What you’ll do You will work primarily outside (so it’s important you like all types of weather) to collect topographic survey data, set up and maintain project survey control, and complete construction layout and boundary field survey. You’ll also help with construction observation to make sure plans are followed. The workweek will exceed 40 hours, especially during construction season.
You’ll support the engineering and environmental functions of the firm. We promote a team environment, so you’ll work with fellow engineering technicians, engineers, environmental scientists and many more people. And you'll develop leadership skills that build autonomy.
What it takes An associate degree in Survey Engineering Technology, Engineering Technology or Construction Technology is a plus, but it is not required. A valid driver’s license is required. We’re looking for someone with some professional experience, but if you are a recent grad, eager to learn and motivated, we are interested.

Responsible for the repair and maintenance of plumbing, HVAC equipment, life safety equipment, pumps, exhaust fans, pneumatic tube systems, building automation, Med Gas systems, electrical equipment, and nurse call systems. Responsible for performing both unscheduled and preventive maintenance-related mechanical repairs to include packaged A/C and heating equipment, air handling units, pneumatically controlled thermostat systems, boilers, chillers, generators, pneumatic tube systems, variable air volume boxes, and other mechanical and electrical equipment comprising the hospital's utility system.
Maintains assigned equipment in a safe and orderly manner and responds to emergency calls. Performs PM duties to all assigned equipment and enters information into appropriate work order system.
Responsible for performing required testing of backup generator system, boilers, and chillers. Must be proficient in automatic transfer switch technology and the maintenance of both transfer switches and generators.
Responds to emergency calls and assists qualified technicians and other trained professionals on ETO gas Med Gas/Vacuum leaks, Power outages, HVAC, Plumbing, fire response, etc. Must demonstrate proficiency in all mechanical-related tasks in order to participate in the call-back program.
Responsible for ensuring that DHEC and Joint Commission standards are followed.
Performs other duties as assigned.

- This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Education - High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma/highest degree earned

Working knowledge of major hospital utilities to include HVAC, EPSS, Plumbing, and elevator systems. Building automation system knowledge preferred.

Summary
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports the engineering functions for the organization in areas such as troubleshooting existing processes and new process development.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementing projects to improve cost and quality of the manufacturing processes, products, and components
- Investigates and resolves mechanical and/or electrical work-in-process problems
- Performs duties as required by Manufacturing Engineers
- Responsible for programming and troubleshooting machines
- Works closely with the Quality Department to checking parts and assemblies for product and part returns
- Recommends and implements improvements and/or modifications in sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related matters
- Works closely with Product Engineering designers on product design feasibility and new manufacturing process development

- Coordinates with vendors regarding new product designs and machine parts
- Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe condition or practice to your supervisor.

Compensation Range:
The pay range for this position is $23.80 - $0.53. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between 24.00 to 24.00. - Work to analyze operational equipment efficiencies and make improvements based on A3/root cause analysis of top
items affecting OEE and Scrap
- Participate in the operational meetings
- Assist the NPI group as needed to ensure the flawless launch of the projects
- Perform work as assigned by supervisor
**Qualifications**
What you'll need to succeed:
- Currently pursuing a university degree in Engineering or Applied Science with a focus on automation or robotics
- Preference for candidates with skills in the following areas: Data Analysis, Electronics, Software Engineering, Robotics/
Automation, Mechatronics
