**SUMMARY**
This position is responsible for supporting and sustaining new and existing products by managing changes that impact Hobart Service for ITW-FEG equipment and Hobart Service Product offerings. This position will help to improve operational efficiency and accuracy to deliver consistent up time for our customers by processing product changes and other collateral used by field technicians. The successful individual will work closely with the Product Support Teams, Project Leaders, and Product Managers to process product changes through Hobart Service to improve customer's equipment experience and quality.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

The major responsibilities of this role include:
+ **ACTION ORIENTED:** Create and maintain accurate engineering drawings and documentation for new products/product changes from 3D solid models/sketches using Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent. Create & release Bills of Material (BOMs) for kits and service assemblies. Prepare CAD file conversions as required.
+ **MANAGES COMPLEXITY** : Create and release engineering changes utilizing the PCN/PCRR/EPIC process. Routes Engineering Drawings and Bill of Material (BOM's) for approval and implementation.
+ **COLLABORATES** : Guide the changes to parts catalogs, service manuals, and other controlled documents. Provides engineering support to ensure products meet organization and industry standards.
+ **MANAGES AMBIGUITY** : Support various departments (Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing & Service) with required documentations functions in support of multiple product lines (specifications, device information, service assemblies, etc.).
+ **SITUATIONAL ADAPABILITY** : Perform other duties and tasks as required.
**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but will work with others including cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, engineers, and technical lab resources to deliver business objectives and project deliverables.

- Arranging supplies for R & D prototyping and testing, keeping inventory of available items.
- Assist in quoting efforts for new cable harness builds.
- Act as clerical interface between other departments within the organization.
- Tracking project metrics such as expenses, time spent on efforts, and supplies.
- Support MRP engineering maintenance part number, BOM, and Routings and complete contract reviews.
Required Skills/Qualifications:

Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Engineering Administrator to support the daily operations of our connector and cable design engineering teams. This role acts as a key liaison, ensuring efficient administrative processes across our design, R&D, continuous improvement, and testing activities. You will work closely with a talented team of engineers and test personnel to maintain workflow, streamline documentation, and support departmental needs. This position will report directly to the connector design team but will have a dotted line to a member of the cable team with weekly activities being split 50/50.
Essential Functions:
- Create and drive approval of documentation such as Engineering Change Notifications and Purchase Order Requests.
- Arranging supplies for R & D prototyping and testing, keeping inventory of available items.
- Assist in quoting efforts for new cable harness builds.
- Act as clerical interface between other departments within the organization.
- Tracking project metrics such as expenses, time spent on efforts, and supplies.
- Support MRP engineering maintenance part number, BOM, and Routings and complete contract reviews.
- Familiarity with Adobe and Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Good interpersonal skills (interfacing with multiple people/personalities)
- Expertise with Adobe and Microsoft Office programs
- Experience with ERP systems (ex. Macola)
- Exposure to project management activities is a plus
- Light work including moving objects up to 20lbs
- Sedentary work primarily involving sitting/standing
Years' Experience: 1+ Year
Education: High School Diploma. Associates Degree
