**Job Description**
BAE Systems is hiring a Mechanical Engineer in Aiken, SC on First Shift to provide Engineering Production Support (EPS) of the multiple production programs. This candidate will serve as an interface between manufacturing, design and production engineering for evaluating and resolving problems related to the design and fabrication of mechanical subsystems, assemblies, and components. This candidate will support design related change notices and variance activities.
This position is part of our onsite Engineering Production Support (EPS) team. The position would be ideal for a Mechanical Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer interested in production manufacturing and problem solving.
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Review and interpret design specifications, drawings, documentation, models, and/or test results to ensure technical designs comply with applicable engineering standards, military specifications, and product requirements.
+ Support vehicle production on 1st or 2nd Shift by being the Engineering Point of Contact for the various programs
+ Work with production support to create Problem Reports detailing engineering related issues with items in production, liaising with Integrated Program Team (IPT) to develop a solution.
+ Maintain the Variance control process for production related variations from the technical data package (TDP). This includes obtaining Internal and Customer approval for subject Variances.
+ Develop timely, complex and non-complex solutions to problems and coordinate effective fixes through Variances, standard and non-standard repairs and configuration notes.
+ Assist in assigned special projects and/or process improvement teams to improve work effectiveness and relationships between Design and Production (e.g.: improve Configuration Management of TDP and Re-man Drawings, develop and implement design change work flow processes within configuration management and engineering data management systems).
+ Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives, policies, and rules.
+ Daily coordination with onsite Operations, Quality and Supply Chain teams
+ Support mBOM and Drawing package related issues
+ Support weekly and pre-material review board efforts
+ Assist in VIR investigation and responses for Aiken site related issues
**Flexible Scheduling Options**
This team offers a variety of scheduling options to accommodate different work styles and preferences. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to choose from the following schedules (Mon-Fri):
+ **4/10 Schedule** : Work 4 days a week, 10 hours per day ( **every Friday off).**
+ **9/80 Schedule** : Work 9 days in a 2-week period (every **_other_** **Friday off).**
+ **5/40 Schedule** : Work 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (every **weekend off).**
_Once you've selected your preferred schedule, it will remain consistent and not fluctuate_
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar degree.Entry level knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a relevant technical field of specialization.
+ Experienced using 3D CAD software such as PTC Creo (Pro/Engineer, ProductView).
+ Strong organizational skills and proven ability to coordinate multiple priorities to achieve a deliverable deadline.
+ Familiarity with current computer applications and technologies in applicable engineering disciplines.
+ Ability to create/maintain large Excel spreadsheets.
+ Ability to resolve basic technical design and development problems.
+ Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with customers to solve technical problems.
+ Demonstrated self-starter, who requires minimal supervision.
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Experience supporting engineering in a prototype or production environment where weldments, fabrication of machined parts, and assembly and integration of subsystems is performed.
+ Experience working with military ground vehicles.
+ Familiarity with relevant military and commercial design standards.
+ Knowledgeable of the Manufacturing and Configuration Management System.
+ Familiarity with CREO.
+ Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing ASME Y14.5-2009.
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $70735 - $

SimVentions is looking for a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Technician capable of independently running an Electronics and Printed Circuit Board production and prototype facility for engineering development and low rate production efforts.  You will work closely with a highly disciplined engineering team supporting quick turn precision projects.  Projects involve innovative and novel integrations of electrical components and development of specialized PCBs.  Must have a high level of attention to detail and ability to run a diverse set of machines/equipment. 

This position is located on Dahlgren Naval Base, running an electronic production/prototyping laboratory. This requires on base presence.

A Secret Clearance is required to start with the ability to be eligible for a TS/SCI clearance. 

Travel: None Clearance:

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position.  However, TS/SCI is preferred. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.  Ability to upgrade to a TS/SCI clearance is required within a year of starting.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 4 years experience as a skilled electrical engineering technician
  • Demonstrated experience operating four or more of the following manufacturing equipment:
    • solder stencil printers
    • pick & place machines

Corteva's co-op program provides undergraduate engineering students first-hand experience working for a global company in the agriculture industry and the opportunity to evaluate Corteva as a potential full-time employer. The program is a collaboration between Corteva and universities providing students with paid work experiences during their studies towards a bachelor's degree in engineering. 
Students in the program are encouraged to try different engineering roles as they progress from one assignment to the next. The work assignments give students realistic, hands-on experience similar to what they might expect to encounter as a full-time Corteva employee in a comparable entry level role. The assignments also provide students with opportunities for personal development by integrating classroom knowledge with practical work and allow them to demonstrate their skills for future career opportunities.
**What You'll Do:**
In the Engineering & Manufacturing organization at Corteva, you will have opportunities to do the following:

