**Your Impact**
The Field Service Engineer will support and guide customers in successfully applying, installing, monitoring, testing, and repairing condition monitoring systems. They will be using various monitoring technologies along with test and measurement products to deliver high results.
Iris Power (a division of Qualitrol Corp.) is the market leader in developing condition-based monitoring systems for high voltage rotating machines. Our products are mainly used in the utilities industry but also other industries that use high voltage equipment. You will be a critical addition to our international Field Service team, delivering various services to our critical infrastructure customers including on-site advice, software and hardware commissioning, and test data analysis.

**Skills & Experience**
_The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:_
+ College or university graduate in Electrical Engineering
+ Above-average proficiency in using Microsoft word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software, preferably with basic knowledge of computer networking
+ Practical work experience in power industries preferably with exposure to high voltage equipment and rotating machines. Utilities industry experience a plus.
+ Experience working with various meters, digital oscilloscopes
+ Strong ability to deliver training to our customers in a class setting as well as in a practical hands-on environment.
+ Have an international driver's license and an availability to travel. Position is remote and will require up to 70% travel.
+ Experience with High Voltage (>3kV) test equipment and knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus is preferred.

Job Responsibilities:
+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and significantly complex projects and assignments using critical/Socratic thinking skills.
+ Knowledge of quality systems and gauging methods.
+ Experience with component machining and assembly processes including CNC machining centers (400 in the plant) precision grinding processes, managing and controlling extremely tight tolerances, CAD (Solid works ), CAM (MasterCAM), Metrology (CMM, in-line gaging, surface plate, air gaging, etc.), and GD&T application.
+ Ability to educate associates in the classroom and on the shop floor-educator.
+ Strong technical knowledge and proven abilities in process engineering disciplines.
+ Driver to implement lean manufacturing principles and changes. Demonstrate excellent levels of analytical ability.
+ Team player who knows how to lead, follow, and sometimes just listen.
+ Develop manufacturing process designs and coordinate with tooling and equipment sources for construction & validation.

In this key role, you will provide manufacturing engineering leadership throughout a new model development program - from initial concept through final assembly. **Responsibilities**
Field Engineering:
+ Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
+ Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work
+ Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages
+ Assist in field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and compilation of as-built data
