**Job Description**
The Engineering Technician is responsible for the creation, release, organization, and storage of Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO), bills of materials, drawings, specifications, and procedures. This role involves translating electrical and mechanical design specifications into production bills of materials.
**Responsibilities**
+ Work with engineering drawings and assist engineers, designers, and CAD operators in the preparation of engineering drawings.
+ Support new product development activities.
+ Perform other duties and activities as instructed by the manager.
+ Create and develop new item numbers, bills of material structure, and documentation to support manufacturing.
+ Complete documentation and final review for ECN's and/or ECO's and deviations.
+ Support drawing revisions using the latest software, with markups supplied.
+ Maintain the MRP database and support manufacturing discrete job changes.
+ Provide manufacturing engineering support as needed for all EPGA factories.
+ Coordinate and facilitate information exchange with other LS facilities/teams.

+ Create and submit customer-specific test reports and other deliverables.

**Job Duties:**
This position will provide project management direction from inception to completion of projects. They will be the primary contact in concert with the Administrative Engineer (Professional) for other public agencies, special interest groups and the general public regarding project activities. Other responsibilities include:
+ Maintain effective relationships with local units of government.
+ Provide overall direction and leadership to technical project teams in the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques in the management of project activities for moderate to major scale projects to meet the project requirements.
+ Ensure consistency with MnDOT strategy, commitments and goals.
+ Ensure proper program execution and compliance with MnDOT, state and federal procedures, practices, regulations, and standards.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Licensure as a professional Civil Engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID). (If obtaining licensure through Comity, a temporary permit from AELSLAGID must be provided to MnDOT HR prior to starting employment.)
+ Three years of post-registration transportation engineering experience at the Engineer Senior level or equivalent that demonstrates a thorough knowledge of all phases of program delivery including scoping, pre-design, final design and construction.
+ Valid Class D Driver's License.

Key Accountabilities:
- Develops and implements cross-BU global Portfolio- / Program- / Project Management guidelines, processes, methods and tools respecting existing standards (e.g. ISO; ICB 4.0, .) in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Analyzes and compares global and regional NALA Portfolios incl. Programs and Projects against each other with regards to standardized performance indicators (e.g. Schedule Performance Index, Cost Performance Index, Non-Conformance Cost, .) and case-by-case escalates to relevant committees.
- Collects, analyzes and distributes local, regional and global Lessons Learned aiming at continuously improving overall Portfolio performance.
- Provides Senior Management recommendations in various aspects of the efficient use of Project Management tools and tailors individual reporting.
- Helps as key user to Program and Project Managers in all aspects of the efficient use of the Project Management tools.
- Supports the integrated und cross-functional planning of programs and projects in operative Project Systems Business.
