This person will define the standards and how to enforce those standards in the field at a construction site.
This role will provide IT Infrastructure project design and on-site oversight on a variety of construction projects at Royal Caribbean. The person will be responsible for the delivery of IT infrastructure and will ensure that all parties follow proper design principles, code requirements, and Royal Caribbean Group Standards to guarantee the operation, performance, and usability of chosen technology platforms.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement short and long-term solutions to make certain IT infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of Technical Designs, Standard's Documents, RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for IT projects and associated efforts.
• Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization's executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent departmental activities.
• Direct and supervise a contingent of engineers and technicians during the deployment phase of projects.
Knowledge & Experience:
• Exceptional and in-depth Technical knowledge of the physical layer including cabling plant systems, and data related power, cooling, and fire suppression systems.
• Experience in creating and working with complex infrastructure designs and with organizing, planning, and executing architectural projects.
• Excellent knowledge of current pertinent industry standards and codes (TIA/EIA, IEEE, etc.).
• Ability to understand construction prints and documents in CAD, Revit, PDF and other formats.
• Experience in working/leading large projects involving multiple departments, business representatives, stakeholders, contractors and others.
• Knowledge and understanding of IT systems, flow charts, data concepts, and telecommunications principles.
• Working knowledge of IP reliant systems that are part of modern construction projects, including but not limited to, Audio Visual, Physical Security (CCTV and Card Access), Wireless (WiFi, DAS, PtP, Satellite), Building Automation.
• Bicsi RCDD or similar Certification preferred.

The role of a Civil Engineer in our Community Development Business Line is to work as a team member on projects under the close guidance and supervision of a senior engineer/designer. You will work closely with a project engineer to learn how best to assist the project manager and design team with land development permitting and site design. - Supports project team in development of design documentation, plans, and reports for relevant project design elements.
- Prepares and revises documentation required for land development permitting through local, state and federal jurisdictions.
- Performs quality reviews for documents in various project phases including construction plans, reviewing agency submittal packages, and engineering calculation reports.
- Assist in preparing engineering calculation reports including but not limited to: stormwater design, potable water design, sanitary sewer design, and irrigation design.
- Attends project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
- Takes sufficient notes at all meetings in order to organize efforts and follow through with requested deliverables
- Coordinates and keeps consistent communication with other disciplines to ensure entire design team has same design intent and is on schedule
- Prepares and coordinates submittals to permitting entities

- Assists in the evaluation and selection of civil systems and materials.

Position Description : We review candidates for this entry-level structural engineering position throughout the year in all of our California offices: Los Angeles, Oakland, Sacramento, San Diego, and San Francisco; plus Detroit, MI; and Grand Rapids, MI. Compensation and Benefits : The pay rate for this position, across the various offices, generally ranges between $77,000 and $114,000 annually. Job Description :
Create a safe and beautifully built environment through expert engineering consultation, with a commitment to serving the needs of our clients. The core technical tasks that you focus on during this training period will prepare you for the Professional Engineering (PE) licensing exam.
Responsibilities :
- Review architectural and structural drawings for new and existing structures to provide structural design and analysis.
- Prepare engineering calculation packages including assumptions and narrative to justify design methodology.
- Assist in solving client construction challenges to deliver constructible solutions by coordinating with other disciplines, responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and performing construction engineering.
- General exposure to new concepts in construction.
Minimum Requirements :
- MS in Structural Engineering or BS in Structural Engineering with 1-2 years of related full-time work experience.
- Professional communication skills.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
Desired Requirements :
- Passing grade on FE exam.
- Knowledge of software programs such as AutoCAD, Tekla, RISA, RAM, Revit, Excel, MathCAD, SAP2000, ETABS, Python, or others.
- Demonstrated leadership potential.
- Experience in seismic engineering analysis and design of buildings a plus.
