REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Degree qualified in an engineering discipline, preferably mechanical engineering.
- Demonstrated, practical knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of and the ability to use CAD systems.
- Knowledge of SPC (eg Six Sigma) based techniques to drive continuous improvement projects.

Responsibilities
+ Lead and manage a team of four direct reports with the possibility of expanding to five.
+ Delegate tasks, support projects, and develop team members through teaching and guidance.
+ Spend approximately 60% of the time in the office and 40% on the manufacturing floor.
+ Work on budgeting for 2026 soon after starting the role.
+ Oversee seven different CNC cells, turning machines, and a machining center.
+ Utilize Mazak & Haas CNC machines and program within Mastercam or Mazatrol.
+ Lead and organize continuous improvement efforts and cost-saving projects.
+ Collaborate across cross-functional teams, including leadership, engineering, production managers, maintenance, and operators.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's of Science Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
+ 5+ years of experience in machining, manufacturing, or process engineering roles.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Access Databases, and Excel.
+ Experience with ERP systems and blueprint reading/routings.
+ Experience in creating engineering budgets.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Familiarity with processing of milling, turning, and grinding.
+ CNC programming experience utilizing Mastercam or Mazak.
Work Environment
The work environment is temperature-controlled and air-conditioned, providing a comfortable setting. Employees typically wear jeans and a polo, with steel-toed shoes or boots required. The standard work hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with flexibility to start earlier. Approximately 80% of the work is conducted on the manufacturing floor, with the remaining 20% in the production office alongside other engineers and production managers.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $55.29/hr.
