What You’ll Do as a Transportation Project Manager

• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, subconsultants and agencies to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Successfully lead projects from initial setup through planning, safety analysis, and project kick-off.
• Manage project budgets, scope, schedule, and staffing to stay on plan.
• Oversee project billing, client updates, QA/QC of deliverables, and project closeout.
• Lead transportation design projects, ensuring compliance with industry, regulation, and safety standards.

• 10+ years transportation design engineering and project management experience

• Assist in testing procedures and equipment such as gradations, proctors, nuclear density gauges, DCP field testing, sand cone density testing, field concrete testing, and concrete cylinder testing.

Work Environment

+ Set-up and utilize a variety of test equipment for completion of daily requirements
+ Inspect incoming radios for compliance and acceptability
+ Test units at component, sub-assembly, and system level configurations
+ Follow defined procedures for test of assemblies
+ Complete the testing of both printed circuit boards and radio assemblies
+ Ability to troubleshoot PCBA to component level
+ Diagnose, troubleshoot, and isolate faults with electronic and electro-optical assemblies
+ Document investigation of PCBA/Radio assemblies to determine failure and what needs to be to remedy the situation.

Our Geotechnical department is looking for an Engineering Technician candidate to support our growing team in Rochester, NY. This employee will be an entry level. Salary is $17.50/Hour.

Duties:

• Perform visual classification and laboratory testing of soil samples collected during the subsurface investigation.
• Perform geotechnical field services, which may include subsurface exploration layouts and geophysical surveys.
• Prepare subsurface exploration logs for use in geotechnical evaluations and reports.

Requirements

• 0 - 3 years of progressive experience in the geotechnical field.
• Prior experience in a geotechnical laboratory is but not required.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) is but not required.
• Driver's license required.
• Position will require out of town field work based on workload (approximately 20-40%)
• Position will require ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess a high capacity for self-motivation.
• Ability to apply engineering principles to a variety of geotechnical projects.

Salary Range: $17.50 per hour

Description
Critical materials testing and observation services on projects involving roadways, bridges, airports, large commercial developments, remediation, etc. Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g. soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel). Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed in accordance with training and the specified procedures. Provides clear documentation of findings and results. Performs basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before communication and submittal to the Project Manager. Communicates information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed by the PM. Has experience and proficiency in multiple areas of field testing and inspection and or laboratory testing May train lower level technicians May lead the activities of other engineering technicians in the laboratory or on larger field projects. Maintains equipment and calibration.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis. Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observation in the form of written and digital reports as work is performed for daily transmittal to the Project Manager. Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas. May assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites. Adhere to strict safety standards. Drive a vehicle such as a Ford F-150 or equivalent.

The pay range for this position is $21.75 - $32.00/hr.
