The Construction & Engineering PM at Micron Technology is responsible for leading all aspects of an assigned project to include clarifying and detailing the scope, schedule, and budget! This Project Manager will ensure that the resources needed for a successful project are available and coordinated into the project team! In addition, this position will be responsible for implementing project coordination of all vital project controls to meet the project objectives and ensure team safety.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Ensures project team members use job hazard analysis (JHA/JSA) for work being performed
+ Creates and ensures the project team follows all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws including PPE, CoHE (lockout/tagout) and chemical safety
+ Partners with key team members to develop solutions to continuously improve critical metrics
+ Coordinates with partners and leaders on issues and changes, and provides regular status updates
+ Performs project cost estimates, forecasts, project cash flows and capital budget acquisition and controls project spending against approved budget
+ Uses a systematic project management methodology to develop, prioritize and lead projects
+ Defines and leads sophisticated, multi-disciplinary construction projects of critical importance to Micron
+ Collaborates with Procurement and Global Facilities to run competitive bidding processes aligned to selected project strategy
+ Leads project financials and supervises performance to budget and work in place
+ Handles project roadblocks that arise such as routing, timing, or labor issues
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Relevant degree or appropriate certification/licensing; Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management
+ 5+ years of experience as a primary project manager for highly technical construction projects
+ Experience leading all aspects of an assigned project to include clarifying and detailing the scope, schedule, and budget.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Certification in Business Process Management such as the PMP.

**Job Description**
**AECOM is seeking a Facilities Engineering Construction Manager** to support a five-year, $3.9 billion Capital Improvement Program (CIP) to improve Chicago's water services. AECOM is the world's premier infrastructure consulting firm, partnering with clients to solve the world's most complex challenges and build legacies for generations to come. We work with a wide variety of clients planning, designing, and managing the construction of large- and small-scale water, wastewater, and conveyance projects for federal, state, and municipal agencies and private industry clients.
A highly qualified candidate would be an engineer with construction management experience in large municipal capital improvement programs with Design-Bid-Build delivery mechanism. Experience with managing and collaborating with large joint venture projects is preferred, in addition previous experience with water infrastructure projects is preferred.
The Facilities Engineering Construction Manager will represent the Chicago Department of Water Management (DWM) with oversight to construction of a range of CIP projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Serve as the Construction Manager responsible for supporting DWM with providing oversight on improvement to major water system facilities that include water purification plants; intake structures; pumping stations; reservoirs; hydraulic structures. buildings/structure and large conveyance for raw and finished water supply tunnels.
+ Manage construction of water facilities with multi-disciplinary improvements (e.g., electrical, mechanical, structural, processes and architectural).
+ Provide oversight to electrical/mechanical equipment commissioning.
+ Manage project teams and monitors consultants' compliance with contractual commitments.
+ Manage the process of hiring a resident engineer who are a part of on call engineering firms and field inspector to oversee the construction of projects.
+ Work in conjunction with the Resident Engineer to ensure that the work is being executed and performed with the contract documents.
+ May manage all phases of construction projects (from beginning to close out).
+ Manages the schedule and budget of projects.
+ Coordinates and communicates project progress with the client.
+ Facilitates and resolves project issues and scope changes with design team and the client.
+ Works mostly independently but receives basic instruction on specific assignments, objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.
+ Monitors and reports financial and completion status of projects to client.
+ Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects.
+ Involves occasional field work at facilities related to design and construction projects.
+ Manages one or more moderately complex design projects, involving coordination of multiple engineering disciplines, consultants and/or various agencies.

What you need to succeed:

The Engineering Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing support to the engineering leadership teams. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the development of publications for new and existing technical specifications, reports, manuals, presentations, procedures and other documents in support of new commercial nuclear reactor projects. Coordinators will be responsible for planning, running and closing out follow-up actions for different engineering meetings. They will work in our collaboration tools and developing ways to streamline the way teams work. In this position you will also coordinate with and acting as a liaison between the GEV engineering teams and our internal and external engineering partners.

Essential Responsibilities
As the Engineer Project Coordinator, you will:

Report solid line to the Manager Workforce Planning and Scheduling.

Be accountable for on-time delivery of products and support.
-
Establish and maintain strong working relationship with engineering managers, project engineers and other stakeholders.

Interface with external as required on technical issues.
-
Plan, organize and coordinate technical activities/tasks in support of engineering deliverables.
-
Support commercial and marketing opportunities to develop new business opportunities.
-
Protect the Intellectual Property rights of GEV.
-
Support GEV initiatives, process improvement and simplification.
-
Support GEV Nuclear Energy quality requirements.
-
Ensure adherence to GEV's standards for nuclear safety and compliance.
-
Streamline, integrate and develop team technical information sharing processes across GEV and our external partners to better support business through application of Lean principles.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma/GED.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in a business environment.

The base pay range for this position is $86K - $112K. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 8/28/25.
The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
