**Summary**
The Senior Manager, Engineering Program/Project Management is responsible for leading and managing design engineers and other technical engineers working on specific projects. They manage the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex designs. They are responsible for managing large projects with complex scope, multiple streams of work and inter-dependencies.
**Detailed Description**
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
+ Manage multiple high visibility programs (multiple projects per program) of high complexity (technology, organizationally) and/or business impact. Lead Cross-functional, global core team(s), kick off programs, establish schedules and drive meetings.
+ Present to, communicate with and influence segment/LOB business leaders.
+ Lead/develop company wide, cross functional or complex process initiatives or business strategy.
+ Demonstrate ability to grow cross functional team members by identifying development opportunities and coaching Program Core Team members.
+ Present and communicate status to the business leaders and customers. Review and interpret customer specifications and provides customer feedback
+ Coordinate site-wide deployment efforts.
+ Implement change as directed in the product lifecycle process and recommends process improvements
+ Plan the overall program and monitor the progress. Drive the creation, review, approval and update of the Program Plan/WBS including resources.
+ Daily program management throughout the program life
+ Drive the program core team to meet or exceed program objectives (Cost, Quality, Schedule, Features, Fulfillment/Continuity of Supply, Solution delivery across products & service offerings, Customer Specific Needs)
+ Define program governance (controls)
+ Manage the program's budget. Forecast actuals against plan/quote for income/revenue, cost/labour & expense
+ Manage risks and issues and taking corrective measurements
+ Coordinates the projects and their interdependencies. Manage and utilize resources across projects
+ Align the deliverables (outputs) to the program's "outcome" with the aid of the business change manager
+ Manage the main program documentation, such as the Program Initiation document
+ Set yearly plans and goals for the department, give direction on expected performance, provide regular performance evaluations and ongoing feedback. Accountable for all department objectives and achieving agreed targets for key performance indicators.
**Knowledge/Skills/Competencies**
**Technical Understanding:** While not necessarily needing to be a deep expert, program managers should have a good grasp of accelerated compute and AI technologies . This understanding helps in communicating effectively with technical teams and understanding project requirements.
**Project Management:** Strong project management skills are essential to coordinate various aspects of accelerated compute programs, including scope definition, resource allocation, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
**Domain Knowledge:** Depending on the industry the accelerated compute program serves, having domain-specific knowledge can be crucial. Understanding the business context and specific challenges within the industry helps in the execution of server and AI systems programs that truly address the needs of the stakeholders.
**Communication Skills:** Effective communication is key to aligning diverse stakeholders, including technical teams, business leaders, clients, and end-users. Program managers need to translate technical jargon into understandable language for non-technical stakeholders and vice versa. It is imperative that you are able to effectively and concisely communicate program updates, issues and schedule and financial impacts to the leadership team.
**Strategic Thinking:** Our programs often have long-term implications and our Program managers play a critical role in thinking strategically, considering the broader organizational goals and how our programs fit into them. This involves planning for scalability, sustainability, and future advancements in accelerated compute technology.
**Risk Management:** Accelerated compute technologies are fast moving, dynamic with complex interdependencies that is prone to risk. Program managers need to work with various stakeholders to identify and mitigate these risks proactively to ensure project success.
**Team Leadership:** Leading multi-disciplinary teams comprising engineers, domain experts, supply-chain and technology parters requires strong leadership skills. Program managers should inspire and motivate team members, foster collaboration, and resolve conflicts effectively.
**Adaptability:** The field of AI is rapidly evolving, with new technologies and methodologies emerging regularly. Program managers need to stay updated with the latest trends and be adaptable to changes in project requirements or technological advancements.

**Job Description Summary**
The Engineering Program Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and compliance of policies and procedures for the maintenance and operational up-time of a mission critical, mission important, business critical and business important facility's mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life/safety, and Energy Management systems with a strong focus on site operations for our client's global portfolio. Interacts and coordinates with facilities management, engineers, and IT.
This role is responsible for overseeing and carrying out the client's energy objectives, with the ultimate goal of developing and implementing strategies to reduce client's energy and related resource costs. In this capacity, he or she will work to ensure that the client has the best information and recommendations with which to make energy management decisions

+ **Thorough technical knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures for critical operations and related systems, including** _HVAC, UPS, stand-by generators, boilers, fire pumps, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems._
+ Must possess excellent working knowledge and ability to create, review and approve MOP's, SOPs, ESOP/EOP, SOW's and associated JHA
+ Minimum 7 years' experience in industry with five+ years' experience in critical facilities.
+ LEED Accreditation preferred
+ Experience in managing a High-Performance Building Program
+ Working knowledge of Department of Energy (DOE) Energy Star Program
+ Must be able to demonstrate experience in the development and implementation of equipment installation for retro fit for the primary purpose of improving energy efficiency affecting data center/computer lab environments, cooling, refrigeration, building HVAC, and facility lighting.

+ Review engineering and critical operations for large and/or critical sites annually and as required.
+ Work closely and collaboratively with all members of the facility management team to ensure positive and effective communication.
+ Provide matrix level oversight for and advise all technical staff. Work with Facilities Managers to assess and review engineering staff for all sites.
+ Ensure that all critical equipment is maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, local codes, building standards, and Cushman & Wakefield Policies & Procedures.
+ In partnership with Regional Facilities Managers be responsible to the Global Operations Director for budget control and forecasting of contracts and major operations related to critical operations.
+ Provide technical oversight for the design and implementation of the preventative maintenance program in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations, current industry practices, and Cushman & Wakefield's policies and procedures.
+ Maintain effective communications with IT personnel on all work related to critical operations systems.
+ Report abnormal or critical conditions immediately to the relevant C&W Facility Management and Global Operations Director
+ Review all plans for adding or upgrading new equipment, infrastructure, building improvements, and the like, interface with applicable building management and operational staff, provide technical guidance and leadership, and interact and oversee contracted labor and vendors.
+ Develop and deliver training methods, materials and programs related to building operating standards.
+ Provide oversight and guidance for the development of Client's BMS and Energy Intelligence tools and ensure they are being used effectively by the engineering staff. Become an expert in its use.
+ Compile, maintain, and submit monthly critical operations reports for each facility in which critical operations are conducted, and assigned.
**ENERGY MANAGEMENT**
+ This role will lead and coordinate the collection of data, prioritization of opportunities, development of strategies, prioritization of projects, and be CW's single point of responsibility for the achievement of the assigned energy management goals.
+ Develops effective energy management policies for client and recommends changes in energy conservation applications.
+ Analyzes utility bills and energy load profiles for client buildings to determine energy usage trends to actively manage energy costs.
+ Assists in the preparation of the operating and capital budget by projecting resource needs and determining funding priorities for the energy management program.
+ Monitors and analyzes results of energy conservation projects.
+ Work with facilities managers and engineers to ensure all equipment and systems are maintained to the highest level of efficiency practical, to provide optimal environmental conditions within the facility for the minimum expenditure of energy.
+ Coordinates the work of consultants to assist with energy management activities and work projects.
**SUSTAINABILITY**
+ Manages the work of the account's Sustainability staff, and consultants to assist with sustainability activities and work projects.
**IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE**
- 5+ years of related work experience in a critical facilities setting or any similar combination of education or experience
