The Senior QA tester role is a critical function within the QA team. Reporting directly to the QA Lead/QA Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with the external Deployment Project Manager, Producer, Product Manager, external Dev team, and the engineering teams to ensure best in class test coverage for Scopely projects. You’re a master of communication and bug finding wizard - able to both help coordinate a legion of testers with delegated tasks as well as roll up your own sleeves to take on the solo mission of assisting our cross-functional teams as an autonomous, expert QA specialist.

You will be responsible for many facets of the QA process, from authoring test cases to creating and executing test scripts for new features. During the design phase of new product features, you will also be expected to provide insight as to potential edge case issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities
• Software Testing including Functional, Exploratory, Usability, Compatibility, Usability and Regression testing.
• Familiarize yourself with the goals and testing strategy of every project you work on and identify any problems that could impact testing before the project commences.
• Use established and innovative methods to identify high value defects, minimizing the number of invalid and duplicate defects found.
• Create concise bug reports, including root cause analysis.
• Execute test cases accurately and efficiently.
• Managing your workload as assigned by the QA Lead and supporting other team members with their workload as required.
• Communicate quality risks and dependencies in a timely manner to ensure that they have visibility and are addressed.
• Share your insights as to the playability of a title.
• Propose solutions to improve the team’s way of working.
• Maintain test cases to improve test case execution efficiency and test coverage.
• Support the onboarding of new testers.
• Coach and mentor less experienced testers to increase the teams overall testing capabilities and expertise.
• Passion for games of all genres and all platforms (mobile, PC and console).
• English proficiency (B2 level or above) – spoken and written.
• Desire to build a career in the gaming industry and learn the ins and outs of how a game is made.

• 2+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance Processes and Methodologies in gaming on at least 3 titles (mobile/PC/console).
• Experienced in end-to-end testing of a game across all phases of its development.
• Experience in test planning strategies and maintaining test cases.
• Strong aptitude for identifying high value defects using domain expertise across platforms and genres. Creates excellent defect reports including any supporting information required to debug and prioritize a defect.
• Excellent attention to detail in test case execution and displays creativity and curiosity in non-scripted testing activities.
• Effective workload management and has the capability to quickly adapt to changing project priorities.
• Proficient in the use of testing tools e.g., JIRA, Test Cases Management Tool, MS Excel, basic SQL commands.
• Stays up to date with the latest trends of QA / Software testing.

• Experience with multiplatform games.
• Familiarity with Unity basics.
• Experience with Google Play and App Store Connect Consoles.
• Experience with first party requirements on Console.

EDUCATION: University degree in engineering (Electrotechnical preferred)

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8+ years of experience in large scale engineering projects
  • A strong track record in project delivery or in supporting complex Project management involving installations across hydrocarbon forecourts, industrial and public installations
  • Experience of performance management of engineering complex projects. 
  • Experience of supervising work delivered though EPC contractors
  • Extensive major project experience with strong design engineering/procurement background
  • Extensive experience delivering HSSE performance.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  • Strong planning and organizing ability
  • Good understanding of business drivers and the ability to align design philosophies

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  • Professional Engineer or equivalent (working towards with imminent application would be considered)
  • Experience leading multi-cultural teams
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate engineering on projects covering different countries and use cases
  • Broad professional experience in engineering and project management delivery. 
  • Sound knowledge of EV charging technology and thorough understanding of the operation and structures of charging networks and how they are integrated.
  • Direct experience of industry standards in the EV space.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance (QA) – Process/System-Focused

  • Develop and maintain a compliant Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820.
  • Lead internal and external audits; manage CAPA processes and follow-up activities.
  • Conduct risk assessments (e.g., PFMEA) and ensure integration of quality in product development and manufacturing.
  • Write, revise, and control SOPs, work instructions, forms, and quality records.
  • Support equipment and process validations (IQ, OQ, PQ) for tubing manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
  • Manage CAPA processes: initiate, investigate, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Production, R&D) to identify critical-to-quality (CTQ) parameters and ensure product quality.
  • Maintain and organize Device History Records (DHRs), Device Master Records (DMRs), and training logs.

Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE):

  • Qualify and onboard new suppliers; perform supplier audits and evaluations.
  • Define incoming inspection requirements and ensure component conformance.
  • Manage supplier non-conformances; initiate and follow through on SCARs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on process improvements and corrective actions.

Quality Control (QC) – Product-Focused

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of extruded, shrink, and braided tubing.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) and maintain inspection records.
  • Develop test methods and protocols for product performance and reliability.
  • Monitor production quality metrics (e.g., scrap rate, yield, defect rate).
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment.
  • Use precision measurement tools (micrometers, laser micrometers, pin gauges, tensile testers, etc.).
  • Monitor visual and dimensional quality to ensure conformance to specifications and customer requirements.
  • Initiate and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and assist in root cause analysis.
  • Maintain calibration logs and ensure metrology equipment is accurate and up-to-date.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a QA/SQE/QC role in the medical device industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with catheter manufacturing processes, especially extrusion, shrink tubing, or braiding, is a strong plus.
  • Solid understanding of ISO 13485 and FDA QSR (21 CFR Part 820) requirements.
  • Experience with quality tools: CAPA, FMEA, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Hands-on experience with inspection techniques and equipment.

  • Develop and maintain a compliant Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820.
  • Lead internal and external audits; manage CAPA processes and follow-up activities.
  • Conduct risk assessments (e.g., PFMEA) and ensure integration of quality in product development and manufacturing.
  • Write, revise, and control SOPs, work instructions, forms, and quality records.
  • Support equipment and process validations (IQ, OQ, PQ) for tubing manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
  • Manage CAPA processes: initiate, investigate, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Production, R&D) to identify critical-to-quality (CTQ) parameters and ensure product quality.
  • Maintain and organize Device History Records (DHRs), Device Master Records (DMRs), and training logs.

Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE):

  • Qualify and onboard new suppliers; perform supplier audits and evaluations.
  • Define incoming inspection requirements and ensure component conformance.
  • Manage supplier non-conformances; initiate and follow through on SCARs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on process improvements and corrective actions.

Quality Control (QC) Product-Focused

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of extruded, shrink, and braided tubing.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) and maintain inspection records.
  • Develop test methods and protocols for product performance and reliability.
  • Monitor production quality metrics (e.g., scrap rate, yield, defect rate).
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment.
  • Use precision measurement tools (micrometers, laser micrometers, pin gauges, tensile testers, etc.).
  • Monitor visual and dimensional quality to ensure conformance to specifications and customer requirements.
  • Initiate and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and assist in root cause analysis.
  • Maintain calibration logs and ensure metrology equipment is accurate and up-to-date.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Materials Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a QA/SQE/QC role in the medical device industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with catheter manufacturing processes, especially extrusion, shrink tubing, or braiding, is a strong plus.
  • Solid understanding of ISO 13485 and FDA QSR (21 CFR Part 820) requirements.
  • Experience with quality tools: CAPA, FMEA, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Hands-on experience with inspection techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with catheter manufacturing processes.
  • ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Mandarin speaking is a plus


Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment, requiring adherence to safety protocols.

May involve standing for extended periods and lifting materials as needed.
