This position can be located at either site and will be empowered to lead a small systems engineering team.
The Systems Engineering Manager will focus on implementing value-added systems engineering processes across the engineering department. In this role, you will:
+ Mentor other engineers in the application of system engineering principles.
+ Provide guidance and support for project design reviews (system requirements, preliminary design, critical design, test readiness review, etc.).
+ Decompose top-level requirements and flow requirements into designs.
+ Work closely with Project Engineers, Functional Engineering Managers and Engineers to develop requirements management including traceability and performance metrics.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Proven track record of successful management of system engineering processes in a project environment.
+ Working knowledge of project planning and management including use of PM software such as MS Project.
+ Understanding and appreciation of the System Engineering process and its impact across functional boundaries to achieve balanced technical performance, cost, and schedule.
+ Able to talk with engineers of different disciplines and maintain a good relationship with our government customer.

The pay for this position ranges from $21.00/hr - $34.00/hr based on years of undergraduate /graduate field of study completed.
This position is also eligible for:
+ Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
+ Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern's permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
