Teledyne Qioptiq is currently seeking an energetic and results driven **Electrical Engineer Intern** to join our Electrical Design Team at our Miamisburg, Ohio site. The Electrical Engineering Intern will be responsible for assisting others in the conceptual and detail design of Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (ESADs) and Ignition Safety Devices (ISDs) for missile programs.
**Responsibilities** :
+ Assisting members of the technical staff to generate designs and support development activities for Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (ESADs or ESAFs) and Ignition Safety Devices (ISDs) for weapon systems.
+ Participates in performance testing and manufacturability assessment of products.
+ Performs simulations of simple-to-complex electronic circuits
+ May be asked to perform detail design, tolerance studies, and selection of electronic components while taking shock, vibration, thermal stress considerations into account.
+ Prepares engineering specs, and parts lists.
+ Writes engineering reports and assists in the preparation of technical proposals.
+ Participates in specification reviews, design reviews, pre-production builds, debug, and product testing.
+ Plans and determines test procedures.
+ Conducts laboratory experiments and investigations, as well as correlates and interprets observations and results.
**Requirements:**
+ Working towards a degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline is required.
+ Prefer experience in the design/development or other equivalent training in analog circuits with electronic components.
+ Knowledge of electronic design software (Altium, OrCAD, PSpice preferred) is preferred.
+ Must be proficient in MS Office.
+ Previous experience with military high reliability programs and working with Military Standards is desirable.

As a National Security Solutions Intern, you will:
KBR is looking for highly motivated rising Juniors, Seniors and Graduate students seeking business, engineering , and software development opportunities that provide challenging and meaningful work experience to be a part of our 202 5 Intern class.
+ Provide s technical support in engineering, science, IT or related field working in such areas as research, design, development, testing, or manufacturing process improvement. Performs simple routine tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures. Work is checked in progress or on completion. Technical adequacy of routine work is reviewed on completion; non-routine work may be reviewed in progress. Working towards graduate degree.
+ Ability to interpret complex information in a non-technical and engaging manner.
+ Identify problematic areas in data and conduct the necessary research to provide a lasting solution.

Anticipated Skill Set:

SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These fellowships include up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members. As an Engineering Manager, you will be using your skills and expertise to manage functional teams through program execution for our products and services. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You will represent the engineering department at all management level meetings. You'll ensure that the engineering design, documentation, and approvals meet the program schedules, are obtained in a timely manner and that engineering hours expended are productive, meeting program goals and budgets. You will own and continuously improve processes and procedures, oversee training of staff and provide technical direction as required.
**Responsibilities Include:**
+ Support project staffing plans, schedules, budgets, bids, and estimates for proposed program work packages, including the execution of risk mitigation plans.
+ Ensure the availability and effectiveness of required tools, processes, and training to achieve program success, while aligning with SNC tools/processes and industry best practices/standards.
+ Manage resource allocations required for program task execution, as well as risk, issue, and challenge identification.
+ Collaborate with the business to determine staffing requirements and help source, screen, interview, and hire top engineering talent.
+ Execute onboarding support, training, mentorship, and career path/talent development activities for engineering discipline teams.
+ Provide career path support, conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate conflict resolution.
**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Currently serving as active duty military and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program
+ Bachelor's of Science degree in a related discipline
+ Typically, 8+ years of progressive engineering experience, which includes 4+ years of management experience.
+ Thorough understanding of requirements management, requirements derivation, and requirements allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation principles
+ Experience working in and leading large systems design and development teams
+ Thorough Understanding of engineering principles and practices

+ Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills

**Qualifications We Prefer:**
+ Experience leading a multi-disciplinary team through system baseline definition and maturation exercises in a complex development setting
+ Thorough understanding of establishing, tracking, and addressing key programmatic risks
+ Practical knowledge of industry standard system engineering design principles, requirements management approaches, Traditional Systems Engineering and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) approaches
