Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

Performs basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before communication and submittal to the Project Manager.

Communicates information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed by the PM.

Drive a vehicle such as a Ford F-150 or equivalent.

Follows safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Performs pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience or the equivalent in training and related experience.

American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Associate Welding Inspector (CAWI)

American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Level II certification in more than one of the following areas: Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Dye Penetrant Testing (PT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT).

Other national, regional, state, and local Materials related certifications requiring experience and written examination will also be considered if deemed appropriate by the Terracon Department Manager.

Job Description:
The Associate Director of Engineering position provides leadership and management of the Engineering & Maintenance departments. Responsibilities for Field Technician work will include working on a range of civil engineering related projects, and supporting our Project Managers and Civil Engineers, across our client base in Springfield, Missouri, to include:
- Perform field survey tasks on a variety of projects working directly with all survey personnel
- Provide periodic support to the design teams using computer-aided software for civil design projects including public infrastructure, water, sewer and drainage systems, site development and utility establishment
- Provide periodic construction observation and documentation on a variety of civil engineering projects for compliance with contract documents
- High school degree/GED plus equivalent fieldwork experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Ability to routinely lift 25+ lbs.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work and maneuver equipment around active construction sites

Job Description:
The Associate Director of Engineering position provides leadership and management of the Engineering & Maintenance departments. This position ensures that capital, compliance, and contract projects are well defined and executed per Jubilant HollisterStier management initiatives, the JHS project management system, and capital budget schedule. It is the responsibility of this position to ensure overall compliance of the engineering, maintenance, metrology, and PMO departments, as well as facility compliance with state, local, and federal regulations. This position ensures operations and projects are carried out under adherence to Good Engineering Practices and current Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Provide technical oversight and leadership to the engineering, maintenance, metrology and PMO departments to ensure stable ongoing operations.
- Establish, maintain, and control department budget through review and scrutinization of spending.
- Maintain and control the capital project schedule and budget.
- Assign and oversee all engineering projects including internal capital, compliance, and contract manufacturing.
- Manage engineering resources to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing for current and upcoming projects.
- Ensure facility, equipment, and engineering infrastructures are compliant to local, state, federal, and international regulatory agencies.
- Execute high level projects from conception, consistent with upper management objectives for business growth.
