JOB SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is to plan, direct, and oversee the operations and staff of the Program Management and Engineering Department, which includes: planning, designing, and constructing of the CCWA water, wastewater, and stormwater assets and treatment facilities; developing and managing of the CCWA Strategic Master Plan; developing and maintaining the geographic information system (GIS) and computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); directs asset management; and surveying, designing, planning review, construction managing and inspecting activities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manages, directs, and evaluates assigned staff; develops and oversees employee work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and control; compiles and reviews timesheets; approves/processes employee concerns and problems and counsels or disciplines as appropriate; assists with or completes employee performance appraisals; directs work; acts as a liaison between employees and management; and trains staff in operations, policies, and procedures.
- Organizes, prioritizes, and assigns work; prioritizes and schedules work activities in order to meet objectives and goals; ensures that assigned employees have the proper resources needed to complete the assigned work; monitors status of work in progress and inspects completed work; assists in moving project forward; consults with assigned staff to assist with complex/problem situations and provide technical expertise; provides progress and activity reports to management; assists with complex problem situations; and assists with the revision of procedure manuals as appropriate.
- Oversees design, plan review and construction of all major CCWA capital improvements and additions to the water, sewer, and stormwater piping systems and water and water reclamation treatment facilities; manages consulting and construction procurements and contracts; and coordinates with other departments to assist in completion of planning, assessment, design, and construction projects as needed.
- Oversees major strategic planning initiatives for CCWA including the strategic master plan, asset management, environmental permitting, interdepartmental projects, and watershed management.
- Manages budgeting and procurement activities for the Department including the preparation of the annual operating and capital budget as well as financial planning relative to Strategic Master Plan projects; approves related credit card expenses.
- Communicates with the CCWA Board and public regarding planning, construction; and procurement issue; communicates with CCWA Board regarding approval and status of engineering projects.
- Develops and maintains design and construction specifications and standards; communicates with local, regional, state, and federal regulatory agencies regarding permitting, design, construction, and environmental issues.
- Works on business process improvements, business intelligence implications, organizational assessments, rate studies, and other activities affecting operations.
- Ensures all work activities are in compliance with local, regional, state and federal planning, permitting, and environmental requirements.
- Oversees the development and maintenance of CCWA geographic mapping and information systems.
- Performs other assigned duties.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; ten (10) years of related work experience in planning, designing, and constructing water, sewer, and stormwater systems including lead or supervisory experience.; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in performance of the essential functions and learn, comprehend, and apply all CCWA or departmental policies, practices, and procedures necessary to function effectively in the position.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid Georgia drivers license.
- Professional Engineer (PE)
Preferred Education:
- Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as sedentary work involving lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Responsibilities
- The Engineering Director will be responsible for managing people and projects across the Albuquerque engineering team;
- Project scope will include Advanced Manufacturing, Datacenter/Mission Critical, Government and Academic;
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate collaboration and cross functional leadership;
- Work with and provide mentorship to an experienced group of engineers;
- Work as part of a team in developing regional business plans to assist with strategic growth forecasting;
- Collaborate with Regional Engineering leadership & local Supervisors to manage the Engineering staff including goal setting, establishing training and developing opportunities as well as performance management;
- Act as Subject Matter Expert in an engineering specialty such as: mechanical, electrical, chemical, or process;
- Develop business opportunities regionally and nationally, as well as meet with clients;
- Establish schedules and project documentation;
- Oversee engineering management teams and provide direction as needed in the following areas: detailed schematic design, modeling and analysis of systems for multiple ongoing projects through all phases including programming, schematic, design development, constructions documents, construction administration and project close-out;
- Travel to project sites for review of constructability, review of plan and project details, meeting with clients and addressing contractor and/or vendor issues.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university;
- 20+ years of experience in semiconductor, advanced technologies and/or data center related industries;
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the U.S required;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill;
- Strong interpersonal skills when dealing with clients, project managers, junior design staff as well as executive management;
- Working knowledge of REVIT, MS Office and BIM Systems;
- Knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and familiarity with other engineering disciplines;
- Willingness to travel to domestic sites as well as internationally;
- Eligible for federal security clearance and able to meet the badging requirements set forth by our clients.

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to direct the technical approach and execution for a main internal project in the Fortnite ecosystem. They will be responsible for driving several engineering teams to be capable of meeting any technical challenge that may arise, curating the staffing levels across the various engineering specializations, providing critical technical insight and feedback, and supporting project planning from the engineering perspective. They will align project technical decisions to lead the project engineering team from the idea to a successful live online multiplayer game.
In this role, you will
- Have the ability to align disparate audiences, both clarifying complex technical issues for non-engineering stakeholders and translating the needs of production and marketing for low-level developers
- Be able to articulate challenges, risks, and trade-offs in a constructive way
- Ensure feature request requirements are clear, consistent, and achievable
- Regularly manage and mentor engineering leads and individual contributors
- Communicate cross-discipline with Design, Art, UI, and Production to understand the goals and requirements of features to be implemented
- Work with the engineering Leads to establish and refine our development roadmap
- Challenge and align technical decisions across disciplines that lead the project to success
- A technical leader who excels at giving feedback and has demonstrated capabilities in facilitating team success
- Experience in shipping AAA titles across multiple platforms
- Experience with the unique challenges of creating and maintaining large-scale, live, online multiplayer games, with a focus on advanced networking, real-time physics, and dynamic, interoperating services
- Advanced C++ skills and experience with scripting languages, low-level debugging, and optimization
- Impeccable problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience collaborating with and managing relationships with both internal teams and external partners
- Deep expertise in the product lifecycle for games, such as generating detailed technical requirements, assembling capable teams, executing said requirements, and building robust support systems to manage them
- Experience with Unreal Engine 5
- Architecting and building solutions in multiple areas of expertise - Gameplay, Graphics, Audio, UI, Networking, and Physics

- Bachelor's degree in CS or other relevant technical field, 7+ years of game industry experience in an engineering role, and 3+ years in technical leadership roles, across multiple project/hardware cycles, desired

The Impact You Will Have:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Director to lead our Engineering Team and drive the development of our products. As the Engineering Director, you will be responsible for the technical direction, architecture, and delivery of our solutions. You will lead a team of talented software engineers and work closely with product management to ensure the success of our products.
