Oversee lab simulator operations for NAVAIR's F/A-18 Lab-Facilities Team.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide technical support and customer service to engineers and lab users that conduct system integrator tests for F/A-18 and EA-18G development.
- Troubleshoot F/A-18 avionic systems and restore lab simulator functionality in the event of failure or component discrepancies.
- Work on a tech team that multitasks during high operational tempo: perform technical and logistic tasks while supporting multiple lab users in test with a quality customer service attitude.
- Routinely schedule lab tests and coordinate assets per specific user requests in a secure testing environment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on wire bundles, connectors, RF cables, and fiber-optic lines for avionics and weapons integration lab equipment.

Required Skills:

- High School graduate with 7 years of relevant experience or 5 years of experience with certified training at US Navy "A" School for Aviation or commercial avionics technical school.
- Must be able to be granted a security clearance and maintain one for the duration of employment.

Description: The U-2 Software & Avionics IPT Manager is responsible for managing cost, schedule, and technical delivery of multiple development & sustainment efforts with a team distributed across multiple sites. Purpose:
The Engineering Technician II will assist the Mechanical Engineer with designs, and creates, tests, and manufactures machinery, consumer products, and other equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Sets up and conducts tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate design proposals for improving equipment performance or other factors, or to obtain data for development, standardization, and quality control.
- Analyzes indicated and calculated test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives and modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specifications.
- Records test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test method.
- Conduct experiments and investigations under the guidance of engineers.
- Inspect inventory and reorder materials and technical components.
- Analyze operations and offer suggestions for improvement.
- Maintain records and assist with presentations.
- Attend conferences and participate in other learning and growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
