**Summary**
The Senior Manager, Engineering Program/Project Management is responsible for leading and managing design engineers and other technical engineers working on specific projects. They manage the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex designs. They are responsible for managing large projects with complex scope, multiple streams of work and inter-dependencies.
**Detailed Description**
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
+ Manage multiple high visibility programs (multiple projects per program) of high complexity (technology, organizationally) and/or business impact. Lead Cross-functional, global core team(s), kick off programs, establish schedules and drive meetings.
+ Present to, communicate with and influence segment/LOB business leaders.
+ Lead/develop company wide, cross functional or complex process initiatives or business strategy.
+ Demonstrate ability to grow cross functional team members by identifying development opportunities and coaching Program Core Team members.
+ Present and communicate status to the business leaders and customers. Review and interpret customer specifications and provides customer feedback
+ Coordinate site-wide deployment efforts.
+ Implement change as directed in the product lifecycle process and recommends process improvements
+ Plan the overall program and monitor the progress. Drive the creation, review, approval and update of the Program Plan/WBS including resources.
+ Daily program management throughout the program life
+ Drive the program core team to meet or exceed program objectives (Cost, Quality, Schedule, Features, Fulfillment/Continuity of Supply, Solution delivery across products & service offerings, Customer Specific Needs)
+ Define program governance (controls)
+ Manage the program's budget. Forecast actuals against plan/quote for income/revenue, cost/labour & expense
+ Manage risks and issues and taking corrective measurements
+ Coordinates the projects and their interdependencies. Manage and utilize resources across projects
+ Align the deliverables (outputs) to the program's "outcome" with the aid of the business change manager
+ Manage the main program documentation, such as the Program Initiation document
+ Set yearly plans and goals for the department, give direction on expected performance, provide regular performance evaluations and ongoing feedback. Accountable for all department objectives and achieving agreed targets for key performance indicators.
**Knowledge/Skills/Competencies**
**Technical Understanding:** While not necessarily needing to be a deep expert, program managers should have a good grasp of accelerated compute and AI technologies . This understanding helps in communicating effectively with technical teams and understanding project requirements.
**Project Management:** Strong project management skills are essential to coordinate various aspects of accelerated compute programs, including scope definition, resource allocation, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
**Domain Knowledge:** Depending on the industry the accelerated compute program serves, having domain-specific knowledge can be crucial. Understanding the business context and specific challenges within the industry helps in the execution of server and AI systems programs that truly address the needs of the stakeholders.
**Communication Skills:** Effective communication is key to aligning diverse stakeholders, including technical teams, business leaders, clients, and end-users. Program managers need to translate technical jargon into understandable language for non-technical stakeholders and vice versa. It is imperative that you are able to effectively and concisely communicate program updates, issues and schedule and financial impacts to the leadership team.
**Strategic Thinking:** Our programs often have long-term implications and our Program managers play a critical role in thinking strategically, considering the broader organizational goals and how our programs fit into them. **Team Leadership:** Leading multi-disciplinary teams comprising engineers, domain experts, supply-chain and technology parters requires strong leadership skills. Program managers should inspire and motivate team members, foster collaboration, and resolve conflicts effectively.
**Adaptability:** The field of AI is rapidly evolving, with new technologies and methodologies emerging regularly. Program managers need to stay updated with the latest trends and be adaptable to changes in project requirements or technological advancements.
**Financial Acumen:** Understanding budgeting, resource allocation, and financial implications of AI projects is crucial for program managers to ensure projects are delivered within budget and provide a positive return on investment.

About the job


Responsible to ensure the proper efficient operations and maintenance of the mechanical electrical and plumbing systems for the assigned facility. The performance of all necessary maintenance and operational tasks are developed to assure maximum life and reliability of all mechanical/ electrical/plumbing systems. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES


• Assist with or conduct the daily operations and maintenance of the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and general maintenance requirements for the buildings


• Supervise maintenance staff when applicable and assign, and monitor maintenance activities and projects


• Perform preventive maintenance duties, including changing filters, lubricating motors, replacing lamps, ballasts and fixtures, Inspecting and adjusting belts, replacing motor bearings, aligning shafts, and other inspections and maintenance recommended by equipment manufacturers

• Develop and maintain effective building-specific maintenance procedures

  • Participate in early planning of new projects as well as resourcing and scheduling.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Lead 4-5 concurrent global new product introduction programs, overseeing integrated hardware, and/or software, and/or mechanical product development.
+ Develop and maintain program roadmaps, schedules, and budgets using MS Project, ensuring delivery within defined scope, cost, and time targets.
+ Direct cross-functional engineering and operations teams (10-15+ across multiple sites), ensuring alignment, accountability, and timely execution.
+ Define program scope and manage change control, including negotiations with stakeholders on program contracts and scope variations.
+ Drive commercialization success, ensuring products meet ROI, cost, and business objectives while balancing technical feasibility.
+ Identify and mitigate risks proactively, while capitalizing on opportunities to improve program outcomes.
+ Deliver hardware to manufacturing, ensuring readiness for production and successful design transfer into factory processes.
+ Report program status to senior leadership, providing clear updates on milestones, risks, and financial performance.
+ Ensure compliance with Six Sigma and continuous improvement practices, applying structured problem-solving to strengthen program results.
+ Collaborate with commercial teams and, when required, engage directly with customers to align technical execution with business needs.
**YOU MUST HAVE:**
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
+ 6+ years of program or project management experience in product development.
+ 6+years of experience in marketing and/or developing experience with hardware/software integrated products and global development teams.

+ Six Sigma Greenbelt certification
+ Ability to communicate and work effectively with internal and external customers at all organizational levels
+ Ability to effectively lead, manage, and energize cross-functional teams across multiple sites
+ Ability to quickly assess unclear, complex, and ambiguous situations and reduce into distinct, clear, timely, and stable direction for the development team
+ Ability to negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups; settle differences with minimum noise; win concessions without damaging relationships; be both direct and diplomatic; gain trust quickly of other parties; have a good sense of timing
+ Excellent problem-solving skills
+ Proficiency with MS Project tool, including ability to create and maintain complex schedules,

**IL Salary Range Only:**
The annual base salary range for this position is $179,000-249,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations
