For the right candidate, there is the potential for this to be a remote work position. The engineers on this team are a core design group dedicated to serving Data Center clients and similar major commercial programs. The projects they work on require a variety and diverse set of skills to assist our clients with site due diligence, design, entitlement approvals, permitting, and construction. Within this team you will be exposed to different design requirements across multiple geographic regions as well as different Mission Critical and commercial projects of various sizes and operational needs. This position involves working collaboratively within the Mission Critical core design team, project partners, and various different services in the development of private civil site designs; construction plans and specifications; preparing reports, studies, and construction contract documents; computing quantities and preparing opinions of cost; performing field observations and assisting in the coordination and management of construction activities. Your Key Responsibilities - Support engineering projects working directly with engineers, project managers, and design team members - Deliver high quality drafting of engineering drawings and exhibits - Assist with maintaining and further developing drafting standards, mentoring staff, and implement industry leaching technology with respect to CADD and design software - Draft plans for civil and related discipline design projects utilizing AutoDesk Civil 3D. - Perform site grading analysis and calculations utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D; prepare street and utility plan and profiles, project details, and quantity take offs. - Work independently and collaboratively to complete project timelines and requirements - Assist civil engineers with site design, utility design, grading, and overall plan production. - Manages deadlines and prioritizes assignments; able to work on multiple projects as schedules dictate - Assists with the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats. - Utilizes technologies in development of three-dimensional models of civil systems. - Coordinates with other disciplines to ensure compatibility with the design intent. The Engineering Supervisor, Smart Handling Mechanical reports to the AGV Engineer Manager for Smart Handling vehicle development. **Who You Are**
**Required Qualifications**

Meet The Team:

The Simulation organization builds and delivers a software ecosystem and infrastructure to run millions of simulations at scale to ensure that Torcs AV system handles complex driving situations safely and efficiency. We are looking for a seasoned leader that will bring new ideas, optimizations, and best practices for building and operating this complex ecosystem of partner tools and in-house applications. As a director, you will work closely with managers and engineers to improve the capabilities and performance of the simulation platforms that support the development of high-quality safety-critical software.

What Youll Do:

  • Oversee and drive the development, maintenance, and integration of scalable, high-fidelity simulation platforms to support perception, planning and control testing and capability exploration across millions of scenarios.
  • Establish clear metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness, efficiency and trustworthiness of the simulation platforms to ensure that it delivers measurable value to AV development.
  • Lead and grow multi-disciplinary and high-performing teams of engineers and researchers specializing in sensor simulation, cloud infrastructure, scenario definitions and test evaluation.
  • Drive efforts in sim-to-real transfer and synthetic data generation to improve ML model performance.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, integrating third-part tools and platforms where appropriate to enhance internal capabilities and accelerate development.
  • Guide the team to set, track, and achieve goals aligned with the company-wide vision, roadmap, and initiatives.
  • Identify future growth plan to support organizational needs and partner with People Operations and Talent Acquisition to lead organizational development and hiring.

What Youll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience with at least 3-5 years in an engineering management or leadership role.
  • Proven success leading teams that work with cloud infrastructure at scale (AWS, Azure, GCP) and manage complex vendor evaluation and integration.
  • Familiarity with software development and infrastructure at scale, including modern software development practices, distributed systems and cloud computing.
  • Ability to communicate actionable insights using data to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Critical/logical thinking to identify problems and provide solutions to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality.
  • Ability to effectively manage a team of managers and professionals and identify opportunities to grow and develop the team.

Role: Application Engineering Specialist

Mission/Purpose: Lead product design, performance, and reliability of new Frame or Cradle structural products programs, through a coordinated interface with the customer and with internal company resources to ensure product meet time and quality requirements.

What does a day-in-the-life look like?
  • To Be the liaison for Customer Engineering on Structural products and all product related issues to understand design priorities and manage engineering programs and projects, propose solutions within current team or redirect to proper department
  • To Consolidate agreements with customer and plant to determine design, performance, and dimensional requirements for Structural products follow to (MES).
  • To Generate design improvements ideas to achieve lighter weight, stronger, better performing, and lower cost designs through brainstorming workshop or regular meetings with MDT.
  • To Support new product launch activity at the customer and at Metalsa facilities following MES and information generated by the plant, activity includes to mention a few but not limited to:
  • Weld quality visual inspection and length vs weld document
  • Ensure build level to release
  • Dimensional reports are compliant to Customer general GD&T
  • Hole inspection for presence, added and or removed parts
  • To Support other technical department activity and communicate overall activities and status such testing updates, Prototypes Status, to mention a few.
  • To Manage Design Release Package (BOM, 3D 2D etc.), by using Metalsa Project System to ensure product launch in quality and time.
  • To Approve or reject Deviations (with AE Co. supervision) from manufacturing process following Metalsa Quality Standards to track changes versus original design by using CAE, statistic, tolerance dimensional to mention a few.
  • To Support to Innovation, DFSS, De-couple projects by follow up with multidisciplinary teams in order to meet project objectives in time and quality.
  • To Lead Product verification workshop according to MPS to ensure feasible product.
  • To Support quotation process, service parts, on early stages by providing documentation and interaction with multidisciplinary teams.
  • To Monitor Design KPI, and provide Design and Development Engineering performance data for Quality Management System (MPS) according with Technical Process Sheet to track our Quality System deliverables all programs on OEM (Chief) Per program (AE)
  • To This position must be able to perform the activities of the Application Engineer role or any other activities that the company requires to fulfill customer program expectations.