Students working in our engineering student program will be expected to provide general support for production engineers in a manufacturing plant at various Corteva locations around the United States.  Examples of tasks for the students might include, but are not limited to:
- Create operating discipline and provide training to operations personnel.
- Manufacturing process troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Collect and analyze process data to document process capabilities & asset utilization.
- Identify process limitations and propose/implement strategies to reduce or eliminate such limitations.
- Identify waste reduction opportunities and propose/implement strategies to reduce or eliminate process waste.
- Manage/execute small expense projects to improve the operating efficiency of the plant.
- Document expected responses to process control alarms.
- Generate process knowledge to maintain or improve product quality, energy efficiency, & production rates.
- Participate in plant Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) programs.
- Maintain & improve the EHS&S performance of the plant.
**What Skills You Need:**
The following requirements MUST be met for consideration in this student employment program: 
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited college or university
- Enrolled in an ABET accredited engineering program.
- Major in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Agree to work a minimum of two (2) co-op terms at our manufacturing sites prior to graduation.
- Have the legal right to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without restrictions.
- Maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or better at your current university or college.
- Provide your own transportation to and from work location for each co-op assignment.
In addition to these requirements, we are seeking candidates who have demonstrated the following core competencies:

**Job Description**
The AMPV Engineering Production Support (EPS) Lead position is responsible for the overall management of all activities to resolve production vehicle build issues in a timely manner and communicate status regularly to program management. This position must interact effectively with the program engineering team, supply chain, manufacturing engineering, the materials planning and management group and DCMA in support of combat vehicle sales. This involves performing an impact analysis when issues arise and prioritizing the resolution of issues based on feedback from all of the stakeholders.
The performance of this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
+ Determine and staff the required level of resources on the EPS team
+ Provide EAC values for the EPS effort
+ Provide leadership and coordination of the EPS team and IPT design engineers to solve production issues in a timely manner
+ Be cognizant of production issues and attend AMPV Production meetings with 80% attendance and assign other personnel from the EPS team to attend in your absence
+ Monitor AMPV York and Aiken fabrication and vehicle assembly barrier issue boards and closure of any whiteboard issues
+ Involve appropriate IPT Leads & Responsible Engineers, and immediately notify IPT engineers of new issues or if an issue has changed criticality or is hot item of the day if the responsible engineer is not in attendance of production meetings.
+ Proactivelymanage and schedule engineers and designers support calendars as needed to support incorporation efforts
+ Maintain the IPT Lead and responsible engineer POC list and communicate to the Production team.
+ Maintain floor support schedule at least one month out with engineers and designers from the program team
+ Coordinate efforts between Operations and Engineering and set up cross-functional meetings if needed to address particular hot issues.
+ Responsible for engineering support to production before and after sales of vehicles
+ Lead the Variance creation, approval, submittal process management and maintenance
+ Maintain a single status spreadsheet for tracking Major and Minor Variances, provide the needed metrics as required.
+ Ensure Causal Codes are assigned to all Problem Reports and metrics are collected and provided to the EPS Section Manager
+ Capture lessons learned, VIR and problem report metrics for process improvement implementation for AMPV and for future program efforts

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
* Bachelor s degree in a relevant technical discipline (typically mechanical or aerospace engineering) plus 6 years relevant experience; or a Master s degree and 4 years relevant experience
* Experience creating or analyzing moderately complex mechanical designs using CAD systems, preferably PTC Pro-E or CREO
* Ability to solve complex technical design and development problems that require a professional level of engineering knowledge
* Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
* Knowledge of finite element analysis tools and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
* Ability to conduct root cause and impact analysis
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
* Familiarity with relevant military and commercial design standards
* Experience in a prototype or production environment
* Experience leading or mentoring engineers or designers

**JOB SUMMARY:**
Interns will perform Quality System data analysis and assist MRB Engineers in evaluation of nonconformance to type design. This includes data analysis to evaluate frequent part rejections, create correction plans, and define department performance. Additional duties may include nonconformance evaluation and development of repair instructions on production aircraft. This position provides in-depth experience with other Engineering teams, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Project teams. MRB Engineering is the operational function.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Analyze Quality System data to improve in-production aircraft
+ Manage data to describe department performance
+ Review part/assembly nonconformance rejections and determine action using basic stress analysis and other appropriate analysis
+ Develop and write engineering disposition repair instructions
+ Coordinate within Engineering Production Support, Supply Chain, and other technical groups to support the team
**Qualifications**
**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:**
Pursuing a Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related field
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
