**Job Summary**
Our Energy Division team is currently seeking a paid **Chemical Engineering Intern for Summer 2026** . This position is for hourly work, up to 40 hours per week, beginning in May 2026. This position is onsite located at our headquarters in **Columbus, Ohio. The application deadline is November 15, 2025 or until filled.**
**Responsibilities**
+ Follow established test procedures to conduct laboratory and pilot scale testing
+ Draft test plans, specify, assemble and operate laboratory and bench scale test equipment
+ Generate, capture, analyze, and report defensible technical data
+ Perform modeling to support process design and scale-up
+ Support research for the evaluation of new technologies including recovery of rare earth elements, carbon capture, hydrogen technologies, and chemical processing.
**Key Qualifications**
+ Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an ABET-accredited Chemical Engineering program with at least 18 months of college experience completed
+ Related work experience (paid or unpaid) in the engineering discipline
+ Experience working in a lab environment, including preparing, conducting, and documenting tests
+ Experience with ChemCAD or Aspen modeling software
+ Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
+ Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
+ Positive attitude and eagerness to take on technical challenges
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Excel and PowerPoint
+ Physical requirements necessary
+ Must be US person as defined by US export laws

About the Position:
Civil Engineering Technicians perform full time material testing and inspection on heavy commercial construction projects. Daily tasks can include sampling and testing of fresh concrete, compaction testing of soils and soil aggregates, reinforcing steel inspection for reinforced concrete structures, testing and inspection of spray applied fireproofing, observation and testing for shallow foundations, deep foundations, and ground improvement systems.
Our Civil Engineering Technicians work independently, coordinating inspection activities with project leadership and site personnel. Proper documentation and acute attention to detail helps keep projects on track, and provide assurance to owners and end users that the project was completed per design and specification requirements. Technicians must prioritize tasks and communicate observations and/or test results in a professional manner.
Previous experience is desired, but not required.

The Civil Engineering Field Tech is responsible for the gathering, organizing, and execution of construction documents for Telecommunication Infrastructure projects. Role Qualifications:
