Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Civil Engineer to support our engineering team in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects such as roads, bridges, buildings, and water systems.
- Prepare drawings, specifications, and cost estimates under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Support the preparation of project documentation, reports, and technical presentations.
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, and other professionals involved in a project.
- Perform basic calculations for load, grade, water flow rates, and material stress levels.
- Use CAD software and other engineering tools for drafting and modeling.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and budgeting activities.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in civil engineering or internship/co-op.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar engineering software.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction methods.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification is a plus.
Preferred Qualities:
- Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

What You’ll Do:
As a Civil Engineer , you will contribute to a variety of projects across multiple disciplines. Responsibilities include:
- Performing civil design calculations and technical analyses
- Drafting and designing using AutoCAD/Civil 3D
- Preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Conducting construction inspection & administration
- Analyzing and modeling public infrastructure systems (water, sewer, stormwater)
- Writing technical reports and communicating project details effectively

- Water & wastewater treatment systems

What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for motivated engineers who are passionate about civil design and problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have:
- B.S. in Engineering (Civil focus preferred) from an accredited university
- Three to six years of experience as a civil engineer.
- EIT certification required , PE preferred
- Exceptional communication skills and a strong team-oriented mindset
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Strong technical writing & verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail, quality, and meeting deadlines
- Experience living or working in Montana is a plus
