+ Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
+ Contribute to the pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope.

Job DescriptionTHOR Solutions is actively seeking an Engineering Technician with electrical and mechanical experience to support Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) refurbishment and rebuild for Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) in Panama City, FL . An ideal candidate will possess experience supporting engineering efforts for a major NAVSEA, NAVAIR, Navy, or DoD equivalent program.
This is a temporary position, with an Mid/Late August 2025 start date and expected Mid/Late January 2026 end date.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Diagnoses cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of fuel heating units and other operational equipment, and performs preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Assembles, test, and calibrate electronic circuit cards with thermocouples, and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles.
- Clean and perform corrosion removal for stainless steel tanks. Apply sealants for final tank assembly.
- Modifies electrical prototypes to correct functional deviations under direction of Electrical Engineer.
- Read and implement wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and specifications for system or equipment modifications or expansion, and perform routine installation and maintenance duties.
- Conducts and documents required electrical and hydrostatic testing, and initiates modification or replacement of equipment that fails to meet acceptable operating standards.
- Support product evaluation and testing, using measuring and diagnostic devices to adjust, test, and repair equipment.
Location: Full time onsite in Panama City, FL.
Secret Security Clearance Eligibility Required: This position requires eligibility for a DoD Secret security clearance. A qualified candidate will either already possess an active or Interim Secret clearance (), or be eligible to obtain a new Secret clearance upon hire.
Typical Physical Activity: Repair and refurbishment activities in an engineering lab environment. May include: repetitive motion, soldering in a ventilated space, and maneuvering large objects up to 50-70 lbs with human/equipment assistance.
Typical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High school diploma/GED equivalent.
