs are integrated, equitable, and meet the diverse needs of the workforce. Coordinates efforts across departments to support cultural change around wellbeing, resilience, and mental health.
Assists with on-site fitness center programming and external fitness discount offerings. Provides guidance to employees regarding available fitness benefits and actively promotes wellness and well-being programs and services.
Monitor employee discount ("perks") offerings and work with Brown University Health marketing and communications to keep employees informed of additional Life and Community benefits.
Oversight of annual Season of Giving Campaign through collaboration with all Brown University Health hospital, ambulatory, and administrative sites. Coordinates with internal department leaders to design and implement processes to facilitate employee engagement in system wide and site-specific Season of Giving initiatives. Accurately monitors and reports on all Season of Giving activity.
Maintains and enhances professional knowledge of employee health and well-being programming to support a culture of well-being.
Participates in related ongoing studies, education-related professional activities, and affiliations to maintain professional expertise.
Other information:
BASIC KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelor's degree in exercise sciences, physical sciences, nursing, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
* Three to five years related experience in employee well-being program, preferably gained in a similarly complex and diverse healthcare facility.
* Experience should demonstrate strong assessment and analytical skills, high level of written and verbal communication skills, ability to coordinate and plan events, effective interpersonal and presentation skills.
* Knowledge of variety of software applications such as word processing, spreadsheet and database is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is performed in office and patient care environments, with some lifting of up to 30 pounds required. Work requires travel to various Brown University Health sites and community events.
INDEPENDENT ACTION:
Performs independently within the department's policies and practices. Refers complex problems to the director when clarification of departmental policies and procedures are required.

The Department of Recreation & Wellbeing provides competitive and recreational opportunities for students, faculty, staff and campus affiliated community members. In addition to the 30 sports clubs, the department offers a wide range of recreational activities and state of the art equipment.
Position Summary
Involves instructional or program activities related to recreation, leisure, and fitness in an accredited environment; provides first aid and emergency care as necessary, and responds to user/customer needs. Works for Adventures Adult programs and serves as a dockhand, supporting boat rental and program customers.

Student Health Services:

Oversee, direct, coordinate, evaluate and provide strategic leadership for the promotion of comprehensive, integrated holistic wellbeing across campus, including wellbeing programs and services, based on the eight dimensions of wellness. Areas of focus include but are not limited to mental health, suicide prevention, alcohol and other drug prevention and early intervention, interpersonal violence prevention, early intervention, intervention/ and bystander intervention. Provide and oversee training and education for the campus community that is based in integrated holistic well-being and trauma informed. Develop comprehensive holistic well-being programming including: administer assessments to identify emerging issues, identify barriers that students face in regard to wellbeing and accessing services, particularly underserved and historically marginalized populations; adjust and develop appropriate initiatives to address these issues; investigate the best and most promising empirically based practices to reduce high-risk health behaviors and increase student wellbeing; oversee office budget and advocate for resources as needed, seek external funding through grant writing to support student wellbeing programs. . Supervision of staff members responsible for provision of wellbeing services and programs focused on health promotion, outreach education, prevention, and early intervention service programs in mental health, alcohol and drug prevention/early intervention and interpersonal violence prevention/early intervention. This is a leadership position with Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Services and as such provides leadership and strategic planning and visioning regarding the integration of wellbeing services, including mental health, recovery, violence response and prevention and early intervention to ensure holistic wellbeing for students based on the eight dimensions of wellness. Coordinate with integral campus partners, including but not limited to Title IX, the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities, and the Dean of Students Office. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Public Health Education, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or similar degree.
- Five years or more professional experience in a college/university setting.
- Experience in college health and wellbeing, prevention, early intervention, and promotion
- Demonstrated supervisory, administrative and program management experience
- Knowledge of student development and health behavior theories and how to incorporate into student learning outcomes and student success.
- Strong knowledge of national regulations and recommendations for college health and wellbeing such as ACHA, Title IX, NASPA, SOPHE, CAS Standards, Active Minds, and Partnership for a Healthier America.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of mental health, interpersonal violence, sexual health, AOD, sleep hygiene, healthy relationships, nutrition, violence prevention, and general wellbeing.
- Ability to facilitate non-traditional programming including an understanding of health and wellness issues for diverse populations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in delivering wellbeing programming and services.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse disciplines, colleagues and departments.

The purpose of the Senior Wellbeing Strategist is to lead a holistic approach to wellbeing across the Clayton enterprise. This should result in enhanced wellbeing of team members and their families, which contributes to the professional success of Team Members and overall benefit to the company. - Program Creation and Implementation
- Conceptualize and design relevant, customized, innovative, holistic, population-based wellbeing programs for target population
- Serve as point-person for program needs for target population
- Collaborate with other members of the wellbeing team to design and implement programs
- Facilitate group workshops, discussions, informational sessions, etc.
- Program Management: Oversees every aspect of program to ensure timelines and deadlines are made to ensure smooth delivery of program and a world class Team Member experience
- Marketing & Communication

We are seeking an Assistant Director of Student Wellbeing to join the senior leadership team. The ideal candidate will have a track record of demonstrating passion and commitment to supporting the wellbeing of a diverse student body in a university setting. The Assistant Director, Student Wellbeing, reporting to the Managing Director of Student Wellbeing, will be responsible for oversight of the Core Needs portfolio within Student Wellbeing. This includes, but is not limited to, oversight of the BU Food Pantry, including its day-to-day operations, supervision of student employees, and ensuring community awareness of resources. The Assistant Director will work with the senior leadership team to strategize and plan for the short and long term of core needs resources for our students. The Assistant Director, along with other members of the senior leadership team, will contribute to the creation and delivery of the department's programming and educational initiatives.

This position is part of the Fitness Department at the Berkeley Recreation & Wellbeing. Our mission is to promote the knowledge, wellness, fitness, and an enhanced quality of life for students and campus affiliates. Our team of professional and student instructors, trainers, and support staff educate, motivate and empower the campus community to make healthy and enduring lifestyle choices. The Fitness team directly engages with our members and are critical to the development and promotion of a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging community.
Position Summary
Provides instructional guidance and program activities related to health and fitness in an accredited environment; provides first aid and emergency care as necessary, and responds to user/customer needs.
Educates the participants on fitness and health-related topics; conducts fitness assessments and personal training sessions, maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality, designs and implements individual workout programs, demonstrates and coaches clients on the proper use of cardiovascular and strength equipment; discusses health and fitness goal setting; promotes safe technique and form when training.
Educates participants on the policies and procedures of Berkeley RedWell; acts as a liaison between other Recreational Sports programs; keeps detailed and accurate client records; provides weekly availability for clients to schedule appointments; attends all required departmental meetings and completes online training; always promotes the Department of Recreational Sports in a positive manner.
