Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking experienced Civil Engineering Technologist or Technician focusing on Mission Critical Data Center projects within our Community Development Group. Within this team, you will have the opportunity to work on Data Center projects of various sizes across the country. The Mission Critical space requires a very proactive, responsive, and efficient design team with projects serving Fortune 10 companies who are making headlines with transformational projects. For the right candidate, there is the potential for this to be a remote work position.
The engineers on this team are a core design group dedicated to serving Data Center clients and similar major commercial programs. The projects they work on require a variety and diverse set of skills to assist our clients with site due diligence, design, entitlement approvals, permitting, and construction. Within this team you will be exposed to different design requirements across multiple geographic regions as well as different Mission Critical and commercial projects of various sizes and operational needs.
This position involves working collaboratively within the Mission Critical core design team, project partners, and various different services in the development of private civil site designs; construction plans and specifications; preparing reports, studies, and construction contract documents; computing quantities and preparing opinions of cost; performing field observations and assisting in the coordination and management of construction activities.
Your Key Responsibilities

Support engineering projects working directly with engineers, project managers, and design team members

Deliver high quality drafting of engineering drawings and exhibits

Assist with maintaining and further developing drafting standards, mentoring staff, and implement industry leaching technology with respect to CADD and design software

Draft plans for civil and related discipline design projects utilizing AutoDesk Civil 3D.

Perform site grading analysis and calculations utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D; prepare street and utility plan and profiles, project details, and quantity take offs.

Work independently and collaboratively to complete project timelines and requirements

Assist civil engineers with site design, utility design, grading, and overall plan production.

Manages deadlines and prioritizes assignments; able to work on multiple projects as schedules dictate

Assists with the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.

Utilizes technologies in development of three-dimensional models of civil systems.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Use technical and communication abilities to assist with completing the civil component of a wide variety of projects in a dynamic design team setting.
- Perform construction observation for project compliance with project documents and engineering principals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Engineering Change Notice (ECN) Implementation: ? Records, verifies and reconciles engineering change notices into SAP. ? Creates and updates all documentation in SAP. ? Create, maintain and distributes documentation, including product development requests, deviations and engineering change notices to required departments and follows up on the execution.
2. Administration Support: ? Maintains the log of marketing requests. ? Maintains office supplies and equipment in the department. ? Create, maintain and distributes departmental reports as needed. ? Responds to various departments' non-technical questions and issues.
3. Department Filing: ? Maintains patent file and agency standards for Design Engineering and Research and Development. ? Maintains electronic hardware standards.
Qualifications:
1. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
2. A minimum of 1 year of BOM structure knowledge and exposure. Three (3) years of experience is preferred.
3. Experience reading blueprints.
4. Proficient computer skills including Word and Excel.
5. Minimum 2 years of experience with SAP.
Physical Demands and/or Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to use a computer and telephone. Frequent sitting, talking, hearing, and occasionally stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift (10 lbs.), and an ability to adjust vision for close vision work. Up to 10% of time spent in manufacturing environments around industrial equipment. Able to travel up to 5% to other Company locations.

Job Description
The Engineering Analyst supports engineering activities such as CAD design and mechanical layouts, test, and modifying applications. Design, defines, and implements complex system requirements for customers and/or prepares studies and analyzes existing systems. Determines system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions. You will report to the Engineering Team Lead.
Your Responsibilities:
- Individual responsible for Bill of Material creation and panel layouts for system hardware.
- Finalize system schematics, assignment of wire numbers, selection of wire type/gauge.
- Support engineering in the design of control, drives and automation systems working in a project team environment.
- Perform detailed hardware layouts and create manufacturing release packages.
- Provide updates to project manager/leader on status of activities.
- Performance to schedule and performance to budget for self and other less-experienced engineers.
- May participate in project meetings, production handover, and continuous improvement projects.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- 4 year degree (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Ability to design utilizing ACAD electrical and experience with 3D CAD, Creo, and Solidworks.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in control systems engineering related to variable speed drives and industrial automation systems.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in electrical design, with emphasis in schematics and panel layout generation.
- Must be available and willing to work overtime in order to meet customer project commitments.
- Must perform duties in the office, that is co-located in the manufacturing plant, as part of a project team.
- Expected to support group projects going through manufacturing.
- Must be able to work in a project driven environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged.
- Previous experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Prior experience using programmable controllers, numerical controls, computers or motor controls and drives in industrial automation control systems.

We are seeking a skilled Prototype Development Technician to assist in the creation of prototypes for new product development. This role involves bringing products from concept design through prototyping, development, testing, and verification/validation phases.
Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with the New Product Development team to solve problems and produce high-quality parts and prototypes in a timely fashion.
+ Utilize proper machining techniques and general shop equipment within a prototype setting.
+ Accurately read and comprehend engineering drawings and specifications.
+ Perform CAM or Conversational CNC programming.
+ Maintain an adequate inventory of shop supplies, raw materials, and tooling to meet scheduled needs.
+ Ensure adherence to all safety procedures.

Essential Skills
