PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver products to customers while abiding by load safety, DOT, and general safe driving guidelines as well as CK standard operating procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have a current Class B CDL, Class A Preferred.
- A HAZMAT endorsement is required (or ability to obtain).
- A Tanker Endorsement is preferred.
- Must have a good driving record exhibited by state MVR reports.
- Must have a current DOT medical card, and the ability to pass all DOT requirements.
- Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people.
- Capable of completing basic mathematical calculations and entering correct information on logs and other reports.
- Vision is correctable to within normal range for vehicle driving and completion of records.
- The ability to move or lift products and materials of varied sizes and weights up to 50lbs without assistance.
- Capable of working in diverse and often times unpleasant weather conditions.
- Ability to drive in all types of weather conditions.
- Ability to sit, bend, stoop, lift, climb and stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to operate all necessary equipment.
- Ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks, as well as with a team to ensure the success of the department.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?As the "face of Airgas", the Bulk Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting bulk liquid gases between pick up terminals and customers, both internal and external. This position safely loads, delivers, unloads and returns using a company provided truck. This position fills pressurized bulk liquid gases at the customer's location while interacting with Airgas customers and Airgas associates.
As a Bulk Driver at Airgas, you will be a part of a professional team that encourages internal mobility while offering our employees a work/life balance. In addition, Airgas operates a modern and efficient fleet. Most vehicles are under 6 years old and equipped with driver-friendly technology, such as On Board Computers, collision avoidance technology, latest camera technology and GPS navigation.
In particular you will:
Safely fills a pressurizedbulkliquid gas tanker and loads, delivers and unloads supplies to/from a service truck on an assigned route on a daily basis.
Fills customerbulktanks as assigned.
Records deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest and obtains signatures from customers for receipt purposes.
Maintains load manifests and all required vehicle documents ensuring they are properly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries.
Ensures that vehicle manifests, labels and loads comply with Department of Transportation (DOT), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and other government regulations as well as Airgas SAFECOR safety policies.
Establishes and maintains good customer relations. Works with customers to maintain proper gas levels.
Listens to and resolves service inquiries and complaints providing timely communication back to the manager as needed.
Performs inspections per operating procedures. Monitors each customer unit to assure that it is operating safely, properly, and efficiently.
Performs pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections documenting deficiencies & ensures all safety items are in good working order.
Performs routine maintenance & clean appearance of vehicle.
Assists management in route evaluations and efficiencies.
Utilizes an On Board Computer per instructions and makes every effort to ensure accuracy of data.
Uses required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Ensures all safety rules are strictly observed and promptly reports all accidents and injuries to management.
Operates a pallet jack, forklift & other warehouse equipment as needed.
Works in the warehouse or on dock as needed.

Current Medical Examiner's Card.
Three years driving experience with Class A CDL.

Position: Transport Driver
Reports to: Director of Transporation & Logistics
Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Pay Rate: $30 - $32 , plus O/T after 40 hours/week

Most drivers can get ~60 hours per week

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – include and are not limited to:

Must possess a valid CDL A driver’s license with Tank and HazMat endorsements

Provide exceptional customer satisfaction on a daily basis while interacting with customers.

Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads gasoline, oil and propane products to and from specified destinations

Comply with all company policies and procedures 100% of the time.

Complete daily and monthly paperwork requirements in order to ensure compliance with company standards and protection of its assets 100% of the time.

Constantly work in outdoor weather conditions with exposure to oil and/or propane fumes and the elements.

Follow all DOT and HazMat regulations, Mirabito safety standards and policies 100% of the time.

Ensure that Company and Government safety, policy and regulatory standards are met and maintain zero preventable incidents 100% of the time.

Maintain safety and compliance records 100% of the time.

Must be able to successfully complete a pre-functional evaluation.

Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen

Be capable of maneuvering equipment and materials in excess of 300 pounds with use of proper mechanical devices and/or additional man power.
RESPONSIBILITIES – include and are not limited to:

Deliver gasoline, oil, and propane products to customer base.

Follow route and time schedule that is provided by the Dispatcher on a daily basis.
-
Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle in accordance with company standards.
-
Provide services and interact with customers to ensure that we provide all of our customers with the best possible satisfaction.
-
Inform customers of new products and services.
-
Complete logs and reports according to company standards, policies and procedures.
-
Participate in any required job training and/or certifications and safety meetings.
-
Report to work as scheduled with minimal absenteeism or tardiness.
-
Attend job related training and informational seminars as requested.
-
Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS – include and are not limited to:

Valid CDL-A without restrictions and with Tanker & HazMat endorsements required

Prior driving experience preferred

TWIC Card required
-
CTEP qualifications-if not currently certified will need to obtain within 1 year of employment and maintain these certifications.

Prior experience with HazMat material preferred
Driver- Sioux Falls - Up to $21.25 /hr. (Depending on Endorsements)

The bus driver will assist all passengers with their transportation needs. This position will require the ability to bend, brace, and lift up to 50 lbs. RCPT will train successful applicants to earn a Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement and nationally recognized safety procedures when operating the vehicle. This position is eligible for a $ 1,500 sign-on bonus payable in two increments: half after the completion of 90 days and half after successfully earning your CDL endorsement.
