Job Summary
Responsible for the overall leadership and management for a manufacturing facility predictive and preventative maintenance programs. Provides support to achieve goals established for the manufacturing process. Plans and directs all aspects of engineering services activities with an organization. Ensures all engineering services projects, initiatives and processes are in conformance with organization's established policies and objectives.
MAIN POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provide technical engineering services at a glass container manufacturing facility.
- Review and audit mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic system operations, processes and procedures.

- Manages operating budget for department and facility capital projects.

EMPLOYEE QUALIFICATIONS :
BS/BA Degree in Electrical Engineering with strong electronics background.
Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electronics, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
7+ years' experience in maintenance management role in a manufacturing environment.
Familiar with a variety of the engineering and maintenance concepts, practices and procedures.
Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.

You will be a critical part of our flange-to-flange core compressor organization, with your broad background, you will build and optimize solutions that meet or exceed our customer requirements and expectations and improve our ability to meet our committed delivery dates.
You will be an assertive but flexible part of our team that collaborates with the sales, marketing, project management, manufacturing and engineering to determine creative ways to meet the schedules of our rapidly growing business where customers have somewhat rigid requirements.
**How You'll Make an Impact**
+ Strategic planning using a slot planning method for an engineering organization and customer orders of engineered products
+ Develop and maintain static and transient engineering projects to support throughput, backlog and forecast. There can be 200+ active engineering projects at one time where durations can be from several months to years.
+ Strong analytical skills, including ability to recognize, analyze and recommend alternative solutions to problems and issues.
+ Run multiple load scenarios to balance priorities, load and time constraints
+ Interface with adjacent groups such as commercial, project management, product engineering and drafting and manufacturing
+ Attend global and regional S&OP meetings. Represent Product Engineering and drafting in S&OP meetings and meetings with adjacent groups.
+ Gather and analyze data from various sources to determine required time to perform a task. Perform a statistical analysis and identify possible causes and opportunities for improvements.
**What You Bring**
+ Bachelor's degree desired, Associate's degree required.
+ 5 years of proven track record scheduling and planning for an engineering organization for a custom engineered product line. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level.
+ Strong computer skills. excellent verbal, written communication and program solving skills. MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and others. Working knowledge of cloud-based file sharing platforms such as SharePoint and OneDrive is an advantage.
+ Familiarization with rotating machinery / turbomachinery such as centrifugal/radial compressors, axial compressors, expanders, steam turbines, e.g. Turbo Compressor Brands in portfolio: Dresser-Rand / Clark / Ingersoll-Rand, Cooper, Rolls-Royce, Demag, DeLaval is a plus

**Position Purpose**
Focus will be the development of robust precision machine systems that provide significant competitive advantage to Corning's businesses, and / or enable new products and product lines (prototype, and production capable machines)?
**Requirements**
+ Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Precision Engineering discipline (B.S. minimum) or related
+ 5+ years of engineering experience
+ Strong understanding of precision engineering principles
+ Experience in designing and building precision motion systems
+ Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, & Inventor)
+ Must be available for significant travel, primarily domestic, to multiple locations to support business needs
**Desired**
+ Proficiency with metrology tools and techniques (e.g., CMM, laser interferometer)
+ Strong knowledge of precision machining techniques and materials.

+ Track record of researching prior art and documenting Intellectual Property
**Responsibilities**
+ Interface with the R, D, E and M teams that are involved in the innovation and manufacture of new products and machine systems for any of Corning's Businesses
+ Design and analysis of first generation /next generation products, machines, machine fixturing and machine components from a robustness of design perspective
+ Work with other project team members on solving difficult mechanical engineering related problems
+ Develop deep understanding of process requirements to influence equipment design functionality & performance
+ Integrate commercially available technologies and processes and effectively leverage external machine builders and system integrators
+ Utilize internal lab facilities and equipment to develop proof of concept prototypes
+ Work closely with multidisciplinary teams controls & process engineers, optical & glass scientists
+ Travel may be required during installation, debug, and start-up and for routine interaction with internal and external customers and suppliers

The range for this position is $94,161.00 - $129,472.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. **Position Purpose**
An excellent opportunity to be part of Corning Incorporated's key technology organizations supporting the deployment of new, innovative, and challenging technologies. Members of the Capital Projects and Facilities engineering team are responsible for the scoping, detailed design, and construction of facilities, expansion, and new equipment lines across the entire company.
**Requirements**
+ Bachelors' in Electrical Engineering required
+ 10+ years of relevant experience in the power field
+ Experience designing, building, and analyzing industrial equipment (transformers, switchgear, UPS, ATS, or similar), industrial control panels or industrial machinery
+ Very Knowledgeable of MV and LV facility electrical power systems, power system control design and analysis, including experience with solid-state components (SCRs, IGBTs, etc.)
+ Experience conducting failure analysis, autopsies, and providing guidance on troubleshooting electrical equipment
+ Experience conducting short circuit current calculations, protection and coordination studies, Arc Flash studies, and system reliability calculations
+ Ability to scope and define projects, develop cost models, and resource plans, develop project timelines, develop project metrics, and then execute the project, to include commissioning and turnover
**Responsibilities**
+ Design and implement electrical power systems for facility expansions, equipment installs, or greenfield facilities.
+ Implement robust, reliable, and cost-effective electrical power systems.
+ Participate in all phases of the project including design, fabrication, integration and testing, installation, production start-up support, and training of plant personnel.
+ Manage the electrical engineering scope of process improvements, capital expansion, and power reliability projects.
+ Lead failure analysis and troubleshooting of electrical equipment.
**Desired**
+ Experience conducting factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), failure and root cause analysis of high-power industrial control cabinets and transformers
+ Knowledge of power system reliability calculations in combination with system automation, maintenance programs and operations
+ Proficiency in failure analysis of electrical equipment
+ Useable knowledge of national and international standards and equipment (NFPA 70B, NFPA 79, IEC 60204-1, GB 5226.1, IEEE 493, NETA ATS, NETA MTS, and similar)
+ Experience mentoring junior engineers in technology and career growth
+ Professional Engineer or willing to obtain licensure
