**What You Will Do**
- JOB SUMMARY
As part of a matrix organization within the Global Engineering team, responsible for delivery of cross category engineering and technology projects, to include work on elaboration, implementation and execution of technical projects (including product projects when required). Offer ongoing Engineering support to factories within the GSC manufacturing footprint with special emphasis on Americas region.
Using Engineering best practice to transfer product ideation to validated concepts, industrialize & drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and product quality, supporting GSC's manufacturing footprint and leveraging learnings and best practice from site to site.
- WHAT YOU WILL DO

+ Managing of engineering projects from concept to installation and handover This includes client and supplier liaison, specification generation and approval, budget control, effective time management, etc
+ Planning and coordination of projects across geographically diverse IB locations. This may include coordination and management of contractors as well as factory-based resources
+ Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements
+ Confirms product performance by designing and authoring test protocols and execution of testing
+ Support with global initiatives such as Spare parts mgmt., machine obsolescence mgmt., ESG, etc
+ Identify areas of opportunity across the GSC manufacturing footprint, prepare proposals and manage the execution/delivery of those projects when approved
+ Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems
+ Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions
+ Controls project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts
+ Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions
+ Work with and support manufacturing plant projects and needs.
+ Coordinatequalification/validationtesting
+ Maintains project data base by writing computer programs, entering and backing up data
+ Lead the development and implementation of new equipment to improve the manufacturing efficiency
+ Awareness of evolving legislation relevant to machinery installations and upgrades, in order to supply solutions in line with legal requirements
+ Awareness of supplier developments and strategy to drive Global Engineering standards
+ Support with IB business processes such as Capital planning and forecast
+ Provide input into best practice process development
+ Maintain product & company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations
+ Ensure projects adherence to regulatory compliances, including Group & FDA.
+ Awareness of evolving legislation relevant to machinery installations & upgrades, in order to supply solutions in line with legal requirements

**Qualifications**
- REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 3+ years related work experience.
+ Must be 21 years of age or older
+ Related work experience to include:
+ A minimum of 2 years engineering experience in an FMCG environment

The Engineering Manager is a pivotal role within our manufacturing plant. This role will be responsible for leading the engineering team and driving operational excellence.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Assess current vs. future capacity requirements and implement capacity improvements
  • Develop and implement new and existing equipment acceptance plans
  • Develop work methods and layouts
  • Demonstrated use of capital project management skills to deliver safe, effective, low-cost capital solutions (Project planning, approval process, equipment specification, budget, Preventative Maintenance, acceptance plans, design review, safety assessments, capital request)
  • Solid understanding of DMAIC tools; when to apply them, interpretation of results and application for effective solutions (Process map, process capability, C&E matrix, fishbone diagram, FMEA, MSA, DOE, control plan) Drive improvement activity.
  • Collaborate with delivery partners to determine appropriate projects of focus, using available data from observation, queries, process data, and working partner input
  • Interface with Advanced Design, Product Engineering, and other business partners on the design for manufacturability, process capability, and production builds of new product or product revisions.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Degree qualified in an engineering discipline, preferably mechanical engineering.
  • Demonstrated, practical knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to use CAD systems.
  • Knowledge of SPC (eg Six Sigma) based techniques to drive continuous improvement projects.

Join our advanced manufacturing team as a Robotics & Automation Technician, where you'll play a key role in optimizing production through intelligent diagnostics, proactive system enhancements, and precision engineering. This role focuses on the integration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of robotic and automated systems to ensure peak operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to analyze and resolve issues in robotic systems, PLCs, servo drives, and automated machinery.

  • Execute and refine preventive maintenance protocols using data-driven insights. Identify and implement preemptive solutions to enhance system reliability and reduce downtime.

  • Install, calibrate, and validate robotic components and automation systems. Collaborate on system upgrades and new technology rollouts.

  • Partner with engineering teams and leadership to report system performance, propose improvements, and address safety enhancements.

  • Design, build, and modify custom hand-assembly machines and robotic fixtures. Perform precision welding and mechanical fabrication as needed.

  • Maintain detailed records of system performance, maintenance activities, and engineering changes. Ensure adherence to safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout and PPE standards.

  • Participate in machine improvement meetings and contribute to innovation initiatives. Stay current with emerging technologies in robotics and automation.
