The Senior Data Engineering Professional, working under limited supervision, is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines to facilitate efficient and reliable data movement across systems while ensuring data integrity and optimal performance within Devon's Data Hub. The role designs and implements data processing systems using cutting-edge technologies such as Databricks, PySpark, Snowflake, Azure DevOps, and Tidal to provide timely insights for business operations. The role contributes to strategic data planning, offering insights into emerging technologies and industry trends. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provides support for advanced analytics and machine learning, with a preference for experience in AI. The role implements scaling strategies for data systems, optimizing performance, and ensuring data security compliance.
- Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents data applications/programs, working with junior developers to ensure that code is written in a testable way and designs efficient processes that can scale as required by stakeholders.
- Recommends code improvement opportunities for readability, testability, and efficiency, and designs tests that ensure expected output in complex situations.
- Designs and implements data processing systems, leveraging latest technologies such as Databricks, PySpark, and Snowflake to enable timely and actionable insights for business operations and decision-making.
- Refines the organization's data architecture, introducing advanced concepts such as data lakes, data mesh, and event-driven architectures to support evolving business requirements and data ecosystem complexity.

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any other related discipline and/or commensurate work experience is required.
Experience:
- 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in Information Technology specializing in areas such as Data Architecture, Data Integration, Data Warehousing, Data Quality and Governance, or a related field. Industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Support:
- The Contractor shall provide cyber security engineering, RMF, and Security Manager support for SCCA activities. Cyber security engineering, RMF, and Security Manager support encompass a range of tasks and responsibilities aimed at ensuring the security and protection of the SCCA's systems, data, and assets. It involves implementing security measures, conducting risk assessments, supporting DoD authorization and accreditation efforts, and developing strategies to mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Security Engineering:

The Contractor shall provide engineering support for SCCA activities. Security engineering involves applying engineering principles and practices to design, implement, and maintain secure systems, operations, and infrastructures. It focuses on preventing unauthorized access, protecting data integrity, and ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information. Additionally, security engineering includes assisting in the development of security policies and procedures, personnel security functions such as briefings and debriefings, and the management of controlled areas and classified documents.

Provide security engineering support services to all technical aspects of the SCCASCCA programs using a combination of DoD policy and industry best practices. Tasks may include:

Support security engineering efforts related to all XaaS product offerings provided from the SCCA program.

Architect and create secure, modern, and repeatable security solutions for the SCCA Marketplace following industry best practices, such as DevSecOps and Agile principles, and map to DoD security standards.

Support security engineering efforts for networking equipment needed to connect existing DoD networks to SCCA Cloud Service Providers at all information levels and classification levels.

Support design and review for high assurance/high security one-way file transfer solutions.

Respond, investigate, and assist in the remediation of any breach or potential security issues reported by the SCCA cloud service provider.

Monitor logs from SCCA managed hardware and software along with SCCA cloud service provider data to identify and remediate potential breaches or misconfigurations.

This is a hybrid position in Portland, OR however, qualified candidates in the U.S will also be considered.
In this role, you will be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of assigned routine engineering tasks as you gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget, and schedule for assigned tasks. You will effectively recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly, provide assistance during startup, and coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will produce installation details, motor control center single lines, electric room layouts, motor control elementaries, connection diagrams, cable schedules, control panel layouts and grounding, lighting, and power plans.

* Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
* At least 8 years of engineering experience of building electrical systems
* Experience with power system software, preferably ETAP
* Knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) & IEEE Standards
* Understanding of electrical power system equipment/components, such as Switchgears, transformers, panelboards, generators, UPS, etc.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
Ideally, you'll also have:
* Electrical design experience for semiconductor or mission critical facilities
* Medium Voltage (MV) design experience
* Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Team leadership and client interaction experience
