Purpose
Manages a team to ensure accurate and timely purchasing of natural gas supplies for Empire District Gas, Midstate's Gas, and Peach State utilities. Works closely with Producers and Pipelines to ensure an adequate and seamless delivery of natural gas supplies, and to ensure that all supply costs are defended, supported, and recovered. Responsible for all regulatory compliance, development of testimony, responds to data requests, and serves as Energy Procurement's witness in regulatory proceedings for Empire District Gas, Midstate's Gas, and Peach State.
Accountabilities
* Manages others to ensure that gas supplies are planned, purchased, and delivered in a highly accurate manner consistent with best-cost supply strategies.
* Ensures contracts and tariffs are monitored and administered to assure rules are followed and utilized for procurement decisions.
* Liaises closely with the Supply Operations team to ensure Marketer Nominations and pipeline confirmations align with plans and purchases.
* Supports and approves the monthly and annual reconciliations of pipeline, supplier, hedging and other transactional documents and activities to ensure accuracy.
* Follows up with relevant party when there are discrepancies between flowing gas and invoiced volumes.
* Provides closing information to regulatory and financial accounting for use in forecasting and reconciliation.
* Liaises with Measurement and Gas Control teams to ensure measurement devices are fully operational and accurate.
* Implements and maintains the PCI gas management system (or other, as necessary) for storage balances and flowing gas activities.
* Maintains close working relationships with local engineering and operations staff, Marketers, Pipeline representatives, Traders, and Planners to ensure effective communication between all parties regarding distribution system integrity.
* Works closely with Director of Energy Procurement to ensure best practices are aligned with all Liberty Gas Utilities.
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent
* 5 years' experience in the natural gas industry with demonstrated ability to proactively identify and solve problems; strong analytical, oral, and written communications skills required.

- Support end-of-month closing process in collaboration with partner teams and internal customers

The right candidate has an analytical skill set, experience with power transactions and settlements in major regulate and non-regulated energy markets (US and abroad), and experience with reporting and BI tools.
Key job responsibilities
- Support financial controllership reporting for operational projects by compiling and analyzing performance, analyzing impacts to our business units and our customers

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in energy procurement, trading, or origination with demonstrated expertise in both wholesale and renewable markets.
- Proven track record of leading complex energy transactions, including PPAs and structured energy products.
- Strong understanding of electricity markets, regulatory environments, and energy risk management practices.
- Experience in or exposure to global energy markets (EMEA, APAC) is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional negotiation and commercial skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience in the data center, tech, or industrial sectors is a plus.

Our published pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and geographical location. As a strategic supply chain manager, you'll take end-to-end ownership of operations, emphasizing sales & operations planning, logistics optimization, network design, and analysis of operational efficiency. Key job responsibilities:
- Lead strategic initiatives related to network capacity within Amazon's various business units.
- Concentrate on optimizing and managing the flow of goods, information, or services within the supply chain network.
- Balance supply and demand, assess and improve the efficiency of distribution networks, warehouses, or logistics operations.
- Analyze and synthesize data to identify opportunities for enhancing customer experiences and operational efficiency in network capacity.
- Define metrics, develop program management mechanisms, and invent/simplify processes to drive decision-making in complex network capacity situations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across different functions, influencing and facilitating agreements to achieve shared network capacity goals.
- Manage cross-functional network capacity initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to lean philosophy at scale.
- Own a portfolio of cross-functional programs related to network capacity, driving performance improvement and efficiency in project delivery.
- Identify and deliver operational improvement opportunities in network capacity, focusing on inventory management, logistics strategy, and transportation optimization.
- Monitor and optimize key network capacity metrics to ensure the smooth flow of goods or services through the supply chain network.
Basic qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of supply chain experience
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 5+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree
- 5+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 5+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
