Position Overview
The Mobile Device Management (MDM) System Administrator manages the provisioning, configuration, security, and lifecycle of enterprise mobile devices. This role ensures mobile endpoints operate efficiently, remain compliant with organizational security standards, and are integrated seamlessly into the enterprise IT environment. The MDM Administrator serves as the subject matter expert for mobile device technologies, supporting both classified and unclassified mobility solutions.
Device Provisioning & Configuration
- Enroll, configure, and deploy mobile devices for users, including smartphones, tablets, and specialized mobile equipment.
- Manage mobile profiles, application deployment, and operating system updates through the MDM platform.
- Support integration with Apple Business Manager (ABM) and Android Enterprise.
Security & Compliance
- Enforce mobile security policies, including password requirements, encryption, and remote wipe capabilities.
- Monitor and remediate security vulnerabilities on mobile devices in coordination with cybersecurity teams.
- Ensure compliance with federal mobility standards and applicable security guidelines for both classified and unclassified devices.
Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide Tier 2–3 technical support for mobile device issues, including hardware failures, connectivity problems, and application malfunctions.
- Coordinate with vendors for device repairs, replacements, or warranty claims.

Lifecycle Management & Documentation
- Track mobile device inventory, lifecycle status, and usage metrics.

Requirements
Required Qualifications- Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2–4 years of professional experience administering MDM solutions in an enterprise environment.
- Familiarity with mobile security standards, including STIG compliance.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise MDM tools such as Microsoft Intune, MobileIron, or VMware Workspace ONE.
- Vendor-specific MDM certifications (e.g., Intune, MobileIron, or Apple Certified iOS Technician) preferred.
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification strongly recommended.
- Must be eligible for a U.S. Government Secret clearance.

Summary: The IT Systems Specialist MDM is responsible for installing and maintaining operating systems and related software to ensure stable performance. Support will be provided remotely, as well as at production locations performing maintenance and repairs, including software and computer installations and upgrades with a focus on Mobile Device Management. This position may require occasional travel to remote Alaska sites.

- Administer and support enterprise MDM solutions (e.g., Intune, Workspace ONE).
- Implement and enforce mobile security policies including encryption, remote wipe, and app restrictions.

This is a non-exempt position with an annualized salaryrange of $80,000 to $110,000.

Minimum RequirementsRequired Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

Responsibilities

- To restore service and/or identify and correct core problems by interacting as needed with other Information Technology teams, other DCH Departments, independent DCH business partners and vendor support personnel.

The Lead Endpoint Management Engineer provides design, implementation, and third level support for enterprise virtual desktop management infrastructure and tools including Omnissa Horizon, VMware vSphere/vCenter/vSAN/ESXi, VMware Aria Operations, Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, and the associated operating system management and integrations. POSITION SUMMARY:
Endpoint Management Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a secure, scalable, and efficient modern endpoint environment. This position leads the management of endpoint imaging, application packaging, deployment, configuration, patching, and compliance across all platforms including Windows, macOS, and iOS. The role is critical to ensuring a modern, secure, and user-centric computing environment that aligns with the firm's operational goals and security standards.
This position also serves as a senior escalation point for endpoint-related issues and collaborates closely with Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Endpoint Systems Management
- Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Windows 11 images, workstation deployment tools, and automated configuration workflows.
- Administer and maintain Intune, including configuration profiles and compliance policies.
- Manage and improve device provisioning and lifecycle processes using Windows Autopilot, Apple Business Manager, and Intune.
- Assist with client technology asset tracking and lifecycle for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals across Windows, macOS, and iOS.
- Package, test, and deploy applications using Win32, MSI, MSIX, Microsoft Store, and all other applicable formats.
- Enable application self-service delivery through Company Portal or other tools.
- Manage and oversee patching for Microsoft and third-party applications using tools such as Kaseya, Windows Update for Business, Intune update rings, or other tools.
- Monitor application usage, enforce software metering, and ensure compliance with update and licensing policies.
- Enforce security policies using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, BitLocker, compliance baselines, and configuration profiles.
- Manage MDM/MAM policies to protect sensitive corporate data across all devices.
- Partner with the Information Security team to address endpoint vulnerabilities and align with CIS, NIST, and Zero Trust standards.
- Implement and manage application control solutions, including application allowlisting, to ensure endpoint security and compliance with organizational standards.
- Continuously monitor device posture and threat intelligence through compliance dashboards and analytics tools.
- Implement, configure, and manage RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) platforms to support proactive endpoint management.
- Automate endpoint tasks, software deployments, and health checks through scripting and integrated RMM toolsets.
- Integrate Intune or RMM tools with asset management, alerting, and ITSM/ticketing systems to streamline operations.
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards using Intune, Entra ID, and RMM data to drive operational visibility and executive insights.
- Contribute to the IT knowledge base by documenting troubleshooting procedures, how-to guides, and support documentation.
