**INTRODUCTION and WHAT YOU WILL DO (Job Responsibilities)**
This position is primarily responsible assisting in the maintenance and commissioning of equipment located at customer sites. Function in an On Call capacity for customers requesting support. Provide phone service reply to e-mail for service questions by performing the following duties.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Manages electrical testing, mechanical testing, field service, repairs retrofits problem solving.
+ Operates independently on site and in an on-call capacity.
+ Installs and repairs equipment.
+ Train customers on maintenance and troubleshooting.
+ Perform trial runs of the equipment.
+ Promotes and participates in continuous improvement efforts.
+ Fill out test paperwork properly.
+ Analyze test results, and report on them accordingly
+ Performs weights and measures testing.
+ Runs Series II and C-Scape and needed software properly.
+ Read and analyze prints/drawings.
+ Uses AX Dynamics to look up parts and inventory logs etc.
**Accountability:**
+ Accountable for performing the safe and timely maintenance, repair and testing of equipment.
+ Percent of customer satisfaction of services performed.
**Business Related Contacts:**
+ Engineering - needs to provide feedback and obtain answers/frequency - often.
+ Sales - needs to provide site updates/frequency - occasional.
+ Production - needs to provide feedback on quality/frequency - often.
+ Customers - update customer as needed.

The base compensation range for this position is $59,700 to $82,300 per annum. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon numerous factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
For this specific role, you may be eligible for overtime in accordance with state laws. Overtime hours are not guaranteed.

+ As a Manufacturing Engineer in the Defense and Aerospace industry, your primary responsibility will be to develop and improve manufacturing processes and systems to ensure the efficient and cost-effective production of defense and aerospace products.
+ You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, production personnel, and quality assurance, to optimize manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Process Development:** Design and develop manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions to meet product specifications and quality standards. Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety.
+ **Production Optimization:** Collaborate with design engineers to ensure producibility and manufacturability of new products. Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to optimize production flow and reduce cycle times.
+ **Equipment Selection and Integration:** Evaluate manufacturing equipment and technologies, recommend suitable options, and oversee their integration into production lines. Ensure equipment meets industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
+ **Continuous Improvement:** Lead and participate in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives. Identify areas for improvement, implement process enhancements, and drive cost reduction, waste elimination, and quality improvement efforts.
+ **Quality Assurance:** Collaborate with the quality team to establish and maintain quality control procedures, including inspection and testing methods. Resolve production-related quality issues and implement preventive measures to ensure compliance with industry and customer specifications.
+ **Supply Chain Coordination:** Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely availability of materials, components, and equipment. Evaluate supplier capabilities and performance to support production schedules and quality requirements.
+ **Documentation and Reporting:** Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including process specifications, standard operating procedures, and engineering change orders. Generate reports on key performance indicators, production metrics, and improvement initiatives.
+ **Safety and Compliance:** Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks and promote a safe working environment.
**Qualifications and Skills:**
+ Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees may be preferred.
+ Previous experience in manufacturing engineering roles, preferably in the defense or aerospace industry.
+ Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies, including CNC machining, additive manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
+ Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as AS9100, ITAR, and NADCAP.
+ Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for process development and optimization.
+ Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Engineering and other analytic resources for customer case resolution support.

Communicates with other Dimatix departments as necessary and appropriate to respond to customer inquiries.

Provides support to Engineering and Business Development through defined feedback channels to ensure customer product requirements are known and met.

Prepares Trip Reports on the status of customer products, issues, and opportunities for each customer visit.

REQUIRED:

NCR Voyix's Field Services Team creates value for our customers by delivering solutions that build long term relationships. Acting as a first line response to our customers, you will communicate in an open, helpful, and engaging manner with the focus being finding the right solution. You will organize, triage customer issues, and even handle some problems before they start. No matter the situation, your formal training (provided through NCR Voyix) will allow you to provide customers what they need when they need it.

Utilize your skills to:
+ Perform customer installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively.
+ Service electromechanical equipment like self-checkout systems within an assigned territory
+ Perform maintenance, repair, PM work, and system overhauls.
+ Basic Qualifications to qualify:
+ Local candidate to specific geographic area.
+ Authorized to work in the US.
+ Have a valid driver's license and driving record that satisfies NCR fleet requirements.
+ PC skills, basic electronic skills, and some specific hardware and operating system familiarity.
+ Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
+ Prolonged travel with driving several hours per day.
+ Rotating and weekend shifts.
+ Flexible shift work - Rotating shifts within set teams including morning, afternoon, and evening start times with some holidays.
+ Carrying and lifting tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. without assistance, up to 150 lbs. with assistance.
+ Bending, squatting, walking, standing, sitting, reaching, working with your hands, and repetitively grasping and manipulating objects of varying size.
+ Willing to be trained on and operate small scale scissor lifts in retail environments to service or replace networking equipment such as access points or switches.
Preferred Qualifications (not required, but nice to have):
+ Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software
+ A+ Certification, CompTIA, N+ Certification
+ One or more years of related experience
