Job Summary: As our Lean Manufacturing Engineer you will be a key change agent, responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing lean manufacturing processes. Your primary mission will be to identify and eliminate waste, optimize workflow, and improve overall efficiency in our electronics manufacturing operations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3 to 5 years of proven experience applying lean manufacturing methodologies in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the electronics or aerospace industry.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) is highly desirable.
  • Mastery in the application of Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke and Kanban.
  • Speak and write both English and Spanish.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO9000 and AS9100 quality standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, etc.) and statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab).

Finally, you will develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of improvements, train staff in lean principles and tools, and act as a mentor to foster a continuous improvement mindset throughout the operation.

Reporting directly to the Surgical Vision Global Implant Platform Engineering Director, the Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineering Director will be responsible for leading and directing all engineering & technology activities within the Anasco, Puerto Rico, Surgical Vision Manufacturing sites while actively participating in Implant Platform Engineering initiatives.
The core purpose of the role is to behave and act as a CREDO leader in leading and running the Supply Chain Engineering team to deliver engineering strategies and technologies to support the delivery of new and existing Implant products (Intraocular Lens, Cartridges, Sheet Casting Buttons, and any other product deemed appropriate for manufacture at the designated facility), at the right quality, quantity, time and cost, to our customers.
The successful candidate will also be a member of the Anasco Site Leadership Team (SLT) and the Global Implant Platform Engineering Leadership Team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and golf course maintenance support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment across all maintenance disciplines.
  • Plan, schedule, and supervise the work of the maintenance teams, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and timely completion of tasks for both the resort and the golf club.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, provide performance feedback, and identify training needs specific to resort and golf course maintenance.

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for resort buildings, equipment, and golf course infrastructure (e.g., irrigation systems, pumps, maintenance equipment) to minimize downtime, extend asset lifespan, and optimize operational efficiency across the entire property.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property and equipment (including golf course-specific equipment) to identify potential issues and proactively address them.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in maintenance management, with experience in both hospitality/resort and golf course maintenance operations strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading diverse maintenance teams, including those with golf course-specific expertise.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, life safety) and golf course infrastructure (irrigation, drainage, pumps).
  • Familiarity with golf course maintenance equipment and practices is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets effectively for multiple operational areas.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices relevant to both resort and golf course environments.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Provides support and/or lead teams through the Engineering development process and implementation of company's products. Projects are typically shorter-term, less complex and more contained with a defined time frame. Programs are typically longer-term, multi-functional, multi-project with complex requirements and effort. Manage activities, resource capability, schedules, budgets, and ensure cross company communications to facilitate product completion on schedule within budget. Work with engineering management to identify and improve process and program efficiencies. Work can involve external parties such as standards bodies, partners, etc.

Management Level Definition:

Contributions include applying developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommending alternatives where necessary. Might act as project lead and provide assistance to lower level professionals. Exercises independent judgment and consults with others to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

In a typical day as a Engineering Program Manager, you would.

  • Manages and leads a program involving one or more functions and project teams to drive the engineering development and implementation process for networking interconnects products.
  • Develop detailed project plans, budgets, schedules, and milestones for the design, development, qualification, and release of interconnect products.
  • Coordinates activities of supporting project teams and internal and external development partners; tracks progress against established plan and makes decisions to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet product requirements and development schedule.
  • Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with management and manufacturing and development partners to implement changes to product, process, or program plan to resolve escalated issues, produce solutions, and ensure adherence to budgets and established product roadmaps and schedules.
  • Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
  • PMP/PMI certification preferred.
  • Typically 4-6 years experience.

  • Experienced with program planning tools and software packages (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira) and methodologies (Agile, SCRUM) to create, manage and track project results.
  • Understanding of interconnect technologies, including signal integrity, high-speed data transmission, and industry standards (e.g., Ethernet, PCIe, QSFP, SFP).
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and directing matrixed teams and resources.
  • Ability to create and manage program schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.

**Purpose:**

+ _Chemical/Plastics/Materials Engineering_ - Opportunity to work on a variety of engineering assignments utilizing a wide range of engineering principles. Assist with planning development and design of materials, equipment, and/or processes. Review progress and evaluate results of multiple projects across various disciplines. Partner with teams of engineers and technicians as necessary to achieve project completion. Assist with facilitating and conducting engineering assignments.
**_Materials/Polymer Science_**
+ Investigate the interaction of various chemical components and their impact on finished medical devices. Project work may include formulations, photo-initiated polymerization, device processing of finished product, raw material analysis, and characterization of the finished device. Projects may involve a combination of chemical handling, blending, and device characterization. Chemistry or Material Science students are preferred. Completion of Organic Chemistry, Polymer Science, and/or Chemistry courses are preferred.
**Qualifications / Requirements:**
+ Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at accredited University is required.
+ Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master´s degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Polymer Science/Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials or Plastics/Engineering /Injection Molding, or related field is required.
+ Minimum GPA of 2.8 is required.
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
+ Verbal and written communication skills in English.
+ Must be able to provide their own transportation and it is required to be onsite 5 days a week.
+ Demonstrated leadership and/or participation in campus/community service activities is preferred.
+ Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
