As an Entry-Level Civil Engineering Construction Technician on our Construction Materials and Testing (CMT) Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction projects. You will learn to independently collect construction materials samples from various construction sites and perform tests and inspections to assess the properties and integrity of those materials, using specialized equipment and following established procedures and standards. You will document your findings and communicate results to project managers and other stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making and maintaining the integrity and safety of construction projects. We collaborate with a diverse range of local clients who often require our team members to hold EIT (Engineer-in-Training) or ICC (International Code Council) certifications to ensure compliance and excellence on project sites.

Position Objective
The Project Engineer is a key operational position for the organization and serves as a point of contact for internal and external parties during the construction phase of the project. Essential Job Functions
- Control time, cost and quality of a construction project through careful schedule management, coordination of subcontractor work, and quality oversight

- Keep an open line of communication between field management and project coordinators
- Assist Lead Project Manager with project communication by facilitating internal and external meetings, keeping work schedules updated and completing weekly status reports
- Ensure clients receive frequent communications regarding the status of the project and are made aware of viable options to problem-solve challenges
Qualifications and Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, project management, architectural studies or an equivalent combination of closely related education and construction experience
- Basic knowledge of project management and scheduling software
- A valid driver's license is required
- OSHA-10 and First-Aid/CPR certifications are required within 30 days of hire
